Why Cars Will ALWAYS be BORING
Переглядів 2,9 тис.21 день тому
We are witnessing cars going from functional pieces of art to efficient bubbles of transportation designed purely for efficiency. Inspiration and character is leaving every car year after year. What price are we willing to pay for cars to no longer inspire us? The greats, like Scotty Kilmer have warned us about this very topic... What is going on with the automotive industry? What is causing this? This video is just one of many installments to a much needed series that nobody seems to be making or even addressing. haven't finished watching, but i like how you are willing to just say it how it is, so much that gets fed to us is sugarcoated. as a leader and small business founder i think it is important to be able to have someone tell me that i may be crazy or have a dumb idea. many of us need someone like you to just give it to us straight. Having a chronic health condition (HLHS if you have ever heard), it is important to always focus on myself and bettering myself. A truly inspirational video you made right there. It honestly takes a lot of effort and metal struggle to endure that kind of school, and I sincerely thank you for your service to a nation as great as America. I’m 20 years old, and just now going to Collage. My Mom was ill whilst I was growing up. My Father was always working, which meant I had to stay home and help her, which inevitably meant I never got my grades. It’s better than never now to start what I never finished. I don’t want to just give up and work a base job. I want that life of being able to support my family, and have that nice car sitting in a heated garage, however that don’t say I won’t ever be grateful for having a roof over my head and a car to get me to where I need to be. I know that I, and most importantly all of us can do whatever we put our minds too. Sometimes I lose momentum because I sometimes forget what it is that I’m chasing, but I always remember what I’m doing it for. Absolutely love your videos about cars too, as I’m definitely a proper car enthusiast lol. Sending support from the United Kingdom.

    When I first learned to drive in the early 90s and had a 1973 VW Superbeetle, my father gave me one piece of advice: “don’t hang 3 lbs of sh*t on your ignition”. To this day I keep my ignition key on a separate detachable key ring. Never had a problem with unintended engine shut down on the greater than dozen foreign vehicles I’ve owned nor on my current first domestic vehicle, a 2017 Chevy Colorado. Corporations can’t always be expected to protect customers from their own stupidity.

    I honestly dont understand what people see in the F150 . It has run the same cookie cutter look since 2004 . From the side profile its the same as the gen before and the gen before that one and so on. 20 years of the same look is kinda getting overdone

    • @Mrjangles38
      @Mrjangles38 День тому

      @A-BombEnergy maybe 🤔 but I don't 100 percent see that as a reason but its possible . Take a new subdivision of houses for example , every single one is the same but different colors , maybe one will have some cedar trim every 3rd house but all are the same . name of the game " low costs and most profit" they change the look of the truck just enough to make the consumer believe they are getting a brand new truck worth their $70 - $147k asking price these days . At those prices I'd expect something different not a 2004 with a different trim level

Now now, don't get mad at me, but at first I thought it was going to be some sort of drug that would make my dopamine levels go up and then down so I would have to drink more, and more of it. But I tend to overthink things, and realized it was just good for you. But good jod on making an actually good product. I salute you. Yes, I did make the video about the drivers ED talk. You altruistic SOB! 🤣😂🤣 There is an unfortunate necessity in life everyone needs to experience in order to grow and find wisdom. Suffer and not just a little suffering but long soul crushing suffering that feels like you are on fire. "Suffering is to life what the fire is to the forge" V. Fowler. It will either turn a man to steel or it will burn him to ash. Be respectful not kind, people mistakenly take kindness for weakness but those who endure the fire and become steel who retain that part of them. That's got to be one of the strongest SOB's on planet earth. Respect however when shown to others shows others the respect one has for self and that shows that man is not to be trifled with. Sure, I will always lead with the olive branch in one hand extended in peace. But I will also let them see the terrible war I carry in my other hand. Because no one will listen to a man speak of peace unless they knw he will back it up with war. You're a good man Brandon, your parents did right by you and you continued to do yourself right as well. I had nothing growing up but my word and over time I turned my word into gold. When other people tell someone that "If that's what he said he did then you best belive that's what he did" even by people who don't particularly like you. That's when all the sacrifice, blood spilled and drawn pays off. What I value most are things intangible things other people place no value in because those people are fake, shallow, and driven by fear and greed. I don't even have to say what those things are because you already had them pop into your head before finishing this sentence, LOL!

    End of 2024 would be stressful year i have ever, in 10 hard working years slowly my health has taken wrong turn, long hours, eating crap, drink to much soft drink lead me to high blood pressure. Workplace has given me stress because we not a team anymore, problems aren't been listened to, so i made decision to quit. Fix my health, i have job but it's interstate 7 hrs away, flexible hrs, similar pay, but wife staying with her family while i find my feet. My advice is work hard, but don't give up on family events, do health checks once year, listen n learn, be open minded n yes read whether its hobby or work related. Dont be afraid of change, as we age our body changes to whether you like it or not, find your happiness in work load.

    One car i owned I will never forget, my 2000 Buick Century Custom. The car only had a 175HP V6 in a full sized 3200LB car, but the seats were like a couch, the steering was like butter, the car road super comfortable and seemed to have a personality to it. I felt like I could go anywhere in that car, and I could go there comfortably, and I felt like i had a relationship with that car. I could do all the repairs on that vehicle myself, the 3100SFI was a simple pushrod V6, it got over 30MPG as a full sized car in the early 2000s, and I felt safe in it. I miss that car, if someone made another car just like it I would buy it in a heart beat.

    I just sold my 2017 6spd challenger and got a 1980 4spd, C3 corvette. The C3 breaks necks. The challenger did not. And the challenger didn’t feel special when I was driving it. It was a challenger on the outside, but it felt like any other car when I was driving it. Another issue is parts, good luck finding parts for cars made after 2020. I always forget that your sub count is below a million. I look forward to seeing you in like 6 months later with like 200k subs.

    The Big 3 are far too prideful to take a page out of how to make a good sedan from the Japanese and Koreans. The Big 3 have always had the mentality of mass production, slapped together cars for max profit instead of actual forethought into their vehicles. And people wonder why Toyota and Honda still have their Corolla/Camry and Civic/Accord respectively. It’s not that hard.

    Great video and great points. One thing you said which is I think the main point of what is wrong of the automotive industry today is that Tesla is not a car company, they are a tech company. Why is that relevant? Because it seems that all auto manufacturers want to be tech companies when they really are not. Ever since car companies started introducing so much technology into a car is what ruined it. One thing I absolutely despise about modern cars is the replacement of tradition round dials with digital dashboards. I want to drive a car and the round dials were easy to read and did not feel like a huge distraction like the new digital dashboards are. I can see them giving eye strain as well to people who need to drive long distances. Other problems with modern cars are the auto-stop system which I have not heard a single person say they enjoy, fake engine noises, "autonomous" driving, disappearance of buttons and dials to activate other car features like the windows, AC, heated seats, radio, etc, and the fact the auto manufacturers can track and view your driving data. I think for the auto industry to get back on its feet, all these technological features need to be stripped completely. That would bring the price down and reduce the reliance on semi-conductors which have been a huge contributor to the rise in car prices. Removing the technology will also once again give people the right to fix their own vehicles since they do not need to have access to any of the software to fix their vehicle. Great video once again, keep on the great work!

  • @Eternal-Farewell
    @Eternal-Farewell 15 днів тому

    You should also make a video on the Trucking industry as well. Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Mack, and Volvo have also ruined their trucks by adding in so much technology. Trucks do not need all this silicon valley technology inside of them. Many people talk about Right To Repair only being about Farm tractors but heavy duty trucks are suffering a similar problem where the manufacturers are not letting owners fix their own trucks.

Things that would offer no advantage if exclusive: Radios HVAC controls gear shifters interior door handles inside rear view mirrors indicator and wiper stalks window regulator buttons Things that need to be exclusive, because customers of higher-end cars actually benefit from them: paint colors multiple leather colors and types, wood grains/aluminum decor bigger brake packages, e.g. 6-piston Brembo real exhaust tips magneride There was a study years ago that found out how the average customer does not even notice whether a button or door handle is shared between cheaper and more expensive models, but it causes significant costs for the manufacturers if they have to make different handles for each car. And honestly it's not worth it, as long as the quality of the part is appropriate for the most expensive model.
