My machine shop guy has a old Kellogg. America air compressor and he would throw whatever motor oil He had land around in it. That thing Was a good 30-40 years old and never been rebuilt He says the air conversation is gonna kick up the contaminates Anyway, so what's the difference And it doesn't have a filter on it, either.

The tribologist here says zinc additives are taking a chance because they impact the chemistry of the oil additive added to the base ua-cam.com/video/erxjPicpYyw/v-deo.html

Ya I've actually watched nearly all his videos and have heard how he doesn't recommend adding anything to oil. I need to make a separate video entirely about my thoughts on Engine oil. But basically the short version is that I've seen good things from using the Lucas zinc additive and have sent out many used oil samples and the oil analysis lab hasn't said anything about it yet so for the moment I'm going to keep using it. Tho I know that it's against recommend practices.

@@tdm8817 WHY are you not using the type of oil designed for the application ie SAE 30 (ISO 100) as the manufacturer states in the documentation ???
