Thanks for sharing Sara!! Wow, you were wise to see the broken doctrine, listen to your kids, and make a choice. Thank you for standing up for victims and survivors. I stand with you!! ✌️
If you’re reading this and struggling to move forward from meetings, ask yourself what The Truth really is. Ask God! Pray! Read your Bible! Take off the worker church glasses. Read like your salvation depends on it. I’m 3rd gen b&r and left after 47 years. We had meeting in our home for 20 years till the day we left. I’m here to tell you, you will be loved! There are Christians waiting to pray for you and love you. Jesus will change your life into pure joy! I have everything to gain now! And I am saved by Grace. You’ve got this!
    Eph 2:8-9 ✌️

David, I think you're spot on with why the workers move perpetrators. Which is why the internet is such a threat. Everyone knows.

Great interview that touched on so many things I could identify with - even marrying a divorced person who wasn't raised in the same way. Regarding differing standards, north of Seattle there were many of us who participated in sports and other extra-curricular activities in high school in the mid-to-late 70's. We knew of "friends" in Canada who couldn't "play" on Sundays, but for the most part I wasn't really aware of "rules" that differed to the extent of not being able to participate in sports or sing certain kinds of songs in school. It wasn't until much later that the strict rules I was raised under were quite liberal compared to the rules others lived under.
For me the biggest issue became that they conflated "The Way" and "The Truth" with Jesus himself who said in no uncertain terms the HE was The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No assemblage of man - no matter what they claim - can usurp him of that authority. I would go so far as to call it blasphemy to do so. My Mom wrote a book that caused all kinds of lifelong relationships to be broken due to the man-made, unwritten "rules".

Shouldn’t the body of Christ assemble and fellowship? Shouldn’t the bride prepare for the coming of the bridegroom? Shouldn’t believers share faith to faith? Perhaps you’d consider using your understanding to help in the building rather than tearing down.

    • @davidalink

The bride of Christ is made up of born again believers in THE biblical Christ! Not meetings, a church, or a fellowship.

Do you mean this whole video? Or at a specific point? David’s channel is about a sect that only has ‘nicknames’ because they claim to be the true way of Jesus and therefore it has no ‘name’. (But it’s registered in various names for tax reasons). The nicknames on the Internet are mainly “Two by Two” and “Workers and Friends.”
They use the Bible and mostly preach the ‘gospel’ except that it’s self referential so Jesus’s words about the narrow way are implied to mean going to their church meetings. It’s off of normal Christianity by not teaching the Trinity and it’s basically works based salvation (because it’s implied you have to join this church to be saved).

I seem to remember reading somewhere, think it was in Matthew, that when Jesus was asked by someone in the crowd, ''Master, what must I do do have eternal life'', Jesus replied, ''Keep the commandants,'' simple as that, though being Jewish He might have said, ''keep the Torah'' the law given to Moses at Mt. Sinai. I also remember some advice given to me by my dear old Irish Grandmother many moons ago, Joe she told me, ''If you know it to be wrong do not ever do it and if you know it to be a lie and false do not say it''. The best advice anyone ever gave to me and with God's help it will see me through to the end of the road, anyway not enough hours in the day to get through all the work I got to do and too tired by night fall to get up to any mischief and that helps quite a lot.

The primary reason for the law was to show us that no human can follow it perfectly so that hope is not within any of us. It is through the only one to ever have paid the full price for it - for all who see their need for that payment.

@@tilu3303 I have often pondered if Paul had problems with Leviticus 22 and was not a fan of the opposite sex. We do not have any historical writings from the Ebionites, reputedly the original disciples of Jesus, only of what we can glean concerning them from their detractors and the Ebionites, the poor ones, declared that Saul, or was it Paul, was a Liar and a Deceiver. Why would our Heavenly Father burden us with laws if he knew we would not be able to follow them, what is the purpose of sincere repentance and forgiveness of our transgressions when we fall, as all of us do, daily, why did John baptize in the Jordan, or could it be that God is also a liar and a deceiver.

You are right about it being in somes DNA. Jude 10 But these men revile the things which they do not understand; and the things which they know by instinct, like unreasoning animals, by these things they are [j]destroyed. 11 Woe to them! For they have gone the way of Cain, and for pay [k]they have rushed headlong into the error of Balaam, and perished in the rebellion of Korah. 12 These are the men who are [l]hidden reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you without fear, caring for themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, [m]doubly dead, uprooted; 13 wild waves of the sea, casting up their own [n]shame like foam; wandering stars, for whom the [o]black darkness has been reserved forever. READ JOHN 10. My Sheep Hear My Voice! Matthew 10:16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves." Matthew 12: 34 "“You brood of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak what is good? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart." John 8:44 Pastor Peter Peters book will explain the enemies of God in His book The Wheat and the Tares. His other book "The Greatest Discovery of Our Age is more important and then we truly understand the fuller meaning of the Death burial and resurrection. One must believe, repent and be baptized read to die to sin and commit to God's Kingdom Way. He keeps His promise to His Bride without breaking the Law. Hosea 1, Jeremiah 9, Romans 9, and Galatians 3. Stay away from these cults that deny Christ and are in to pedophilia. Yuck! Demonic! Trust in Acts 2:38. God Bless His!

Any religion is bondage some more apparent and obvious than others . Most of what is called Christianity these days is religion. The religion of ultra grace or the religion of good and bad is bondage. Religion focuses on the outside, God works from the inside. God's Spirit and His word with a willing vessel forms into His Godly child.

They deny the Deity of Christ and yet they Baptized? Hello! What Hypocrisy! What was there Baptism for? Crazy! Go and Baptize in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins as Acts 2:38 says when ones heart is pricked. Romans 7:1-6 "Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter." Romans 8 too.
