Our pastors wife was Amish, from Missouri. Most of the members started getting saved thanks to a Baptist witnessing to them. When they all came to the church and heard for the first time, the Word preached from the Bible, they knew this was what they were beginning to understand! They didn’t know what to call themselves, so they with Amish Baptists 😂!

If his children were minors, why did he leave them in a place where they will never be taught right. He had every right to take his children out of there.

Have a question on the scripture that they quoted where is that found? The one where Paul said not to identify as being a part of following a man like calling yourself Amish or calling yourself Mennonite because that identifies either yourself as the follower of or a part of the man who started the Amish organization or Menno Simon who formed the Mennonites. Thank you for sharing your testimony for the love you have on Jesus. It's also the love of Jesus, His love for you. He will heal the pain in your heart, He will carry your burden. Your children they love you, but simple they are brainwashed. But they never forget how you loved them and how you care of them. I will pray for your children. And you and your wife. That she will know, that the Lord Jesus never leave her nor will forsake her. ( it was my mother favorite verse ) And that Adam may know that he is loved, he is loved. I pray that Adam always look for Jesus and that he will know the love of Jesus in his heart. Ask and Jesus freely gives❤ Jesus is our source. His Love healed my heart. After watching part 1 n 2, I feel the amish group seems to be a bunch of jobless godless self-centered fools. It also happens that i have quit church for 7 years now, n I've done well since. I'm not against God/Jesus or his institution the church, but we are now in the last days that this institution is nothing but a relic of what it was commanded to be. I do believe God is preparing to rebuild his Jerusalem temple which will reestablish the truth n stop all this harassment of God's genuine children. Cheers all. God's big redemption n restoration he spoke of through the prophets is finally here.

People are confused in that they think being Amish is a Christian faith, when in fact it is a "way of life." It appears that the largest majority of Amish are not in a saving relationship with Christ. So sad......

When you mentioned the funeral, that is the exact same experience I had at my own grandmother's funeral/memorial. Part of my family is in it (still are), and another part is not anymore. For those of us not in it, it was like we didn't even exist, it felt cold. They had a potluck after, in the same house, but yea, we were all basically ignored. It didn't even feel like a memorial, it felt like just a moment for the worker who spoke to preach the gospel and that was it. After going to another funeral recently, which was held in a christian church, it was the exact opposite. People were talking, hugging, shaking hands. Your religion didn't matter. Part of me wished my grandma had a better memorial, but at the same time, she was so deeply entrenched in that faith that she probably would have loved it. Thank you for sharing your story! I was born into it but never liked it, even as a child, it just felt wrong. I never liked how I would have questions and they could never be answered, or I would get told to ask the workers when they come around. When they did come around, they still never answered my questions. I ended up disliking every religion because that was the only one I knew. Recently, with all the information coming out about the 2x2 sect, it has made me really question my own spirituality, after seeing that other religions are not like that at all.

My goodness......lot of complaints from Amish 46 .......it hurts my heart it could have been handled differently.....my friend from one brother to another......live your life in a way that people ask each other how does he do it? We parted ways his last question to me was how can you tell if a person is born again? Im born amish 63 years .....we openly talk about Jesus as our savior and redeemer. In fact remember the questions the bishop ask you at your baptism? ......Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God ? ....my answer in german ....ya ich glaub es Jeso Christus ish Gottes son. Do you remember the next question?......he lived he died he arose from the dead ...for my sins and your sin. Ya ich glaub and on down the line .......Jesus made a statement he said if you love me you keep all my saying.........so crazy me went searching, started in Matthew before i got through the gospels i had ove 200 saying written down in front of me .then it was time to go to work 😢. # 46 im not douting you in any way shape or form. However im confused ...no confused is not the right word , im curious to know were some of elders and ministers afflicted by demons? I can get a copy of a deliverance prayer. If any one is interested. Remember Jesus started that way he cast out demons and there bodies healed them selves . Im sorry i rambled on like this. I get excited, we are all Gods children he loves us all no matter what Christian life style we choose to live out . Lets be honest amish is a choice , a life style , our religion is a born again people. ......the holy spirit just reminded me ...not all scribes and pharasees have died yet. I was involved due to marriage like you. I knew when my husband professed it was the end. I stayed but the judgment was so opposite what the Bible teaches. I actually developed tricotomania. Its been years but i still feel the draw of it. Crazy

So i am 1 hour 15 min into this show...and he is in trouble for what amounts to thinking for himself and daring to drop a thermostat from 35 degrees to - 10...????? Solidified my personal beliefs that organized religion is about fear for revenue and salvation for a price. The ministers faied to resolve a community issue and provide the freezer....thus creating a problem that needed solving to aviod the furter problems caused by the piss poor managment of the community....sounds precisely like whats wrong with ANY form of government that requires the governedt surrender autonomy and slf determination. Government can become a religion and religions are nothing but forms of government masquerading as guidence to the feet of god.

Its a very unchristian thing to do to drive a memeber out of the community and ruin their lives and livelyhood because they refuse to do unchristian things to their neighbors.....as a person who has seen this and lived it to a certain degree in a different denomination....i feel that most organized religion is a bad thing.

What did they get shunned for? The way this was done makes me think that someone else was not happy with competition.....but i am a cynical person. That being said we have a small community if Amish in the county i reside in up here in northern Maine. Excellent people as far as i can see.

His story is proof it is a cult. I live in Lancaster Pa, and know many who left the Amish but none have stories like this. KNOW THIS all Amish are not lost just like all churches are not perfect. Praying hard for this family every time i think of it.

I am not Amish. And our situations are different. But this has been fascinating for me. My sister is not Amish but has a deep hatred for me and says God told her not to have a relationship with me. Or my young children. I think I would be ok if she just blessed me and moved on but it’s like a shunning. She wants to make me pay for not going along with her and she wants everyone else to not like me either. I struggle with harboring bitterness for her. Maybe God led me to watch these two videos as part of him healing my heart. Thank you for doing this. 🙏

I'm very thankful I'm NOT Amish! It's one thing to be "uninvited" to your church, but to enforce that everyone turn against you too? THAT'S DEFINITELY NOT the way out God and Jesus treated people and it's NOT what he teaches. Alienation is excersized by insecure individuals who feel they've lost total control. You'll be better off, in the long run, for this!

So as I am listening to Dora tell her pleat story, low and behold I notice her dear husband is paying zero attention to her and full attention to his phone. Maybe that is a great reason to NOT have one. One of the downfalls of society is how people can’t pull their face out of a phone long enough to interact with humanity right in front of them.
