It resonated with me and reminded me of a quest I found incredible in a game that, while not exceptional overall, featured this moment where you visit a factory creating NPCs. Throughout the quest, you gradually break the fourth wall. I wouldn't go as far as to say the quest moved me deeply, but it was powerful to see the characters realize they were in a game. It's really cool when developers surprise us like that.

Did it ever get discovered organically? How do you get this to happen in the game without ripping the dialogue?

Reminds me of the story i heard where a player kept rolling for perception within a room with nothing in it. When they rolled a Nat 20, the DM tells the player that their character suddenly feels small and sees giants sitting around it…… looking down at the character…… with massive paper pieces strewn about. Then the character suddenly snaps out of it.

That’s so interesting that the grove, a place now so heavily associated with Silvanus, wasn’t even for him originally, but for Eldath. I think the direction of Silvanus was a good move considering the moral alignment of the druids. Elgath is too peaceful a deity to have followers who try to kick out/kill refugees

These should be restored with mods.
