Best part of the video @ 3:11 “that’s the thing with watches. You buy something, you go to sell it, you’re gonna take a loss”. All watch collectors need to know this is fact. And usually a big loss, very fast. So, with very few exceptions, if you buy that new watch, and in 3 months you want to sell it, the used market buyer doesn’t care that it’s only 3 months old, it’s still going to be valued by the market as used at 30, 40, 50% less than what you paid. Great advice!

There is this thing called “dress watch”, I’m not sure if you ever thought of it. Time only, on a leather strap, steel or precious metal depending on your budget. Having that many watches from one or two categories is exhausting in my opinion.

I buy watches, get tired of them but hate to loose money so I just accumulate. Will not stop buying them. When I pass to the other life, my son will have to deal with my obsession.

Should add the Omega blue side of the moon watch. That aventurine dial will blow you away as you look into deep space.❤❤😂😂😂

There's a reason your version of the BB GMT wasn't a hit, same with the regular BB. People didn't like a giant brick on the wrist. The BB58 was a massive hit, so the clear GMT choice was to follow that new size. Love the new BB in monochrome.

i wind the watch when i think it's "fun". i don't wind the watch when i think it's "fun". i put them on teh watch winder on when i think it's "fun". i don't put them on the watch winder when i think it's "fun".. i just lay them on the table when i think it's "fun". It's just there to enjoy , as simple as that but branching off into different "fun"

I really loved your collection and I am happy u uploaded. I have been getting tired of seeing the same stuff over and over again and your collection has been by far my favorite so far. Personally, i find very difficult to buy other watches to add to my collection as I feel I can't justify it and worry sometimes that I am a lil too obsessed with watches in general. But overall relate to your video, especially the beginning you were talking about taking a break from everything

I did a quick count, and it looks like half of your massive collection consists of dive watches! That’s great if it works for you, but personally, I couldn’t forgive myself for owning so many watches from the same category. To me, it would feel like just chasing trends or hype and not putting in the effort to explore other styles and possibilities.

Nice collection! It gets way better towards the end of the video. The watches at the beginning in my opinion are too many of the same type, I guess you wear the premium watches a bit more nowadays! Definitely feel you about the Rolex AD, I was lucky enough to get a Dayjust during Covid, and I tried to get a sub w date, I was playing their game for a while, not worth it, I moved on. There are way better watches out there, specially for aficionados, we like complications and complexity, Rolex ends up being pretty basic iMO. Best regards.

Nice collection! I don't give a hoot about Rolex, never have. The only two I might be interested in, are Explorer 36 and Air King. I'm an Omega guy. Never had a problem with just walking into an AD and getting anything I wanted!

People are sleeping on the new Seiko mini samurai or what some call the Shogu-Rai. I have the gun metal case model (SRPL15) and it is a great watch. Great case design, the knurled bezel and crown look very industrial and tool-y. The movement is solid and stable. Way more accurate and stable compared to my SPB143 with a 6R. I got 20% off retail so if you can get it on sale, which shouldn't be hard it is a great watch and overall just looks badass.

Rolex allows AD’s to behave this way as they could have more input to the buying experience I would think. Either way I agree the AD experience is a poor one and a waste of time

Lovely collection!! I could see an Omega Seamaster in my future!! Which Rolex model(s) were you going after? The AD dance is annoying, but certain models are available now on walk-ins depending on where you're at. Obviously something two tone would also be easier to get.

Regret selling mine ,maybe should consider buying again now with the blue dial instead of the black one i had
