@dyerseve3001 cool, I'll download the GC version and give it a shot. I hear that the remaster suffers from a lot of framerate issues. Which is a shame because it's on sale right now on Steam for like 5 bucks.

@@frankeckhardtii9072 while Soul Blazer is a fantastic game, I feel like Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma are much better experiences. If it were a Top 15 though, it would've definitely been on there.

E.V.O search for eden is a unique action RPG as well.

Also, Soul Blazer is not technically a part of the Gaia trilogy. With the creator of Soul Blazer likening it closer to Actraiser. I think that game didn't make your list either. Also, Brandish is a decent action Rpg for the snes. Apologies if you've discussed these already.

Chrono Trigger isn't an ARPG, it's turn based

@@octaviakitsune3988 Chrono Trigger is definitely my favorite game of all time. But yea, it's much more a turn-based rpg. But it's a great recommendation none the less!

Chrono Trigger is not an Action RPG. It uses an ATB system wich makes it turn based

@@gabegoforth you should, it's like cow and chicken and is more on destruction, but it's a heck of a lot of fun.

@ttank0_0 that's one that I haven't played yet. I have heard some great things about it though. And the evolutionary mechanic is really interesting.

@CHRISMED2 yes, it is so important that horror has strong music. And that it is definitely one of the best things about the game. So incredible to hear one of my favorite OSTs complete and expanded upon.

@Slaughter_Hill oh I definitely feel you on that, there were a couple of emotional moments that hit me like a ton of bricks. Just shows how timeless of a story/game it is. As soon as I get the time, I'm going to play through it again, I'm sure I missed a bunch.

@sapakowy4016 yea 8BA2 deserves a lot more praise and discussion than it gets, such a great time spent with that one, and easily holds up with the best of the scene.

@nercu743 I absolutely agree with everything you said! Crosscode is definitely a masterpiece, some of the most fluid gameplay in any indie that I've played yet. Sea of Stars was also my GOTY for 2023. A perfect blend of all of the classic influences, and the OST is damn near perfect.

@saintboy93 Chained Echoes will be number 1 for me for a while, I feel. Such a great experience.
