Manual for the 453 non-turbo says 3.5L on change with filter. It took 4L for it to be just above the low mark for me and I figured I may not have been on perfectly level ground. So I stopped at 4L and heard others usually ended up with 4-4.5L. After letting it sit for 30 mins it was at the full mark. Wanna add too to make sure that the filter housing screws on right. Mine screwed on tight, had no leak, but I noticed it was not flush with the engine. Removed it, repopped the filter element into the hole, and it screwed on flush (you can tell cause it will start to make plastic creaking noises as you overtighten it). Must've gotten stuck on the o-ring or something prior.
Great video. Quick question. Has your smart been reliable? I am thinking of buying one just like yours with low miles and great maintenance history. Just want to know from someone who owns one. Thank you.

Very! Just like any car, you just got to keep up with the maintenance. But the gas is amazing!
@@SUPSGARAGE Thank you!
What tool and attachments did you use for the removal of the filter? Thanks
you mean the socket size? I used a 27mm socket to remove the filter.
