    I just finished installing mine. So far I love it. There *is* a TOUCH more "lag" but it's hardly noticable. I can't wait to turn up the boost up with it. It'll lower drive pressures quite a bit

      did you add this to your '03? how do you like it? do you have any added fuel / larger injectors?

    • @anewzack78
      @anewzack78 6 років тому +1

      Zach Berninger I did ! It's basically ready for bigger injectors now. It's an auto so spool isn't an issue. Boost is more linear now, cruising boost is only 6 psi now. The exhaust note is totally changed. I love hearing the turbine sound. Even at idle! I have the $280 4" exhaust kit from summit WITH a muffler. The turbine mod cost me $260 which included the new turbo studs

      thank you for the info. it is nice to hear from someone that has an 03-04 truck and stock injectors. did you add the 76x67 to your he341 or did you install an he351? what is your max boost psi? did the larger wheel help or hurt your mpg's? i have stock fueling, but run a smarty s06 and worry about having enough fuel to turn that big wheel. With the he341 on flat ground, i run 4psi @ 475* doing 65mpg at 1900 rpms. any insights you can give are greatly appreciated.

      Zach Berninger I installed a 351 and just capped off the wastegate hose ha ...but apparently the wastegate actuator needs adjusted because my bullydog still reads 28 psi but I haven't felt too compelled to adjust it yet. I'd like to see 35, but I think I need a real boost gauge and not rely totally on the BD. It could be a lot higher and I wouldn't know

      Zach Berninger I don't have an egt gauge but so far I've ran 1 full tank through it and I've went down 3mpg ...but because the turbo sounds so good damn cool now I've been pretty foot heavy lmao. I've got a single cab long bed 2wd btw if it makes a difference

      @@DanielPats1228 I know that's what it was for initially. But it is part of their upgrade for the he351ve which also has the larger compressor wheel on it. I just didn't want to pay for the extra Machining of the compressor housing, cover plate new compressor wheel.

    For the compressor housing n wheel do you need a different bearing housing or is it bolt on like the turbine housing

    • @DanielPats1228
      @DanielPats1228  5 років тому

      8520653 you have to call turbo lab or email them. Yes the bearing hosing will have to be machined for whichever compressor wheel you choose. Also the compressor cover has to be machined as well

    Do you have any videos of your tater turbo?

  • @lordofwar1234

    So by adding that upgraded housing from Turbo lab did you notice any better or any more horsepower or Torque and any lower egts

    • @DanielPats1228
      @DanielPats1228  6 років тому +2

      If it was a HP or torque gain I wouldn’t say I noticed it. I was just hoping for lower egts which I believe it has helped with. Cruising 73 MPH , 43° outside , 2200-2300 RPM , 6-18 PSI boost (6 on flat ground & 18 on the hills ) I was seeing 615-700° EGTs. It did help in that area, I think it’s helped with MPGs a bit too.

    How do you like it, pro and cons before and after 67mm turbine. I have a s363, I’ve had it for a 3 years. I don’t like it. I want to go back to stock spool, want to know how this mod on the stock frame is working. I will go compounds with a 469sxe. Really want to know if the stock charger modded would be best performance.

    • @DanielPats1228
      @DanielPats1228  5 років тому

      Fernando Mata I now have a 62-65 tater built turbo. When I did have that setup my egts were always 650 or 600 on freeway. 70 mph. 35” tires. 6 speed around 2100 RPM.
      I did the mod myself when I did do it. If you’re mechanically inclined you can do it
