    How much energy this uses?

    • @HippieHillHomestead
      @HippieHillHomestead 20 днів тому

      Do you mean how much energy does the tracker use? It is uses very little energy. The exact amount depends on the linear actuator you use, the amount of weight you have on it and the amount of wind hitting your tracker. I have 7 amp hr batteries for mine and they last a long time. Remember the linear actuator is only on for a few seconds at a time as the sun moves across the sky.

    Finally a review on an actually used canner instead of brand new one out of the box. I have had my 941 & 925 (925s Are not as common but have a better internal height than the 920) for over ten years and love them. Yes HEAVY , the weight is easy to tell empty on the larger canners , 941 is about 41# ,925 about 25# and NO you do not want to put them on a glass top. It's mainly a heat distribution issue but a fully loaded 914 can push 80# plus canning outside/ open garage really helps keep the heat out of your kitchen.

    With it being so large it really needs to be anchored to the ground. And the chicken wire is not going to keep predators out. You may want to think about putting some thick hardware cloth around the entire run and extend it out on the ground.

      @HippieHillHomestead Місяць тому

      Hi Michele, we did anchor it to the ground. We show driving our anchor pipes 2 feet deep and then connecting the bows to them. We also ran our wire 2 feet out and stacked rock on it. Then we ran 2 runs of electric fence around it. It has been 3 years since we built this coop and not one predator has made it through our defenses. Lol. Thanks for the comment.

      Short answer is yes.. There are many types of mounts and manufacturers. Each one is designed different, you will need to center ( balance) your unistrut to each individual head. I have 6 of these and each one is different. If you have anymore questions please let me know. Thanks for watching. Bob

    Thanks for sharing. I do have a question about your dog. I’ve read that yarrow is toxic to nothing cats and dogs. How do you keep your dog safely away from your yarrow plants? I’d love to learn how. We also have a cat that loves eating plants. I’d love to have bith yarrow and make tea to drink as well as tinctures but not at the detriment of our beloved pets. Thanks so much and God bless.❤

      We have dogs and cats but I haven't witnessed either eating our yarrow. Thanks for watching and God bless.
