Everything I LOVE and HATE about my Lucid Air Touring!
I leased my Lucid Air Touring 6 months ago and I've really enjoyed getting to know the car over the past 2500 miles I've driven in it. Lucid is absolutely killing it on their first ever production car- but there's a lot left to do. Today I'll dive deep and reveal the ownership experience of living with Lucid Air!

Переглядів 16 тис.4 місяці тому
2 years ago I bought my 987.2 Porsche Cayman S, and I've absolutely loved owning this car! But there are 2 minor issues that have been so annoying to deal with; I've always hated the stupid push button shifter steering wheel that launched with first generation PDK Porsches, and my door speakers are absolutely shot. Today we'll address both of those issues! Step by step guide for replacing 987 s...
Why I leased a Lucid Air and YOU should too!
Переглядів 252 тис.6 місяців тому
Today let's examine my new Lucid Air Touring! I just leased this 2024 Lucid Air in the stealth package because Lucid has some incredible deals going on right now, and they add to what is undoubtedly a really well built EV. I'll explain 2 key things today: 1, why is nobody buying Lucid? And 2, why you absolutely should. If you do plan to buy or lease a Lucid, you can use my referral code to rece...
Is a used Audi A6 the best daily driver for sub $30,000?
Переглядів 16 тис.8 місяців тому
I leased this 2021 Audi A6 nearly 3 years ago, and as my lease comes to an end it seems fitting to talk about my experience with this phenomenal car! An A6 might not be the most exciting thing on the road, but now that they can be found for less than $30,000, they might be the most slept on luxury daily driver for cheap

Why is this 2009 Porsche TWICE the price of a 2008?
Переглядів 234 тис.Рік тому
Thanks to shenanigans, I own 2 987 Porsche Caymans. With one 987.1 2008 Cayman S and one being a 987.2 2009 Cayman S. With a rather unique opportunity at hand, I figured this was a good time to offer a comparison between two very similar cars... for twice the price, does a 98.2 Cayman S give you that much more than one just a year older? Let's walk through it and find out!

You and Marques Brownlee should have a competition to see who can drive fastest on public roads 🤪
I wished their software gets upgraded and they get fsd. that's a deal breaker for lots of potential buyers. I wish lucid success. love their attention to detail and engine and charging technology. Ty for the video.
at 120k miles, I don't care about the IMS, at that point it's not going to be the worry point.
Albania is like a heaven for old MB cars, it's where these cars live a second life. And because their quality, MB is the most sold brand on used market. These cars are amazing. My dad has one (w124 E300) as a 2nd car, with 320 tkm, bought 20 years ago with 150 tkm. Still driving like a 🏆. But in you're case I think that the cars were not well taken care of in the past. I've seen W124 with a lot higher mileage than these and in better shape. Nevertheless, great video and adventure 👏
Nuh. You need at least 450 miles range EV nowdays..
Imagine a 986 Cayman S...
2009 sounds better. I have driven two Tiptroics a 996 C2 and a 986 2001
Well done review.
For 169000 better be a tesla killer
Funny thing about the Apple CarPlay stopping music...my 2022 Toyota Tundra does the same thing. Might be an Apple problem?
That dealers rip off car owners has long been a fact; without going into details a Nissan dealer located just North of Dallas once quoted me $1000 to replace a $5 part, literally a 20,000% mark up, with a socket set and pliers I was able to perform the fix in 30 minutes, so even with labor it would have been a 1000% markup, assuming they'd go ahead and claim an hour. Learning DIY car maintenance may in fact be one of the best investments in acquiring knowledge a person can make. I was in Dallas attending a training program for a job, so didn't have tools with me or I'd never have gone to a dealer in the first place. If you really do need skilled repairs done, research and find a well recommended private mechanic shop they don't have a steady stream of clueless car owners that will agree to any price they quote.
hope one day i will have my own 💔😭 cross fingers
Just have to point out the Model S LR torque listed on that comparison was incorrect. It's hard to find a non-Plaid torque figure, but the most-likely-correct number I've seen is 723 lb-ft of torque. The Air Touring has more torque and the Model S LR has more HP. And the Air Grand Touring beats them both.
Great video, very informative thank you! 🎉
Totally agree, very nice car, initial price is very high but used price is a bargain, again being a luxury German car, with high maintenance costs, keep buyers away. I am getting a used( 2019 top trim) one soon, hopefully pick it up next week.
Fisker 2.0
Fair review, I would like to point out a misconception though. Nobody offers a self-driving system for purchase yet, and self driving isn't necessarily relegated to EV's only.
Tesla FSD is as close as you can get to owning FSD under current US regulations.
Mercedes’ Drive Pilot is available for purchase (although not fully self driving I suppose)
@@ericgregori you think regulations are what's preventing Tesla from solving real FSD? Lol.
This car is nowhere comparable to Tesla.
I was able to lease my 2023 Lucid Air Pure AWD for $1000 down and $315/month! My wife and I battle over who gets to drive it since it’s so fun! The new software updates have drastically improved the car too!
Wow! That's an insanely good deal!
Wow, how on earth did you swing that? I have a no-money down, $700/month 18-month lease, which I thought would be hard to beat, but that deal certainly does!
Madly in love with this car! Beats EVERYTHING else I've seen! However, I am very impressed by NEVS EMILY GT! but they probably can't manage to make an interior like Lucid air.
Greetings from a Lucid driver in Europe! I really enjoyed your video and I completely agree with your criticism. The software definitely needs further development - unfortunately we haven't received any new updates here in Europe for months. Nevertheless, I enjoy every kilometer I drive in this car. It's definitely a real eye-catcher!
I’m not a big “car technology” person, as much I find the “beta testing” thing with car software a bit revolting, Lucid is a new company, and I think I can forgive them to a degree on still trying to figure some stuff out
Great video. I have had my Lucid the exact same amount of time and could not agree more about the software issues. It’s got to get better or it will never match up to Tesla. I’ve had three Teslas and the ride quality of each sucked, but the tech blows away Lucid. Time will tell if the software improves overall once the Gravity is released.
I’ve had a Genesis GV60 for 8 months and I’ve driven it over 9,000 miles! You should take your Lucid on the road 😅 The drive up to Morro Bay is nice, you should be able to make it without stopping and there’s a nice EA station there. I love my GV60 and I’ve had none of the frustrations you describe. Not quite the range your Lucid has but more range than my bladder has, so I’m good. You should check out the GV60 when your lease is up.
You didn't mention the charging experience. I would think EVgo and Electrify America are sh!t shows - that's what everyone else has said. I don't recall Lucid signing onto the Tesla charging standard. That said the car is fine but I personally don't think they did a good job on the look. It looks frumpy. It doesn't look sporty, futuristic or fast. They won't be making a profit for a long, long time and only still exist because of Saudi Arabian oil money.
Over the past year I’ve had no problems with EA or EVgo in my Genesis GV60. I’ve taken several fairly long road trips. I’m not saying others aren’t having problems but it’s not as bad as some people say. Lucid did sign up for Supercharger access, it should be available soon. However, because Tesla doesn’t fully support 800v cars, the charging speeds will be limited at Supercharger stations.
70k is a very good price, and you get 420 mile range!
So you don’t buy the DDpro and complain you don’t have it? Give me a break!
Self driving is bullshit….fsd SUCKS
Best car I ever bought!
I've had really bad wind noise the driver side pillar. Ruins the whole driving experience
Lucid is meant for driving . My two dodges do the glitch a lot . The lucid has engineering way beyond Tesla . I’ll take the air for 70k
Why is a EV at this price point having these deficiencies? WTF???! I got an Ariya Evolv+ E4orce and EV6 GT and never had any such problems and both have 360 view cameras some of semi-self driving stay in the lane whatevers and they all just, and they work fine with android auto (and supposedly both support crApple craplay) and never had an issue using it with my android phones, and both EVs combined would cost less than 1 stupid Lucid.
Voice control will improve overtime. It just got out 😂
My Avg is 3.6 mi/kwh. I got almost 4.6 mi/kwh on my East caost road trip. Touring also weigh less and feels much more agile than GT
2024 Tesla Model 3 RWD LR (18''). Efficiency (mi/kWh): 4.9
Do not use LAX. Say the whole thing lol
You beat me to it!😂
2nd Best car i have ever owned. Only 2nd to my GT4 lol. But no Joke. This car is the Perfect everyday car. Comfort handling power and performance. Nothing comes close. That 670 hp per motor is limited by the batter size.
How could you not mention the bore scoring issues? That's the biggest difference for me
This thing is heads and shoulders above Tesla and it’s genuinely not even close

WoooooooW Nice color 👌
lucid and the taycan are my favorite ev
Nice review and pretty much is in line with my Lucid Air Pure experience. The Gravity looks very nice but I am also looking forward to the smaller Earth model in a couple of years.
Might buy one of these used in a few years if Lucid is still operating as a company. Their Gravity pre-orders are open now and I think there will be a lot of Lucid Airs on the used market when they actually start delivering the Gravity. I definitely would not lease or buy new, yet, though. Just throwing away money IMO.
Lease is really good. I bought mine almost 100k build. Went down to 92K in stock. So i got 5k off. Plus 7.5k air credit and 7.5 k lease deal. I put 1k for deposit. 18 months 15k miles. After that i can buy it for 62K with 15k miles. 😂
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOO LUCID🏆🫡 FAMILY WOOHOO!😁👏👏🙋♂️❤️🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🎇🎆🎇🎆🎇ADDING ON AND HOLDING STRONG GOONIES NEVER SAY DIE!😉👍🙌💎💎💎💎THAT'S THE LUCID GUARANTEE 🫡 💯
this color looks good…⚡️⚡️…WOW
I'm curious how you feel about the glass roof. I'd be concerned having one here in the south.
Nice car! One thing I would do if I owned Livid would be to add more color options and combinations for the interior!
Definitely
I've test driven many Evs including Tesla S and Taycan but nothing can be even compared to Lucid Air it's an amazing car.

You'll hear the term "peasant blockers" from other reviewers as well. It's not new.
