I just bought the same reference while in Tokyo, what an incredible watch. Nice choice!

The name Grand Seiko is printed on the dial. The GS Monogram is placed on it. These are two loose letters glued on.

Watch out. I started with that same watch, and then a GS diver, GS GMT, and one for my wife. They are addicting 😀

A Grand SEIKO is my grail watch too. I’d love to go to the brick & mortar store in NYC to buy one. Still saving up some money to do that but seeing your unboxing of your GS really has me excited! Congratulations on obtaining such a beautiful new watch! I’m curious, what if anything is your new grail watch?

It’s actually Tudor Prince Date Day I just bought. I posted a video on it a month ago.

Thanks for the video! I currently also have a Seamaster Pro 300m on my wrist (black dial) and am considering this watch. I want something a bit dressier than the Seamaster for more formal occasions and this just might be the one for me. I've always wanted a spring drive, in steel, and this might be the best one I've seen. I won't be able to try it on, so I'll need to find somewhere that accepts returns if it doesn't fit my relatively small wrist. Wish me luck!

The only thig that continues to draw me back to the Snowflake is the blued second hand. This watch is sweet though. Tough choice.

I'll probably buy a Snowflake (SBGA211) as my first Grand Seiko Spring Drive, but if I eventually get a second GS SD, it will probably be the SBGA203. The case finishing and light reflection on the GS SBGA model dials is just amazing.
Also, I went to Little Treasury Jewelers myself a couple weeks ago (live about 30 miles away) and they appear to be an excellent watch retailer. They did an excellent job answering my questions and let me try out different watches, in particular the GS Snowflake and some Omegas (Speedmaster, Aqua Terra, and Globemaster models in particular; I really like the blue pie pan dial Globemaster). If/when I buy the Grand Seiko Snowflake, I plan to buy it at LT Jewelers.

I bought my wife a lady snowflake there. Great AD. I would have bought mine but the price was too good pass on.

Love your reviews brother!!! I was wondering would you choose the sbga375 Grand Seiko or a Platinum dial SMP Omega? My collection consists of Cartier: large Santos. Omega heritage diver. Grand Seiko: olive dial GMT.

Thank you! That’s a really tough choice. Is the gmt a diver? I may lean towards the grand seiko for the spring drive. It’s such a cool movement. Then again, the seamaster is amazing too.

Is this in titanium or stainless steel?

Stainless steel. I actually prefer it since it weighs more.

@@TheTimekeeperin general Grand Seiko like most watches don’t hold strong value after you take them out the store. Only a few models retain or appreciate. Anything in the main catalog I would always look at used first.

You must be “living, right!“ the watch you reviewed really caught my attention for all the same reasons it did you. “Elegant“ is an understatement. My collection is much smaller and “less fiscally challenging” but I may start putting some money away for some thing like the 203 in the $3000 range. I love the mechanics of an automatic watch, and I’m patient. Although, at 74 years old it’s easier now than it was 30 years ago! Lol!

watch is nice but the point of getting a grand seiko is the dial.

I mean that movement and finish for that price is still a ton of value.

I prefer the black dial. Would be nice if it had something special to it as long as it's black.
