Nice video, been missing your videos. It sucks you can't keep no more than 1 a day per person. But at least y'all got some. I was down 2 weeks in Sept caught a lot, but only a couple keepers. Caught some nice specks though
Thanks man! and yeah it’s annoying only being able to keep one per person but i would say the population has definitely improved! And that’s awesome man, we’ve been trying to trout but haven’t caught any yet but shouldn’t be much longer till they’re eating good!
@@jamiehegarty_ yeah I don't know how we lucked up on trout, but I was fishing with finger mullet for flounder and got some but also a few nice trout. But yes I agree it has helped the fishery. Seeing a lot more good quality fish

That octopus would have made awesome ceviche. So would flounder. They're fun to catch and tasty for sure.

@@jamiehegarty_ ceviche is really tasty if you like lemon. If you want to make it look for a recipe that uses a little ginger ale, lots of people in Costa Rica make it that way instead of with just lemon. It's super easy to make and definitely worth trying. Shrimp ceviche is great, snapper works good, some sharks, conch, and some kinds of clams work. It's just seafood cured in lemon instead of cooked. It's texture is like cooked. Try it, most people love it.

@@jamiehegarty_ Doing well. Boat in the shop and it makes me mad as the fall feed is on. Missing the action. Is that salt water tough on you motor and electric system. Use to fish the Chesapeake and that body of water can do a job on a boat with corrosion .
How well has your boat held up to the salt?
Pretty good so far but I’m starting to get more and more problems, the biggest problem yet is my trolling motor has stopped turning and I suspect that it’s due to corrosion in the electrical system. But besides that the only of issues with corrosion has been the locks on the storage doors will get a little stiff but it’s nothing some WD40 won’t fix.
