I wanted to Say a big thank you this was extremely helpful and it gave me the confidence to due this myself. Great tip with the reservoir tank!👏🏽👏🏽
Im glad it helped you brother 😁👍!
@@SUPSGARAGE also shared your video on camaro forum so this can help other people in need!
@@franciscogonzalez-oy2le O wow lol. Thanks alot for doing that. Hope it helps many more!
Thank you 🙏 this video was very helpful
Great video. It really helped me to get them changed even with the service manual info. It sure is a SOB to get the last passenger side plug out.
I agree with you on that brother lol Glad the video helped you 👍
I’ve been on it for a while bro this shit sucks 🥲😂
Nice video. I might just give it a try!
thank you and go for it! that's what these videos are for 😁👍
Thanks for the tip about squeezing the angled needle nose pliers between the boot and metal to pull out the plug. I was trying to pull out my wires today by hand and finally gave up. I'll have to go and try that.
It should do the trick brother, just be patient with it 🙂
@@SUPSGARAGE yep, I was finally able to get them out using this trick. Even then, it took all the strength I had to pull them up, and sometime a crow bar between the pliers and the engine block. I actually destroyed one cable because the internal electrical connector was stuck to the plug so well that it just torn through the end cap. The rubber end cap came out, but the metal connector was still on the plug.
Anyways, thanks again for the tip!
@Brian Rosenlof Glad it helped! but put some dielectric lube for this won't happen to you next time brother!
Thanks a lot! I'm just a about to tackle this. Mine has 115k miles on it!
Glad it helps you brother!
What's the cylinder order? Like is it all odd numbers on the driver's side and all even on the passenger side? I have to change #3 but don't know which one it is
Driver side is odd and evens are on the passenger side so 3 should be second one from the drivers side starting from the front of the engine brother
Is it possible to remove the rubber boot first and then take out the aluminum cover or it has to come out all together in one?
I'm pretty sure you can, I was just afraid of ripping the boot.
@@SUPSGARAGE I just did it, took me over an hour it was a bitch to get to those rear plugs.. got oem ACdelco iridium plugs for $85 ... I had went to a Chevrolet dealer and they quoted me "$600" for the plugs and labor, I laughed and walked out
@@CamaroWarrior 🤣 well that's exactly why I do these videos brother to help yall out and save your pockets glad to know you did it yourself 😁👍
@@SUPSGARAGE and thanks for the video bro👍🏼
When do you recommend replacing spark plugs on 6thgen camaro
manuel says around 95k but honestly if it were me, I would do it every 60k or 5 years which ever comes first
@@SUPSGARAGE alright thanks bro🤝
40-50k miles
Hey bro what’s the torque specs on the spark plugs
Should be 11ft lbs brother
The service manual says 15 ft lbs
Do you have a link to the part online?
Here you go brother
Check out this page from Summit Racing www.summitracing.com/parts/ado-41-114
Do they have to be torqued?
I don't bother cuz I've done this many times brother but I would say it's best to if it's ur first time and you wanna play it safe
what about removing and installing the spark plug wires?
haven't had the need to do that one yet lol but when I do I'll make a video of it as well
@@SUPSGARAGE I need to have spark plug wires installed
Do you use anti seize on the plugs?
I only use it if the sparkplugs I'm installing do not have a washer if it has a washer then no hope this helps you!
@@SUPSGARAGE yes thanks
Roughly how long does it take to do
2 hours tops I would say bother
Tommy Egan if he was a mechanic.
Why does nobody state which cylinder is which? I gotta make a video of my own. I’m only trying to change cylinder #7
Once 1 goes out it’s best to do all of them.
7 is driver side rear. You can grab a diagram off google!
jesus christ bro... your naming convention for chapters scared the hell out of me. I saw "Radiator Removal" and my heart sank 🤣🤣
🤣!!!
I can’t get the boot off
you tried using pliers on the metal part like I did at 1:18 brother?
@@SUPSGARAGE I eventually got them off. Had to use two hands to do it. I’m on my third one rn. Thanks for the video. Appreciate it
@jinso6100 no problem brother just take ur time 🙂👍
Mechanic wants 1300$ to charge me for this...ill do it myself thanks
I say try it brother it's not as hard as it looks 😊👍
Worst video ever I was trying to see how the plugs came out you completely skipped it
You should use a lil anti seize on those threads.
There no requirement to use it in the service manual
