Elle... really appreciate the video!! May I ask 2 questions....1. Can you receive faxes as well as send them? 2. Do you need a separate Magic Jack for the printer that is separate from voice?
@jman5550 You're welcome. I can send & receive and I don't need a separate Magic Jack- however, I don't keep the magic jack hooked up to the printer- only when I need to fax. If you needed to use it regularly, or to be able to receive faxes any time, then you might need a separate device. Its possible they have a MJ unit for 2 lines- it's worth a question to them. Then there's the issue of the printer going to sleep when nothing is happening... I am not a techie - I just figured out how to fax when I need to - which is not very often.
Ok i have a q question i know magic jack have a regular line and fax line and regular line you pay one fee x year and fx line pay by month so regular line can use that for fax?
@@theriseoftony if you're going to use magicJack then it has to be activated. if you want to hook it up to just a landline then the landline has to be activated. if you have magicJack activated then you do not need to have your landline activated

Well my router plugs into the land line, so I kinda do need a landline LOL

I pay a yearly fee for magicjack phone line. The fax uses that phone line.
Thank you. Does it actually fax flawlessly or are there hiccups on the receiving end
I have had no problems with it.
Can I use a regular fax machine with magic jack ...
I would assume so. It's still a fax either way.
Does magic jack has to work for this to work bc I never renew it lol
Uh, yeah...check the title. Of course if you have a regular landline you could hook up to that.
@@ellesnyder942 k thanks bc I thought the phone line had to be activated to use it lol
