Try up grading the hooks to a owner ST41BC treble 1/0 and a bit bigger split rings. It has worked for me on murry cod in Australia different fish ?

I need some confidence...ive never owned a jon boat super unsure about stability ..im interested in a 12ft if anything it would be for me and just a friend to go out bass fishing in small lakes and rivers...is a 12 ft jon boat good enough??

Sounds like an anti reverse backup pawl.Not sure it could be something else but it’ll be on the anti reverse ratchet gear below the main gear and will be slightly bent and will be dragging on that gear

Yesss! Damn good day on a glide. I noticed you started getting bit when you were reeling faster. If you haven’t seen bucca talk about his technique with the aquatic biologist it’s a must see! Also you have to boat flip when you’re ready! Rod them around till you’re ready if they are still feisty ready to jump and shake they are gonna shake it. Honestly you’re probably a better angler then me. But sometimes you see stuff watching footage! Keep up the good work!! 🎣 🎣

When fishing big swims you need to sweep on the bite keeping the rod tip as low to the surface as possible. Once your fighting them you've got to keep the tip down and make sure they don't jump. Once they're air born they have all the leverage to throw it. I have fought fish where I am down on my knees where the reel and the rod butt are the only things out of the water. Keep'em down and you'll land more fish.

I just bought a house on N.E. cape fear river in willard nc. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated on catching a huge catfish. I am not sure what bait to use for catfishing in this river. I caught 6 bluecat first week i was there(nothing big(2lbs) but aint caught any since then,only bluegill. So far i have only used nightcrawler but am in great need of a bait list. Help please.lol
