My Aqueon 2.5 gallon aquarium with 2 fish.
This is my Aqueon 2.5 gallon aquarium with an endler live bearer guppy and swordtail dalmatian molly. I got the tank and guppy free off Facebook marketplace last summer. The guppy is "Spike" and the molly is "Kirby" (He suctions up the food).
Spike is at least 3 years old. Kirby came from Petco last summer. They seem to get along fine.
The tank is very easy to keep up. I do a half water change every 1-2 weeks (usually weekly), wipe down the inside of the tank walls, and rinse the filter out. I've only changed the filter once so far, but it works fine. I do the water change using a siphon and bucket to be sure to get the debris off of the bottom. Using the over the side feature of the filter would not remove much, if any, bottom waste.

How I Fixed My Sagging Mattress Part 2. Two Year Update.

Two years ago (see part 1), I removed the waffle foam layer from the back of the quilted top cover to solve the slump issue. I did leave one thin layer of regular foam attached. Recently, I began to experience severe lower back pain and again noticed a slump where I sleep. I removed the remaining foam from the backside of the quilted top, and once again, the bed is back to level. I do not reatt...

The last one told me the exhaust fan was not operating right and the fan couldn't be replaced because the company closed and no other fans were compatible. Based on this I almost had the stove taken out, but I decided to make one last effort to fix it. Yes, we had this stove cleaned regularly by "professionals"...

      @ellesnyder942 it's not a lot of upkeep once the ball is rolling, but the startup cost is more I admit that. The planted tank will cycle and take care of itself, so you really will only need water changes. You could get little shrimps or snails too :) Think about it, you will do good!

      @@jamesb5838 This tank couldn't be easier to keep up. It takes me maybe 5 minutes tops to siphon out 1/3 - 1/2 of the water, rinse the filter, wipe the inside of the plastic and refill the tank. I've had it as is since I got it 10 months ago, and the previous owner had it this way for at least 2 years. I don't see any benefit in making this tank more complex than it needs to be. I appreciate seeing aquariums that people enjoy putting that kind of effort into, but I am not into that. I know shrimp have their fans, but they're a bit too much like bugs to me.

      On previous mattresses I'd put a 3/4" piece of plywood between the mattress and the box spring which helped some but the damage is usually in the thin foam that is on the backside of the top cover. In this video, I removed the waffle layer from the back of the cover which worked well until now. I recently removed the remaining thin layer on the back of the cover and again was fine. If you want it a little cushier you can always buy a mattress topper and put in on top or under the top cover. It will work for a while but eventually crush down too. My previous mattress what a low end Sealy and it began to slump within the first month.

      Hi- Mine does not have an ignitor. I buy a bag of starter that is treated wood shavings. I put a small bit of pellets in the firepot, a small amount of starter shavings, more pellets, some more shavings and light it. You turn the stove on and push the start button and as it heats up the thermostat will trigger the room fan to kick on. I prefer the treated shavings starter to the gel.

      @@jacobburke2506 I have one more bit of information that may be helpful to you at some point. If you find that no matter how you adjust the knobs you end up with too many pellets to the point they overflow the fire pot- read on. Both the room fan and the flame adjustment knobs will have an effect on the rate the auger feeds the pellets. If all adjustments fail to help, there is a place to adjust the rate of feed. When facing the unit, open the panel on the right side (where your adjustment knobs etc are located. On the inside of that panel, on the backside of where all those knobs are is the pc board. On that board, in the lower left corner, is a round thing with some numbers on it and a wedge shaped section in silver (the rest is black.) If you turn it counter clockwise it will slow the feed down, if you turn it clockwise it will speed it up. I slowed mine from about a 4 o'clock position to a 2.5 position. I am just now testing it out and it seems to be helping. NOTE: When i got my fan repaired he used a larger capacitor so mine may have speeded up causing that issue but all the same, it's good to know you can slow it or speed it up if necessary. This adjustment is made at the factory.

    Terrible how these companies are using such inferior materials and then charging multiple thousands of dollars for these mattresses. I don’t know what you paid used but I feel sorry for the people you purchased it from. They must have lost a LOT of money on a mattress they had for only 2 years. Shame. Corporate greed at its finest! I’m glad you were able to solve it and get some good use out of the mattress. Too bad you cut it instead of just pulling the thread to remove the tape that holds the top on.

    • @ellesnyder942
      @ellesnyder942 Рік тому

      And they de-volved mattresses so most are no longer flipable so you have to buy them even sooner than before. No difference between cutting or pulling a thread- you still end up with an open mattress. With a sheet on it, it doesn't matter.

    • @ellesnyder942
      @ellesnyder942 6 місяців тому

      I've seen the video of pulling the thread but didn't have the patience to find it. Doesn't make any difference - once it's open it's open. Only the outer layer was cut, no foam damaged. The previous owner had gone thru several mattresses and supposedly only used this one for 6 months. It had pretty significant slumps. Once i removed most of the padding on the underside of the top cover, it was fine until about a month ago when I started having a lot of pain again. I removed the last of the padding from the back of the cover and it was fine again. It is insane that they can charge more than a few hundred dollars once you see what's inside of the mattress.

      bk gardner I found a local mechanic who can work on anything. It turned out that the Milwaukee Vespa mechanic added an extra spacer to the assembly resulting in the difficulty in turning the key. I'd have to check my files but I think did have the ignition replaced after this video.

    Hi im thinking of purchasing this exact laminate floor. How's the sound transfer? Is this installed on a 2nd level? My main purpose is to reduce the sound transmission to the lower level. Recently i could hear my tenants in the lower level which is making me switch from my cheap laminate to something thick like this model.

      +ledades We tend to wear rubber soled shoes- athletic and hushpuppies- so sound has never been an issue. The grey one has an attached pad- the Shaw (seen thru the doorway) has a seperate underlayment of "Silent Step". I can't say we've noticed a difference between the two, however our home is a single story manufactured home. We recently bought a 5'x7' rug for it to and a pair of curtains to make it more like a den. I'll have to update with new shots.
