alright i followed all step but for some reason after installing my cam caps and double checking my clearances all the valves were too tight. i only changed 5 shims on the exhaust side that were out of spec. did i over tighten the caps or something? i used a torque wrench and had it set properly. i have a 08 r6. confused how i didn't even touch the intake shims but they're all tight now. the timing is all good.

Starting to think someone worked on my bike before i had it and didnt torque caps correctly. I basically just adjusted the values based on the new tight readings i was getting and the bike is back together running great now.

Hey! I jumped the Fuel pump at the fuse box like you showed and it works. Except now when I turn my headlights on it shuts the fuel pump off....? Any ideas?

Starter link is dead. Can you recommend a replacement starter that uses better glue that the crap Yamaha uses? I don't wanna replace it again with something that will fail in a few years.

I did some research and ordered a new starter motor from Rick's Motorsports Electronics. I cannot be certain, but I do no expect the new one to fail in a few years.

I replaced mine but I’m getting a whine and the small gear cover is leaking. I’ve read it’s because I used aftermarket gasket. Apparently oem gaskets are used as a spacer to get the stator gears lined up right.
My k11 gsxr 600 is sputtering at full throttle and then stalls out and shuts off at a stop. Does this sound Iike a fuel pump issue or clogged filter?

@@SUPSGARAGE crazy thing is the only code I got was c46. Exhaust servo. Bike runs if I keep throttle at about a quarter and speeds at 50mph or less. However, the bike still shuts off at a stop. Unfortunately I don’t have a good bike shop where I live so I’m trying to troubleshoot based off UA-cam videos.

thanks for the support brother! n yes I use the stock dip stick but had to cut it because now it was too long what should fit is a dip stick from an LS3 but my headers would not allow me to use that one so I cut and mark the oil levels from the LS3 dip stick to my stock one hope that make sense
Dude I was so tripped out when i first saw this vid cause that mt07 literally looks EXACTLY like mine. Same red/black plastics, same windscreen, levers, fork sliders, everything.

Good vid, I haven’t bought a gixxer yet but enjoy the vid in case I need to do this fix Can a guy use brake clean to clean the parts? Do all gixxers eventually have rectifier/stator issues?
@nombr Yes u can and it will last longer if you just relocate the rectifier like I did on this video brother
C- Your sequences are off. (Top Yoke nut first and a few axle steps were off, like free side of axle after securing the nut or lock side. You neglected to set alignment of calipers to rotors.

I just changed my girls smart car oil had the same bigger style filter like you had on it, I pull out that little filter and I thought I got the wrong part at first but it worked just fine
why cant you just show.... EVERYTHING.... instead of wordy2x instructions... defeats the purpose of youtube.
