    The actual true story of the Littlehampton Letters is a real life cracking story, and would of made a great movie, but the film makers decided to make it racially diverse and they decided to make Rose an unmarried mother, who lied about having a husband die in the war. In real life Rose was married to a white English man, (black live in lover in the film) and the child she looked after was her sisters. PC Gladys Moss was also white and English, but they made her Indian, the judge was black and so was the postmistress, its highly unlikely this would of been the case in real life. They decided to make the Irish Rose common and vulgar, in one scene she pulled up her dress and exposed her ass to the police, in 1920's England, this on its own would of carried a prison term! The whole debacle on it own would of made a great film, I dont know why they decided to veer so far off what actually happened! Had this been set in 2024, England is indeed very racially diverse, but it was the 1920's, when England would of been over 99% white.

    Wokeness or progressivism generalizes about people, especially critical theory. Critical theory says: If a group is overrepresented, the system is privileging this group. But leftist usually dont belive in it if the own group is overrepresented. You cannot see based on these factors if there is discrimination. Critical theory was always used against successful groups like Jews. The racists of the past thought Jews are evil, because Jews are so successful and overrepresented and they believed there must be a system and there must be intitutions that benefits them. Therefore they used words like Jewish Science, Jewish media etc. You always have different success of different groups, that has nothing to do with discrimination or you cannot see if there is discrimination based on these data sets. I would rather guess the discrimination was the other way around that the system discriminated Jews.

      @@amys0482 Yes its off topic. I answered before I finished the video. I thought that is about wokeness again and how it is the superior ideology and nothing is bad about it although it is a negative ideology that created separation since centuries. Sorry for the offtopic. I did not take a course. Such courses do not exist in my country, I dont llive in the USA. But of course wokeness and especially critical theory definitely does exactly that. It creates hate and is based on generalization. That is why Americans are never woke on a country basis. That would mean they are the most discriminating people worldwide and nobody woke want to be an oppressor or discriminating bigot. But that is what they are according to this ideology. You are systemically discriminating the rest of the world, That is also why nobody takes these people seriously because they are not honest people.

    • @amys0482
      @amys0482 20 днів тому

      @@AdamWeisshaupt I do not think that is true. This perspective sounds like the propaganda I hear decrying critical race theory. It does not sound educated on the actual course syllabus of these classes, which is to teach about the history of racism through a critical lens. You could apply the same rubric to gender studies with the same pearl clutching, but it's just education on history with critical analysis. The division comes from oppositional groups who oppose educating voters on these topics.

    • @AdamWeisshaupt
      @AdamWeisshaupt 20 днів тому

      @@amys0482 Critical theory was formulated in Germany to find a comprmise between capitalism and Communism (that is written in wikipedia). In the times of the black death, crical theory (at that time it did not have a name) they used it against the Jews. Afterward the same theory was also used (I think by the Guardian) to explain systemic racism against black people. I use the example to show the flaws of the theory. One group, the black people, died more and one group, the Jewish people, died less. So the Guardian said it was systemic racism that more black people died but that also means it was systemic racism that less Jews died. And this kind of thinking was responsible that people thought Jews control the world. You cannot see the discrimination based on representation. The cause of death does not say anything on this regard. And this flaw is the basis for the hate of woke people. They use theories that say nothing about discrimination but just assume discrimiantion. We had a lot of people that voted Merkel because she is a women. That is definitely sexism. But these woke people claim you cannot be sexist as a women or are only outraged on one side and that is what these theories are supporting.

    I appreciate hearing your voice and opinion and I agree with basically all of it, though I hadn't been a fan of Kamala Harris before. I had read something negative about her time as attorney in California that had bad impact on single moms, something to do with schools and how they require kids to be there, and that Harris's response to criticism on this was very dismissive and her office tried to deny it for a long time before finally admitting and trying to repair it and doing the apology tour. At least that was my understanding, maybe I didn't get that right, but at the time, I think it was when Biden got the nomination originally, and there's issues on his track record too, but ultimately I was like.. yknow, of course they are a bazillion times better than the republicans.. they are still institutionalists, capitalist people who believe in hierarchy instead of who's really best for the job.. I think thats a mistake. She may be pretty good but the fact she got VP doesn't equate automatically to she's got what it takes to be president. Also, its not just about if she's a good president in general, which sure she might be, but in these specific times, is she the right person to fight the extreme right? I'm not sure... but, I also haven't been up to date on a lot of things the past year- I had to take a complete step back from it all cuz my anxiety was making me unable to take care of daily life, and my two littles. so.. I want to believe in Kamala, I think I was being too harsh on her and that overall she is a great candidate. Take a look at that Badreads article if you don't mind forking over your email address (you can always unsubscribe) as you might find it relatable. The single moms thing you are referring to is the program Kamala launched early in her career that penalized parents when students were truant too much. The intent of the program is to keep kids in school and not allow parents to abuse their children by using them as surrogate babysitters or denying them education for other reasons. Studies show that kids who stay in school do better. The criticism came from people who argued it unfairly burdened poor families and single mothers and that using the justic system to solve community issues is an overreach. I actually like Kamala Harris more from this experience, not because it was a perfect program but because it was educational in how seemingly simple systemizations to improve things can have pitfalls. I personally think this explains why Harris is hard to pin down for her stance on things. She doesn't quip simple platitudes to complex problems. She is measured and contemplative. Also, the fact that she is on record for apologizing means she is not a narcissist. Narcs are pathologically incapable of admitting error, even over stupid things. Kamala is emotionally intelligent as well as educated and experienced. As for the extreme right, she is a prosecuting attorney going up against a convicted felon.

You might argue there's no way she'd get to the top of the profession without being good, and she's absolutely proficient, but there's lots of corruption in democrat party and like I said, that heirarchy thing and capitalism run rampant.. the class issue you bring up. Change from your usual videos but why not comment on the wider world if it feels personal to you! As a European economic leftie I often find the political discussions in the US to be theatre with both sides avoiding policy (we are almost as bad). I would point out that Woke and Diversity are not left-wing positions, not unless you believe that the most capitalist companies in the world like Black Rock, Goldman Sachs, Raytheon etc are all on the "left". All of the big corporates have adopted these policies with departments and board members dedicated to them. They do not lobby against them like they do tax and regulation policy. Where I would agree is that there is a class war happening, being carried out by the professional class (including the likes of Biden and Harris) on behalf of the donor class. The Trump vote includes the F U vote from parts of the working class who know nothing about Trump's policies (he doesn't really have any of his own) but know that it upsets the media / journalist class who talk down to them every day. There is a lot of research out there that shows that politicians do not care about the issues of the voters, they enact the policies of the donors. I am sorry to say that Kamala is as bad as any when it comes to lobby (bribe) money. Threat to democracy you say, you don't live in one! I do find it amusing that Trump who was a 40 year Democrat, a friend to the Clintons, encouraged to run by Hillary suddenly became the personification of all evil by the media. Wade's overturn would criminalize abortion in America - and after I quoted the English Book of Common Prayer ("Marriage is a holy estate and therefore not one intended for the satiation of base carnality in the manner of the beasts, which have no understanding..."), but it didn't diminish my regard for her talent. PS: I've written some new songs during your extended absence, and I've been told that my SONG OF HIAWATHA is a little masterpiece, as hypnotic as a peyote ritual, and with a finale worthy of Broadway. (There are two versions on my channel - the one with the live voices is a little longer but features an incredible soprano solo. The singer flawlessly hits a note one full tone higher than the infamously high one in the national anthem.) PPS: The kittens are all grown up? 🙂

    I pray Kamala Harris will be the Democrat nominee. Perhaps then some enterprising reporter - one not in the DNC's pockets - will ask her, the putative Border Czar who never visits the border, how she feels about several dozen illegal aliens baked to death in a van during a hot Texas summer. (Are you aware of that particular incident, Amy?) I attended President Trump's rally in the South Bronx, a few weeks ago, and it was beautiful. I sat in the park next to a large African family speaking a language of which I couldn't understand a word - just the sort of voters the Democrats are terrified will switch parties. (The South Bronx, as you may know, is only 5% white - the rest is two-thirds Hispanic and one-third black.) And as for Biden - he's no longer an issue, but I've heard, straight from the lips of a border-state governor, whom I met during a recent event in Manhattan, and who went to the White House to express his concerns about the border, that he - Biden - is utterly befuddled. He has only a vague grasp of issues and relies almost entirely on his handlers, who flank him protectively in the understandable dread he'll say something unusually stupid, as he did when he invited Russia to attack Ukraine. People are sick of your "woke" party, Amy. They've already voted against it, by not buying tickets to Hollywood's recent rubbish, all of it little more than DNC propaganda. Hopefully the same will hold true during the election, and hopefully social-media platforms like Twitter and UA-cam won't repeat their 2020 performance and inflame anew our dangerous division by censoring stories injurious to anyone but Trump. PS: Notwithstanding our political disagreements, it's great to see you back, Amy! 🙂 I've seen all of your recent videos and thought them remarkable. 💐

      @@waltergold3457 You are welcome to express your views. I think Harris would agree that we need immigration reform and that no one should be dying in such a gruesome manner to get into this country. I am aware that Trump is attractive to many racial minorities. I still think Trump is racist and so are many of his voters. Both things can be true at once. The DNC does not run Hollywood. If you look at research, the data will show that social justice is simply popular. More Americans want diversity and equality than want to vilify or reject it in favor of hierarchy. It is for this reason that those who want hierachy have turned to fascism to get what they want. If they weren't losing, a hostile takeover wouldn't be necessary.

And the vast majority of those in charge of Hollywood, like the vast majority of those in charge of our hideous college campuses, are Democrats - Disney's Bob Iger, for one. And I'm pretty sure most people will sing the praises of "diversity and equality" when asked to do so by pollsters - the devil, of course, being in the details. You should probably just vote for Trump and free yourself of the emotional manipulation, narcissism and abuse of the Left. The Left lied to you for 4 years about the mental well being of Biden and thinks you are too stupid to see otherwise. As you can see by the copious hate from the Left regarding the failure of the assassin to hit his target, you can also see who is pushing the hate. The Left also is certainly not concerned about "wage inequality". They abandoned that ages ago and are now the Party of the elites.

Democrats are also a threat to democracy just look how they are attacking and canceling people that do not share their opinions. 2. All politicians lie but the democrats have lied so obviously and so much ...Inflation, border control, Biden 's mental health, all incredible lies. 3. DEI. After all that talk about DEI nothing you say will convince anyone that Kamala Harris will make a great President. 4. Democrats have their extremists also. I think all our western democracies are in danger because of growing inequalities and environmental issues. Immigration will grow immensely (climate refugees), while our western countries may lose one fifth of their wealth up to 2050. It’s already quite a challenge for our societies but on top of that, part of the upper class is realizing their wealth and power will soon slip through their hands, and they cling to it more than they do to democracy. Politicians like Trump are useful pawns for people even more dangerous themselves. Here in Europe we have their exact counterparts and many voters don’t see them as dangerous even as those fascists proclaim on TV they would bypass the constitution once in power! In France where I live, we are slowly losing our liberties though the wanna-be dictators haven’t got to rule yet ! And it’s been so for many years already. Fascism is one slow cancer, it grows in hiding and that’s why our voters, European and Americans alike, refuse to see the danger as long as they’re not randomly brutalized by cops in the streets and their savings stay safe. To those who say US democracy survived after 2020, I would answer that democracy is like our body. Being still alive after severe illness doesn’t mean being in good shape. And then one other illness can push you over the cliff. Would democracy in the US survive 4 years more with Trump as president ? It might... the same way one veteran of Irak would, with lasting trauma. And the trauma will spread outside your borders, that’s why here in Europe people scrutinize your presidential election almost as much as they do for our own elections. Yet one thing gives me hope regarding America : your constitution seems almost sacred and harder to change or ignore than many others.
