Yeah beans and chickpeas make a stringy starch. In a pinch you can use the bean water or chickpea water to make Whiskey Sour instead of using an egg.

when you open a can of chickpeas the liquid in it is not just straight up water, it is a thic syrup like consistency, perhaps the chickpeas were not drained or rinsed prior to processing for this ration

Thats kind of a crappy mre, you would have to be very hungry and then I guess you would be happy to have it.

This reminds me I have over 30 MREs from 2015 that I have to go through and figure out what I want to do with them , I bought 12 cases of the 2015 MREs back in 2020 for $200 . It seemed like a good idea at the time. I ate the meals that I liked and was left with a few that I'm not really a fan of .. I think I even have some of the Training MREs left. .... I remember those odd MRE’s in Iraq… I don’t remember them looking exactly like that… but same concept. We gave them to the Arabs as they would normally refuse any MRE for fear of eating “normal food” bc they were thoroughly indoctrinated into ignorance. I do remember that they had both jam and peanut butter… which was unlike any of the standard MRE’s. We liked eating them just because they were “different”… but some of the vegetarian “mains” were just disgusting. Hot or cold… just truly bad.

"Peanut butter doesn't go bad..." No, it doesn't, especially if it has canola oil. I once, for an experiment, left a saucer of peanut butter our in the open. Three months later.... No fuzziness, no weird look or smell, no bugs or flies, no mice... just nothing. It's like peanut flavored plumber's putty. And I like peanut butter, I eat a lot of it. 😅

The 1st, peas and pasta looked like an asian meal. Like from India or china. It was made to look like a regular meal from that region.

the pot roast was always mushy i always liked the roast it was an actual chunk of meat reminds me of my deployment to Afghanistan we were working with the brits and by a twist of fate the captain one of the LTs and a sergeant had birthdays on the same day a Sunday in an off hand comment to my LT the capt said he wished he could have a Sunday roast that week everyone was eating American MREs so my LT and the capts assistant hatched a plan and they looted enough roast to feed everyone 1 for dinner like 125 guys my LT had a little celebration for the captain and we all ate together which is something the brits dont normally do sit in a group and eat enlisted and officer but it was a good time all in all

i was screaming at the screen you forgot the creamer its the most important usually we would add the coffee sugar creamer and the PB to the cocoa powder with a splash of water and i always eat mine off the crackers as i liked the little hit of salt sometimes i added a pinch from the salt packet to the mix helped balance everything out better

I have the green bag one in front of me, everything, even the brand appears the same, my menu is different though. I wondered the same thing about them when i bought this one lol

Hey, for any package of original Skittles that's older than 2013, you should make sure to savor the lime Skittles (green). That flavor was replaced by green apple in 2013. It's something to remember and note for your audiences in future videos. You cannot get lime Skittles in the US any more, and they were my favorite/2nd favorite, along with grape.

Best MRE I ever had. I was shocked how good it was. Throw a spare chili pepper packet from.... one of the mexican menus, can't remember which, and it elevates it even more.

just dip nouggat in your hot tea.. it'll melt like cheese .. all about growing up.. nouggats is a safe feel and thick filling .. we love it here ;)
