First time viewer, here. All the noisy critters are so funny! Your tall tomato trellises are terrific! I have not seen any trellises this tall, or even close on any other channel. Now I can show my husband. He sees all of the little 5' cages and doesn't believe that I can't stake our indeterminate tomatoes. What state are you in?

Hi Donna, We are in TN zone 6. I had to build huge cages to hold the weight of the plants and the tomatoes. Here is a link to one of my videos showing how big our plants get. Thanks for the comments. ua-cam.com/video/fDKN6-K19yE/v-deo.html

Can't wait for them to grow like 100ft tall lol
I feel like mine aren't growing at the pace they should be, and some have giant flower clusters but then terminating the stems. So I have to let a sucker under it grow. I guess still part of the learning curve 😅

Hi Matthew. Thanks I hope they do well. There is a learning curve when growing any plant. Just keep experimenting with your plants and write down what works and what doesn't. I am confident you will do great growing your tomatoes this year. Good luck my friend.

I’m sorry, so is it the trellis that allows them to grow that large? Or is the variety or something else… ?
Watched a couple of your vids & it’s not very clear. Thank you!

Hi Jenna, Sorry I should have done a better job explaining it. I need a sturdy cage / trellis because of the weight of the plants and tomatoes, they are not the reason the plants grow so large. The type plant does matter. It needs to be an indeterminate tomato variety. The most important things are full sun and healthy soil. You get healthy soil by not tilling the soil, adding compost, growing cover in the winter and adding organic matter such as leaves and wood chips. When you have healthy soil your plants have what they need to be healthy and grow to their full potential.
