Like I've been saying for years about U.S. MRE'S, "If stored properly, they can last forever depending on the specific menu item. Others can last decades."
Another great review, my friend. The only thing I would have done differently is to drop one of those caramels in with that Army Mocha to take it to the next level.
As a young kid in the early 1960s, we were pinching pennies, so had Corned Beef Hash over rice a lot. I hated it. Much later in life, I would occasionally buy the canned stuff and eat it. I finally grew to appreciate it.
I have this one in my cabinet and can't wait to break into it! I served in Army back in the early 90's and this was a great meal even at room temperature which was the only option in the field. My favorite was "Omelet with Ham" (which I also have) but am a little more cautious about diving into.
Oh man, it was really fun back in the 90’s going to the surplus store and buying these, occasionally eating them while playing with my GI Joes….honestly they were all really good too hmm
When I was in the USAF from 04/86 to 12/90, we used to call the dehydrated fruit "fruit flavored Styrofoam. We would have to heat our MRE's with our aircraft support equipment.
At the end of the Gulf War in 1991 I recall that we were getting heaters with our MRE meals. I just can’t remember if the heaters came in the MRE envelopes themselves or if they were were issued separately. At any rate, we had those heaters before 1993.

I use to love this one. The oatmeal bars were my favorite actually.
Thanks for actually eating it! Love your videos

That was fun! One from my day in the army! Definitely ate a lot of this particular menu. Whomever stored that one did it right!
Basically at breakfast you had a choice of this or the omelette MRE. The oatmeal bar was always hard as heck.
Gotta love brown bags, great review mate, cheers

I don’t know how you don’t have well over 10k subscribers yet. Let’s try and get up to 50k by the end of the year!
Looks good for a thirtythree year old ration. 😎👍
I have been trying to get my hands on that oatmeal cookie bar for years! We had this in Saudi during Desert Storm.

I'm 90% certain they were separate for a while
