    I was under the impression compressors with oil pumps had internal parts that had oil passages to pump the oil to the rotating surfaces. If the R and PL are the same I guess the only purpose of the oil pump is to pump the oil through the filter and the PL lubricates with splash lubrication. Is that correct? How many CFM and HP is the compressor? Where did you come across it?

    • @tdm8817
      @tdm8817 Місяць тому

      Your correct the PL series has a different rotating assembly with drillings for oil just like a engine, tho I believe the pistons are the same. What I was getting at that I didn't word correctly is that it's the same base compressor with different internals. The block and the cylinder jug are the same and looking at the 2 from the outside there essentially identical with the exception of the PL series having a spin on oil filter and pressure gauge. The engine is rated at 30 HP I believe and the compressor is rated at approximately 75 cfm at 175 but I've adjusted the engine rpm down to 2200 and that gives me about 850 at the pump which according to the spec sheet should be about 60 cfm. Buddy of mine found it in a local classifieds add.
