Right? It’s super bizarre. Like I’ve always been a Jeep guy but I totally recognize their faults and have zero issue calling it out. It’s almost like a form of masochism, they might as well say “I’ll pay you whatever for whatever you make.” Nahhhh lol not my style. Good to see you again brother. -Brandon 🫡
@@A-BombEnergy Indeed. It's childish, and confuses me that any rational adult would think that these companies have anything but their best interests in mind. They might want to help you, but only if it helps them. It's "just business". I've got a friend who is a corporate lawyer for a firm that represents some extremely large clients. It's all numbers on a spreadsheet to them. There is rarely a "do the right thing because it's the right thing to do" moment. The few that happen are hidden under so many NDAs you'll never know. BTW--- My Jeep GC has been in the shop since July. Stellantis can't get the computer parts needed to fix it. The dealer's corporate owner stepped up and gave me a loaner after I got less cordial in my reviews and BBB complaints. My original service advisers office is cleaned out so he might not work there anymore. The one they loaned me has a HEMI. In these days of small displacement turbo engines, it's a real moment of joy to drive a V8.
The Car Care Nut explained perfectly that there are too many gimmicks in new Toyotas and keeping them neglected with the older models proved how bad people are with maintenance for these cars let alone other brands
Yeah I watched that video after making the Toyota videos and he is right to a certain extent. I don’t think I agree with him on some of the maintenance stuff but he honestly is more of an expert than I am so he probably is right. My only point of contention with it is that I am often leery of people who get sponsor cars and media cars from companies. Not saying he is adjusting his opinion because he gets that but it often makes me wonder. Overall, he is a solid guy and I very much enjoy his content, especially his long format talks. I do think the segment that is “demanding” more tech in vehicles is much lower than we think. People in general want a basic car that is nice and gets them from point a to b. They don’t want or need adaptive cruise in a base model…idk just a thought… Would love to know your thoughts on this brother. -Brandon 🫡
@@A-BombEnergy Well people are not going back to the basic functions of a car anymore, if anything look at the new Mitsubishi Mirage. That right there is the perfect example of a basic car and also the Kia Rio
@tougeruzbay The Toyota mechanic seems like a nice guy BUT remember he is running a business focusing on Toyota repairs and maintenance. It would be bad for hes future business to say "Yes Toyota quality has gone down, don't buy them" instead he does hes best to to avoid saying the truth as it really is = Toyota quality has gone down and that is a fact like it or not.
I would have to agree. Once they get past the two years of free maintenance most people really start pushing back their Oil Change intervals up to including beyond 10,000 miles. The tolerances of modern engines are not built to handle muck being forced through them. let’s not even get into the amount of oil burn off since now we have 0/18 and 0/6 weight oils now.
Toyota is capable of selling NA engines that are actually good, it’s not to hard because of “emissions” while emissions are getting stricter, Nissans frontier literally has a NA v6 which is sold in America. There is no reason they can’t do it for the Tacoma
Gasoline Turbo engines and their high output / L will fail earlier than comparable Gasoline NA engines, its just a fact. People think the extra mechanical and thermal stress disappears because of magical unicorn bearings, reality illudes them
The whole "emissions" thing is a scam, if they actually cared, tax schemes would depend purely on weight, as more mass used on production = more emissions and more fuel needed to move the car (which means even more emissions!), with just base model single cabs, kei trucks and vans getting any tax break because work vehicles.
Brother! Such a solid point on the Frontiers. Even with the Hemis in Ram. I just don’t buy the whole excuse making Toyota apologists are making. Nobody is saying that the older Toyotas are bad. It’s these new models that are crushing the brand. Who do think might surpass Toyota? Or has someone already done that…-Brandon 🫡
@@A-BombEnergy if I were to buy a new mid size truck I’d definitely go with the frontier just because of the engine, the Toyotas just aren’t really worth it anymore with the turbo engine. Most other mid sized trucks have already switched to turbos to so Nissans really one of the only options at this point if you want something reliable
That is a massive difference and makes me wonder if they will change their pricing strategy anytime soon! 🤔 especially with the chance of Chinese cars coming in…you’d think they would try to compete…maybe I’m wrong? -Brandon 😁
Brother that’s totally right. I used to be that way with certain brands in my younger days. Some I still am too like 1st phorm but they are an exception. But my guard is always up. You are a wise man my friend. -Brandon 🫡
Haha brother you ain’t wrong at all! It’s funny because I’m a Jeep and BMW guy but when people throw some hate at the brand, I’m usually like “yeah bro, you are actually right” 🤣 this infallibility complex is off the chain sometimes 🤣 -Brandon 🫡
Bro if you only saw the comments I got haha, that video was EASILY my most disliked video. Which the dislike to like ratio is still incredible but it just goes to show the fan boys flew in mass haha 🤣. Good to see you my friend. -Brandon
And that’s fine, I see people stranded on road with GM cars, visiting mechanic shops with BMWs and other brands. At least I visit less, and if I made a mistake, it’s me paying it. I will be upgrading soon. Trust me I am loving the reliability. 😊.
@@A-BombEnergyBrandon, it’s not fan boy. Accept the truth that Toyota has been leading for many years and still doing. The statistics shows a different picture from what you are saying. No one is gonna accept misinformation which you are doing. If you say Toyota is bad now, tell me a brand that’s better than Toyota in reliability from the consumer reports according to statistics. Are you gonna tell me it’s Land Rover, or GM Cars, BMWs or Mercedes. Honestly be honest and tell me in last ten years, who has had most recalls. The problem is not being fan boy but misleading. Your video painted Toyota as a bad product maker and for us who live in the world where many brands exist it’s a lie.
You see tons of GM vehicles on the side of the road? Maybe it’s because they out number just about every automaker in the US. Just ignore the decades of Diesels they’ve made too you’re at it
Robs neighbor! Thanks my friend, I appreciate you so much. You’ve literally been here since the beginning. I am so glad you have stuck around and I hope to always keep you around. Always a pleasure my friend. -Brandon 🫡
Whatever it is, it isn't enough for people. I think one of the biggest problems is that people expect too much out of economy cars. And then CAFE standards put pressure, and then the company itself trying to cut corners, its insane how one of my most favorite companies is declining, especially in recent years. The 2025+ generations of cars have been rather disappointing, we can only hope they recover in the later years.
Every company is suffering the pressure of EPA regulations and forcing them to make EVs. However since Covid a lot has gone wrong. Some companies are doing far much worse. Plus people don’t know what they want. Most these days wouldn’t want reliable but want Toyota to be like Germany cars.
Totally agree here brother. I do feel for people that buy economy cars because they aren’t really economy cars anymore. They seem to be masquerading as that but in reality they are higher echelon models. Idk how people that are paying even slightly attention haven’t noticed the decline of Toyota. It’s real and if they keep making excuses for them, the quality will continue to decline because they know people will always buy. I’m a merit kind of guy. If I was buying a Toyota for longevity, I’d buy an older one for sure. Good to see you again to brother. -Brandon 🫡
glad you pointed out the fact about the GR corolla situation and how 2 of them had problems with one being salvage. it seems like people just latched onto that and seemingly ignored the tacoma debacle.
Yeah, dude, it's kind of wild... I posted a TikTok a while ago, talking about Toyota quality going downhill. And because I didn't mention the Toyota Corolla GR situation people started jumping down my throat lol. It's literally happened to two of them.... I think the Tacoma and tundra situation warrants way more attention than two cars... Just my opinion though. Glad you were on the same page, though brother. -Brandon
Hemi got replaced by the Hurricane L6 Twin turbo btw. Toyotas quality has for sure gone down hill for the past decade for sure. They feel like cheap tin cans really cheap interiors and low build quality. I have grown up with Toyota and they just are not made well anymore. I work in the repair industry and so yeah I am biased as I see a lot of broken cars. Everyone is NOT making a good product right now. What makes it so bad for Toyota is that THEY where the gold standard of the Auto Industry.. they where how you built a good car. Now.. now they are on par with everyone else. Sure maybe slightly better but not what they where..In the end.. they will be like everyone else building a high priced poorly made product.. seems that all we get now. BTW people this is why people talk about it because Toyota was the bar they where how you built a good car... seeing them do shit like the big 3 does is jarring..
I agree with this comment actually, if you are talking about material wise, interior and exterior. That’s very true, I wish the video was able to single out categories where Toyota has decline like you did. But instead painted the whole brand trash. However, Toyota makes Lexus and crown as sub brands for quality. I drive a high quality Toyota but these new ones except their sub brands I mentioned, materials are bad. Though, they are still reliable. Lexus and Toyota crown are much better. This is because of how business works these days. The inflation and cost of production went up. If you want a cheaper car compared to the market you will definitely get cheap materials. Yes in those high price trucks with plastic I understand. But take away that and tell me how long it will last. At least they have durable plastic than a car I rented recently, it was a Toyota.
Ahhh I don’t think it got replaced, they’ve added to the line up but it’s not replaced brother. Do you know anything about that engine? I’m curious on the performance of it and if it’s actually going to be decent…I’ll have to research it more. You are totally right though about everyone not making quality anymore…everyone knows I love German cars but the interior of a Mercedes…man super cheap for some reason. BMW though and even certain Audis, not bad actually. Yeah people should be upset about Toyota not being the Gold Standard anymore. Idk why certain people get so upset when people point it out. Elitism is something I’ll never get on board with. That’s how cars slowly but surely lose quality…boiling the frog some might say. Thanks for commenting brother, it’s very appreciated. Since you work in repair, what are your thoughts on German cars? Especially the new ones? -Brandon 🫡
@@A-BombEnergy Stellantis has cut the 5.7 by 2025 They will still offer the larger one in the heavy duty trucks (my source is my best friend works at Dodge he has to do all the training on the new stuff) I don't personally deal with much Euro Stuff. The small amount I have VW is a much better repair experience then anything from BMW or MERC (Bmw also builts mini) VWs drive and feel pretty well made but christ everything leaks...most euro trash leaks. The biggest killer for me is the parts here in the US. some stuff there is no real support on unless you deal directly with the manufacture.
Hey Texasscooter, thanks for letting know about this. Its always good to have an inside source, my only sources are sales guys and a few engineers. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on German cars, I own two and I hope they continue to serve me well but I understand what I am getting in to lol. The biggest problem, IMO, is that vehicles are being rushed into production too quickly. Let engineering do their jobs! This is nothing new, IH did this back in the 1950's with the TD24 dozer. Never let the sales team run the show. Great video as usual!
Mark! Good to see you brother man. Yeah I have had engineers hit me up on here and other social platforms and they all tell me the same thing you just said. Some tell me even more horror stories that really makes it impossible for them to do their job. Mark, I just want to say thanks for being such an awesome supporter. You’ve been with this channel from the start and I want you to know I haven’t forgotten and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. -Brandon 🫡
My whole family were Toyota fans. Not anymore, their cars are assembled in a cheap way and I hate the fact that they can now collect your driving data without your consent
That’s unfortunate to hear brother, Toyota is missing out on your business. What was the moment for you that made you change? Yeah I’m not a fan of driving data collection either…like what’s the point of that? Are they profiting from it or is there some other use for it, like to make the product better and it stays with them? What brand are you guys going to now? -Brandon 🫡

Oh brother you are spot on here. There is a lot of blame being put on the certain event in 2019. Do you think this is still a valid excuse or even an excuse at all? Loads of auto industry workers have hit me up and stated that they are letting parts slide out of the QC process that would have never have made it in 2018. Brother, I’ve made other videos released to this topic. American Autos Failures is probably my most popular series. I’d love to hear your opinion on them my friend. I look forward to hearing from you brother. -Brandon 🫡
I used to be one of those people who was brand loyal. When I was young, every car except 1 back in the day was a GM product then I brought my wife a 2009 Toyota Camry back in 2011 and boy did I see the light! We never had any problems with the anything on it and when we had to take it to the dealer because of recalls we were never turned away or told the recalls had expired. Fast forward 10 years, we were looking for a SUV, we test drove 2 Suburbans, a Tahoe, and a Navigator then we drove a 2012 Nissan Armada and fell in love with it and although the Suburban and Navigator had more hp, the interior of the Armada looked way better and had more features for the price. We had the Camry for 10 years then gave it to her daughter and we've now had the Armada for almost 4 and never had any problems with either car. I'm saying all this because Nissan and Toyota had cars that were built like rocks and would really make you change your mind after being brand loyal to one one company for years....and then 2015 happened for Nissan and 2023 happen for Toyota
Brother, this sounds like you fell in love with the golden years of Toyota and Nissan. So many did and those were the years that really helped build Toyota to this indestructible brand and almost mythical level of reliability. I too used to be crazy brand loyal and that has almost effectively stopped at this point. I appreciate models now and not the entire brand at this point. I don’t think automakers understand that if they make 1 great model and 1 bad model, people aren’t going to differentiate between the models. It’s now become a brand issues and idk if I disagree with that honestly. Every product should be amazing and purpose built. What do you think about that brother? -Brandon 🫡
0:27 Toyota hasn’t declined. Still the most reliable car brand and its luxury brand Lexus. It’s still the one that sells the most cars. It’s what it is. Yes the automotive industry is suffering everywhere due to regulations. And others are even doing worse than Toyota. This will get better, because Toyota has proved to be Toyota even in Middle East.
Hey Brandon, you are creating some great content with these videos. I can't understand the people who seem to think any automaker is infallible. If we want them to be successful, we have to be willing to call out their faults as you are doing. I would also be interested in your thoughts on Kia/Hyundai.
Hey brother, it’s my pleasure to create this content for you guys. I also don’t under the people who think Toyota can never make mistakes. Especially the apologists…that’s just crazy to me. I have a TON of thoughts on Hyundai and Kia…I’m going to make a video on them but long story short, I would be surprised if they surpass Toyota in reliability at this point. They also make more non-boring cars…imo. Thanks for commenting brother, it’s always a pleasure to speak to you. -Brandon 🫡
Toyota prices on what the market will pay for a product, not what it costs to produce it. They look at the market, set the price then see if they can make it profitably at that market price. That's very different than most companies. Also bear in mind that the taco is all new now with a lot of development cost. That cost and improvement has to be paid for somewhere. I had both the last of the v6 taco and the first of the turbo taco. The new truck with the turbo 4 and new transmission is 10x better than the "old" one. Its too big though - Toyota needs a Maverick competitor that is more practical for most people, most of the time.
Hey brother thanks for sharing this information here and that does make a ton of sense. I just struggle to see how they can still ask such a large price for it…idk like I can see a small increase because of what you said but it just seems odd. And yeah, if Toyota could make a small truck like the maverick…broooo I’d be down to at least try it out. Thanks for commenting too brother, I appreciate it. -Brandon 🫡
Toyota own strategies of outsourcing their tech for money is an acknowledgement they know their market share will drop and need alternate sources of revenue. More broadly, absolutely regulations are driving increase car prices and less reliability. However, toyota unlike smaller brands has leaned into this heavily and thus they bear more responsibility for the lack of reliability than most imo.
Gabriel, do you think Toyota should be outsourcing their tech? Seems like that’s a bad idea, considering they try to do everything in house or at least own the companies that do work for them. Totally agree here that Toyota is more responsible than others. For some reason they are capitulating to the popular thing, when in general, they refuse to do that and they always favored reliability and longevity over the popular thing. I think this is why the American Autos Failure series I made did so well. What did you think of that series brother? Thanks for commenting Gabriel, I hope to hear from you soon. -Brandon 🫡
I will never understand why there's always controversy. Companies can change, quality of build and design runs in cycles. Sometimes it's good, then after a while it goes to crap.
Right? It’s kind of odd? Like I used to be a diehard Jeep guy but the company and product has changed beyond what I’m willing to accept. Especially the customer experience and treatment of loyalists. I hope that this cycle Toyota is in turns a new page and they return back to their roots. There is a reason that “returning to roots” exists. I’d say after this video/controversy, the 2 ford films I made are right behind this one. The amount of controversy I got from those was insanity lol. Should I even be surprised? 🤣 Thanks for commenting brother, super appreciated 😁 -Brandon
As others have mentioned, loyalty to a corporation makes no sense. However, to be fair to the Toyota fanboys, the quality has NOT gone down, its just getting more exposure. The quality has always been just average, in the past engines blew up/excessive oil consumption, rotting frames, suspensions and many other problems existed. The fanboys just pretended these problems never happened.
Craig, you bring up a SOLID point there about the quality always being a thing with them. Warren Brown mentioned the same thing and other industry experts have as well. I’m just shocked that more people haven’t discussed it. Idk why people think they are indestructible? Like maybe their 70s series and a few other models are close to something like that but Jeep has done that (4.0L) and so has ford (coyote engine or even the I6). So here is the big question Craig, should people keep bringing to light the failures of Toyota? -Brandon 🫡
@@A-BombEnergy Yes, because the big fanboys like Scotty Kilmer, Car Care Nut and others will continue to push this idea that Toyota's are indestructible when as you said they simply are not. To many people have money invested in the myth of "Toyota's are indestructible" for others to be quiet. I think a documentary on Toyota's historical failures/recalls would do great viewing numbers.
Craig, I agree with you brother. I am considering creating a longer format version of this Toyota film. Maybe do some heavier research. I have lots of questions about this brand and I need to become absolutely obsessed to make sure its done right. This might actually take a team to create...I love Toyota but this infallibility myth is getting a little old lol...Random question for you Craig, but do you think there is anything I can be doing better in these videos? -Brandon 🫡

Toyota publicly stated they wanted to sell the most cars in the world (surpassing VW Group). It's pretty hard to do that and maintain a high level of quality.
Jay, excellent point here. Do you think it’d be better to sell more cars or make better cars and then build the customer base slower? I also thought Toyota was already outpacing VW Group? Or am I wrong on that? -Brandon
@A-BombEnergy Toyota is a well established brand, so they don't need to build their customer base any further. But how did they get there? By being known for being reliable. They need to stick with that. Being the biggest car manufacturer has more disadvantages then advantages.
Yeah they have a solid base for sure. I think they are losing it though unfortunately. My friend is a big supporter of Toyota and he is starting to move away from them… What disadvantages would you say are Toyotas biggest? I’m thinking the ability to be spotlighted for small mistakes? More expectations? I appreciate the response Jay, I hope you have an excellent weekend. -Brandon 🫡
The fact that someone would make threats over a car company that will continue to overcharge them for cars and repairs while making billions every year really show their lack of brain power. As some one who works at an automotive supplier for multiple brands, including Toyota, I have seen a decrease in quality control in my 20 years there. We pass stuff we would have never passed 10 years ago. We also have a lot of stuff coming from Mexico that we just repackage to score points on the "made in USA chart. I will continue to drive my 25 year old truck and 40 year old car until they won't go anymore. All brands suck. Period.
Oh man it seems the brain power of the years has slowly been eroding lol. I feel like am a pretty fair dude...but come on. I am constantly hearing people like you (people in the automotive industry) tell me Toyota quality has gone down. Next time, I need get some of you guys on camera. I am surprised to hear about the repackaging part though...that's super deceptive, its one reason why I am so skeptical these days. Thanks for commenting my brother, you have been on the channel since the beginning, I appreciate it. Hope those cars continue to last forever. -Brandon 🫡
People are ridiculously sentimental and in general tend to think that the stuff they grew up with and/or spent a lot of time with must be great or the best, otherwise their life was a waste. For the best example in Europe I would give passion for local football clubs. Some psycho-fans would literally hurt other people for reasons that only make sense in their not so bright minds. And it pains me to say that the automotive culture is very similar. People like their cars and will defend themselves from truth (shady OEM policies, reliability issues) because otherwise they are going to feel horrible about their decisions. It's easier to react with anger and denial than admit to mistakes. Looking forward to your next video on China stuff. Keep up great work! -Michal
Michal, thank you so much for this comment! I do agree with you brother and I don’t get it. I think people view whatever thing they align with as an extension of themselves? Whether it be a sport or product. It can even be as simple as something like sunglasses, I used to exclusively buy Oakleys but once they switched manufacturing to Brazil, quality has CLEARLY gone down and now I don’t buy them anymore unless they are USA made. Now I buy Gatorz or Ray Ban. Quality is what is key. I’m so excited to get the china video out. It’s going to generate tons of conversation and I’m excited to hear everyone’s thoughts. Always a pleasure Michal. -Brandon 🫡
Great response! In terms of Scotty hes always dying every week or saying Toyota is bankrupt. He’s helping people with issues and advising best. Toyota is pocketing the money from Mexican production. Keep in mind for a Mexican that salary is pretty good and they give good benefits too. Theres a lot of people trying to keep up with the Jones especially with cars. Its sad when people do that. I respect people with older and clean cars. Ill send you a couple of vids about the Chinese cars. 😊 btw they are already in Mexico.
Jacob! My friend, good to see you. Yeah Scotty is the epitome of clickbait haha I still love him though. He genuinely likes helping people and something I always tell people to be on the lookout for…does a UA-camr get press cars? Are they sponsored? If so, we have to be slightly more critical on their opinions because now they have something to lose. I’m not against sponsors and stuff but it can add some complexity… You are spot on with the Mexican salary too. The issue with it and I’m guilty of being critical of it, but if these companies give a really good salary, it will imbalance the local economy. So if the pay they get is good, then right on. Yeah I’m deep diving the Chinese cars and holy smokes, they are everywhere…I think my video is going to make people mad but I’m here to say what I believe 😂. Thanks for sending the videos brother, super appreciated 😁. -Brandon 🫡
Yeah they certainly are with hurricane engine. Idk I’m just a little confused at this point with this decision. Even the frontier kept their NA engine and so many other brands. It just seems like this one was really rushed to production? Or am I being overly critical of them? Idk if I’ve ever heard of a 100k engine recall in my life. I’ve heard of that with parts but never engines…idk time will tell I guess but I have my predictions for sure. -Brandon 🫡

Labor is not the most expensive part of building a car. Add in all factory costs, including the $1 billion price tag for the plant itself, and you’re looking at roughly 10% to 15% of the car’s cost.
Excellent point James! Do you think there should be a cost cut with the shift in labor? I only say this because the plant in Mexico has been there since 2004. -Brandon 🫡
@@A-BombEnergy Based on that math, a switch to Mexican labor would have cut production costs by 9% to to 13%, but manufacturers have been using these savings to cover the increased cost of context consumers want like electronics, screens, nicer interiors and the cost of regulatory requirements in safety and emissions wanted by governments.
Oh these mandated safety features and supposed demand for tech...its wild what you get in a base model car these days. My 2024 Jetta has radar in it...and its a base model. Wow... I'll have to shoot you the Chinese video script before I launch...if you are interested brother. -Brandon 🫡
I don't get your comment about the "90% decrease in your labor cost". As you stated, they were already building Tacomas in Mexico for your "base cost" comparison. It doesn't seem like there was much, if any, labor cost savings since 2020. If remember correctly my 2007 Tacoma TRD OR DCSB was built in Mexico. It's the most reliable/durable/bulletproof vehicle I've ever owned. I sold it to my buddy's wife when I bought my 2006 Land Cruiser and they love the Taco as much as I did. I keep asking how it's doing(they tow a small RV with it quite a bit) and nothing but routine maintenance since they bought it from me.
Of course brother, I’ll clarify more. Yes, they have been building them in Mexico BUT that’s not all of them, I believe the figure was about 30ish% were built in Mexico and the other 70ish% were built in the US. However, since they completely closed the US Tacoma facility, they have now significantly reduced labor cost because now they are no longer paying American wage levels. Does that make sense? I’m not saying that it’s a bad thing either, I don’t mind because it’s a private company. But we shouldn’t be surprised if we see a reduction in quality because it’s been proven that Mexican plants don’t build as well as American plants. Same as how American plants don’t build BMWs as well as German plants. Or American plants don’t build cars as well Japanese plants. Did that make sense? If not brother, let me know. I might have overinflated the price of 90% and it might be closer to 70ish%. I was just doing quick math 🤣 NEVER DO MATH IN PUBLIC 🤣🤣. Thanks for commenting brother, I truly appreciate it and I look forward to our future conversations my friend. -Brandon 🫡
@@A-BombEnergy I think the biggest hit to the reliability is going to be them trying to squeeze the most out of the smaller engines they are replacing the 8's and 6's with. The "bullet proof" stuff always seemed to be under powered(for what it was capable of) and a gas hog. Time will tell
Johnny, I think almost everyone will agree with that. I met someone yesterday who LOVES what Toyota is doing with the turbo engines but he even admitted it will cause Toyota to be hit with reliability issues. But he was a richer guy and didn't care about maintenance stuff as long as it wasn't all the time. You are right though, time will certainly tell....-Brandon 🫡
I am not offended, some things he said was wrong. Can you tell me a car brand that’s making reliable cars than Toyota? Which car companies has most recalls in past ten years? What got us bad was misinformation. Not to say that Toyota doesn’t have issues, but which car manufacturer is perfect? And if it wasn’t for EPA, would Toyota go turbo? Plus turbos aren’t bad. They have been making them for decades in other markets. Check out Toyota hiace and see how reliable it is. Some land cruisers in Asia and Africa are turbo charged. Misinformation is the problem.
@@boxoffisa bruh your response is the typical toyota apologist. Toyota made the most reliable cars but recently their products have declined but it didn’t take away the great cars they made before. You apologists seems like we are taking away your past which we are not. We are talking about recent problems not the total history but you are always in your feelings bu huu my toyota best toyota ever, we have the best, we have that, we didn’t have those etc.
@@voodoodiecast alright, not every time that someone disagree with us it’s a feeling. 😊. Disagreeing without being toxic is what I am not what I am doing. Feelings is when you start to label someone something in awake of defense, in some examples when a man disagrees with someone about women, he is labeled misogyny. In this case I am labeled apologist. Anyways, that’s enough lecture. I wanted to be educated, unfortunately my questions was not answered. I wanted to know who has most recalls in last ten years. Who has had most reliable crowned years for the past ten years. But the fact you can’t answer it proves what I was saying that the video had bias and misinformation. I don’t reject that fact where Toyota has failed but at least they have been better than anyone else. But the video made it look so bad which is a lie.
Dude I’ve tried explaining to him that I’m only talking about newer models. I have stopped engaging with him unfortunately because he just keeps going to everyone’s comments and trying to defend everything about Toyota. He has no idea that I agree with him almost entirely except for newer models. As for you, you have been around a long time and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it brother. 🫡 -Brandon
Yup yup, that’s a solid year! I am skeptical if the new ones will last as long as your 09 taco. You are also probably an excellent owner too? Thanks for commenting my friend! -Brandon 🫡
I am a very big fan of Toyota's golden age vehicles. That doesn't mean I can't see the downward trajectory that they're heading in. It's sad to see them trend in this direction but it is of their own making.
Ethan, you are so right my brother and I completely agree. Idk why people get so offended that the brand is clearly tanking. It’s fine. We just need to call it out so they can fix the problem and make the product better. You think there is hope for them? -Brandon 🫡
@@A-BombEnergy I do think there is hope. They have handled the recall issues fairly well which is a sign that they still care. It's just sad to see because these types of recalls would have never happened years ago.
Ethan, thanks for the response brother. I tend to agree with your thought here and I certainly hope you are right. My understanding, Toyota conducted the recall before they were forced to do something...which if they were forced, I'd be willing to bet NHTSA wouldn't have made them recall 100k plus engines...just my 2 cents though. Have you seen my other films brother? I would honestly love to hear your thoughts on them my friend. I am always trying to improve. -Brandon 🫡
That's the plan! I have a lot of thoughts on Honda, more positive than negative to be honest. Is there anything in particular you are thinking about with Honda? Thanks for the suggestion too Jesse, i always appreciate them and write them down. -Brandon 🫡
So I'll spill a little bit of my opinion before the video...you let me know what you think...my fears are that subsidized Chinese vehicles will pose an unfair advantage, which will either bankrupt American automakers...which we all know how I feel about them...lol. OR it will force America to subsidize even more on American cars. Also Japan wasn't hostile to America at the time either...or at minimum in a Grey Zone Warfare. I have LOADS more to cover in the video...it will transcend just cheap Chinese cars from entering the market. I look forward to hearing from you brother. -Brandon 🫡
Bro you putting in the pufferfish had me chuckle, I spit out my fucking drink at the "why are you gay" snippet. Jesus you're funny as hell hahaha. I've always recommended Toyota to my family and friends but primarily only for their vehicles prior to 2019, so 2018 and before. In the industry Toyota has the best CVT still and I will fight anyone who says otherwise, but their overall quality has nosedove straight down. My stepdad has a 2019 tacoma with the I-force engine 5.7 and the driveline/powertrain is perfectly fine, but the passenger side headlight bracket just snapped for quite literally no reason. Truck has never been off the road, never hit anything, just driven to work and back, maybe hauled a few small things that never came close to the weight capacity. But when that headlight broke that was my major wake up to be like "Wow, it's true.." To the quality being lowered.
Haha yeah man I’m trying to start adding some comedy to the channel because who doesn’t like comedy. And it’s a good way to rip on people that threatened me 🤣. I’ve always recommended them too brother, for the same reasons you did. But I generally don’t anymore because of the cheapness of their products now. I’m really sorry to hear the issues your stepdad had. It’s totally unacceptable in this day and age. I always tell people this and I’d love to hear your thoughts on this…shouldn’t products ALWAYS be improving? Technology is getting better, manufacturing processes are getting better, supply chain kinks are improving, especially after the pandemic, and customer desire data has never been this high. So how come companies aren’t just KNOCKING it out of the park at this point? I would love to hear what you think of this brother. And thank you for being a subscriber. I cannot express how much it means to me. -Brandon 🫡
CAFE standard are hurting quality across the board. The EPA and all those NGOs need to be dissolved there is no rational conversation with the activists behind the desk. Wind back the standards to say Euro 3-4 and car quality will improve significantly across the world.
Oh absolutely brother. I don’t think many will disagree with you on that. What I don’t understand, and maybe I’m wrong but the policies they are putting in place are having a negative effect on the environment. I think the initial policies were a force for good but the regulations have surpassed science and engineering. It’s just wild because everyone wants to protect the environment but what they are doing is having the opposite effect…let’s hope something changes so we can all prosper from better made products. -Brandon 🫡
@@A-BombEnergy, well, those policies are creating a negative impact on the environment. As engines require more maintenance and replacements, it increases the resources used to maintain said engine, which leads to more waste, etc. As I said, Euro 3-4, which was around 2000-2005, I think most would argue cars in that era weren't too unreliable. Euro 7 comes in next year, July 1st, 2025. So, quality will only get worse.
Looking forward to the video, Brandon. I did some videos on China, and the EVs parked in forests to pad production numbers. Typical communist tactics I saw in the former soviet block, where it was all about 5 year plans, ever increasing production. Quality was never an aspect. Funny how the NEV (new energy they call it) may be on the verge of a shift with the deal with Saudi Arabia and the gasoline refineries being build in the mainland. Had a chuckle at the pinned comment. But one thing I found myseld doing was checking out of the new car market. Im just one guy, but more and more people are just rebuilding older non classic cars, to make those like new, rather than buying new. (This also happened in soviet states where you were on years long waiting lists) but the philosophical implication is most worrying. The effect of checking out. Its not just the West, but China, Japan, lying flat, or let it rot mentallity. So many are not actively participating in society, or feel left out, or falling through the cracks (without being screwed over by the VA, so not an inefficiency problem but one that is at the core of our emerging new way of life). I cant blame people for wanting to go live in the woods, unplug and do whatever. (I often feel Im stupid that I still want to contribute, to be productive.) What I was mentioning last vid. I reached out to my Congressman, and I guess Monday Ill find out more. Right now, the other medications they have me on, are the kind that if I stop taking them, I go into arrhythmia and cardiac arrest. The joys of a broke spine (its like frame damage and bad wiring! so...Im just a new Jeep or Ram lol. Feel like a malaise era human). Whatever will happens, I am almost serene about the outcome. I cant be woe is me, when everytime I go to the VA, theres at least one vet thats dying over malpractice. Just met an Army vet that had leukemia and its too late now becuase they just didnt want to do blood work. Its so bad and widespread one must wonder if its deliberate, but those are thoughts for a later me, once and if I resolve this. (Its hard to write this without coming off as fatalistic, rather than stoic. Been reading a lot of Epictetus, Marcus Aurelius, and at the end of the day, my body, is not mine, only my mind and soul are mine, so no point in worry over that which is not mine, that I have no control over. But, not giving up. I want to edit the Trans Am videos, just will do it without worrying and lamenting) Man, why am I always writing novels. lol. Hope youre doing well, brother. Alex
Hey Alex! Sorry took so long to get to this. I’m still in the field right now. I’m not sure about far east EVs coming into our market. To me, it doesn’t seem like a good idea. It only seems like a temporary band aid to people’s problems of not being able to afford a car. What else comes with that car??? I’m sorry to hear you are having issues with the VA. It’s one reason I’m probably never going to use them and I’ll just pay for my own work ups and interpret my own results. My friends and I were just talking the medical professionals of our day. So many are amazing but it’s seems the standard might be lowering? Not quite sure what’s going on here…I really hope you can get your stuff squared away brother. Things might change…🤞 -Brandon

Hyundai and Kia are some of the lowest quality vehicles on the market right now, they are nowhere near Toyota, and this is coming from someone who hates Toyota vehicles and would never buy a Toyota. Hyundai and Kia are cheap disposable vehicles that are designed to get people to look at a spec sheet and think "oh this one looks great" and then almost immediately start having issues. It's why Hyundai and Kia have so many engine and transmission issues and why it's so difficult to get Hyundai and Kia to cover anything under warranty. That 10 year 100k mile warranty looks great in marketing until an owner has to actually use it. Please do one of these videos about Hyundai and Kia, because once you see all the issues with both brands, you will stop using them a positive alternative examples.
I don't know where you got that information from. In my experience as well as those in owners forums, Kia and Hyundai have been very reliable brands. 300,000 miles on the original transmission and engine are not rare. They are high quality vehicles from what I see, or at least as high as any one can be.
Really? I’m not saying you are wrong because maybe you are seeing data that I’m not seeing. But everything I’m seeing right now is showing that they are crushing it when it comes to quality and reliability. Especially their new ones. Now everything you are pointing out I can totally see with the older Hyundais and Kia’s. However, thank you for sharing this data and I hope to hear from you my friend. -Brandon 🫡
@@A-BombEnergy it’s more true on the newer ones than the older ones. They have alarmingly high rates of engine and transmission failure. The problem is they made their cars look better and drop in a ton of features that look good on a spec sheet so folks overlook the issues and most of their buyers think that it’s completely normal to need a new engine and transmission every couple of oil changes.
When it comes to quality being surpassed by other brands I can pretty much say that Hyundai has probably surpassed Toyota with quality, design and adaptive methods. Here in the EU in Germany in my city I see more and more Hyundai drive around then Toyota. It's a mich bigger difference here in the EU then in the US when it comes to sales. But even if the Brand isn't at fault, the people working on them are, why? Well my first car I bought from a Toyota dealer, and as simple as looking under my car was too much to ask from that dealer, they also ordered the Rims with tiress 3 times in the wrong sizes. Such big dealers that are under Toyota have kind of ruined my perspective. But as bad as they were, they kept staying bad and the 86 GR I wanted to buy had a massive pay wall that prevented me from buying it,and a good reason for it as that one broke down, the transmission blown. Meanwhile I go to Hyundai dealer and ask to get the car checked beneath, boom up and seen personally if all is good. True Chad dealer, the workshop and the people working.
Man brother I’m so glad to hear that other brands like Hyundai are doing well in Germany (my second home). I wondering if EU cars get a better build quality than American spec? We have higher safety standards and I know that can sometimes cause problems with the vehicle itself. I think you are spot on with the dealers/workers. Have you seen my dealership video? I feel that it should have performed better because so many people seem to have that experience in my opinion. What are your thoughts on German brands like BMW and Mercedes? Thanks again for being such an awesome subscriber and a small connection back to my second home. I don’t ever want my subscribers to feel I don’t appreciate them. -Brandon 🫡
@@A-BombEnergy We do have similar safety measure here in EU compared to the US. However we do categorised them in Segments and it helps statistics to see what car is good in popularity as well as design of quality. But its thanks to the insane amount of Testing many safety company do as well as the car makers improving on they models. I believe in the US your traffic is focused on Giant SUV,Pick Up and Mid size. While here in EU we got from A to S Segments that make up to a wide range of cars, some better then others, however the US market is slowly convincing people that an SUV is an ideal vehicle, causing many car brands to sell multiple SUV Types (VW has 5 SUV models I believe). I have not yet see all your videos, when I do have the time ill watch them, work is heavy on my side. My thoughts on BMW and MB is that both arent in a good position for the moment,it could change if they see whats wrong for they fans. While MB Doesnt care much, apart from making a stirr of they V8 being replaced with a i4 engine for they AMG lines (They did saw how nobody bought these, cant remember the model name) But BMW is kind of screwed as in design and choice making. The new Models that came out were down right insulting to many BMW fans, they even make fun of em (Example are the BMW that looks like a KIA and the BOAT of an M5 they sell) I do appreciate the content you make, and when consistently done will work in the long run, however I do feel like the thumbnail could be a bit more simple while a single work, nice colour in the back and the car sticking the most out.
Thanks for letting me know Tyler. I’ll tone it down next time. I made this one in a hurry, idk if you can tell I looked pretty fatigued haha. 🤣 I’ll make sure it’s better next time Tyler. In my podcasts, I don’t use music. 🫣 -Brandon 🫡
Can’t wait for the Chinese video. From a national security perspective we do need factories in case of war and whatnot so I get it. I get the arguments and believe their reasoning has some merit. However, I just don’t find it compelling. Kind of like how corporations killed company loyalty it’s pretty similar at the government level. Why should I be loyal to somebody who doesn’t care about me? I just want inexpensive transportation that isn’t killing the earth any country be damned.
Oh yeah brother I can’t wait to get it to you guys. My thoughts are so much different than many in the automotive industry and I’m sure that video will garner massive flak and spark an intense debate between pro and anti Chinese cars. Which will be the point, it’s the only way we can come to a better future and solution. I totally get where you are coming from too on your points. And I agree with you 100%. American companies don’t care about us at all, otherwise they would be employing more Americans, providing a better products to its consumers, and not selling out to other countries and selling intellectual secrets…loads to discuss here. If you have other thoughts brother, I’d love to hear them. You can always hit me up on other socials or post them here. -Brandon 🫡
Why the 5.7 liter HEMI is still in production is an interesting point. My theory is American trucks are more known for their v8's, and would still loose a significant amount of buyers if they discontinued the v8. People who buy Japanese trucks, meanwhile, are thought of as the masculinity underdogs, and more want a vehicle with better fuel efficiency, even though in the case of the Tacoma it's only in theory. Mazda is certainly close to on par with Toyota as is Honda, but Kia/Hyundai have had historically terrible four-cylinder engines that they still are replacing to this day. And these are defective engines, not just they left some metal residue in the engine. They burn oil, experience carbon buildup, and the pistons may knock against the cylinder walls, which can seize the engine.
Yeah and the same goes for the 5.0 coyote in Ford. I know RAM is slowly transitioning to the 3.0 Hurricane but they still mass produce the 5.7. I think your theory totally has merit for sure brother. I’m almost certain Mazda is on par with Toyota…with the data and reports I’m seeing online… Thanks for the comment Ethan. If I recall, you’ve been here since the beginning and I really appreciate that. -Brandon 🫡
Don't give me too much credit, your channel is pretty young. Great job on 5k in 5 months though! Mazda has partnered with Ford in the past and built terribly unreliable rotary engines, only becoming independent once again in 2015. I haven't heard anything bad about their modern lineup. I am a Toyota boy myself, and am painfully aware of their faults, and the faults of the automotive industry as a whole, mostly tied to a worsening economy and demand for high efficiency, affordability, and huge amounts of technology. Oh, and I did proofread my comment, but after posting it I realized I'm supposed to spell "loose" as "lose," my bad LOL.
Ethan, thank you and I am quite surprised on the growth of the channel and so grateful. Once I completely transition out of the military, I am hoping this will be able to supplement my living expenses and while I grow my business. I certainly think Mazda and Korean brands are going to surpass Toyota in the future. Which hopefully this will drive some intense competition between the brands and we can see a big upward trajectory towards more quality products being built. AND you don't need to proofread your comment Ethan, only if you are slinging insults at me 🤣 then I need it proofread 🤣. Brother you'd be surprised on the insult comments lol, they misspell more than anyone. I hope me highlighting Toyota didn't offend you brother, I do love Toyota. I really just want them to do well. -Brandon 🫡
Might be a bit late to respond, but since you appear to read literally every single comment, I want to mention that you did not offend me, though the video did just seem to be following the trends online without much insight. Everyone seems to be raging about this without understanding the root cause: quality is too expensive, people want too much modern tech, and Toyota is simply trying to compete in a market that is very technology competitive. Competition with other brands unfortunately won't help, because people are demanding the same thing from all of them. This, quality will go down unless we get our priorities straight. Nobody buys base model cars anymore. Oh, and your description of the reaction of Toyota truck guys is indicative of a deeper issue. Truck buyers are the loudest demographic, the hardest to please, the most stubborn and aggressive, and the least brand loyal funnily enough. One problem with their precious Toyota truck, and they will hate it. Toyota recalling engines that might experience an issue as opposed to only ones that are is a rare thing that shows they want to rectify the mistake as much as possible. Kia and Hyundai are not doing this, and their issues are much worse. But the truck owners don't care. "It's not a real man's truck, it's missing all these features." Toyota adds the features, now they say, "I want the old Toyota back, it was much more reliable." And it's always the producer's fault, not the consumer.
Hey brother, yeah I do my best to read every comment. YT sometimes sends me emails when I get new replies and sometimes they don't. So every day I check to see if anything has popped up. You are right though, I should have given more insight and I think you will like what I make in the future, I am going so deep into the subjects. Downside? Takes longer to produce but I am okay with that. Personally, I think nobody buys base model cars anymore because there is no such thing as a base model car anymore...just look at the base model VW Jetta...LOADED with tech, I know because I have one lol. You are spot on though with truck dudes, they can be the absolute hardest to please. I knew a guy who would get a new truck every 6-12 months because he couldn't find one he liked. He ended up settling on a base model F150 from the early 2000's...and the dude is rich...Its very interesting to say the least. Thanks for the comment brother. -Brandon
I just don’t understand the whole fanboy phenomenon. I traded in my 2010 Tacoma this year due to the frame rust issue. Loved the truck and worked it hard on farm land. Motor and trans were still strong. When I saw what the 24 Tacoma had become and how it was priced I absolutely refused. I need a natural aspirated V6 for a mid size truck to last me. The old lightweight manual 4 cylinder trucks are long gone and these trucks are heavier. I’m sorry I refuse to be Toyota’s guinea pig and have no use for a turbo. They can slap big power/payload numbers all they want. Not interested. I wish all toyota buyers best of luck with their vehicles but I went with a Frontier this time.
Right? It’s really odd. I personally love BMWs but idk if I’d consider myself a fan boy. I understand what I’m getting into and don’t even believe for a second they are the best cars, that’s too subjective. They are the best for me. I’m sorry to hear your Tacoma was having frame rust issues brother. This is so frustrating that they still have these kinds of problems. @@A-BombEnergy thanks, I like the Nissan, it is very utilitarian and the workload I have for it in my opinion needs the V6. If Toyota made light trucks like they did in the 90’s I would be ok with a non turbo 4 with a 5 or 6 speed manual but midsize trucks are quite heavy these days. I think this Frontier will do well on the farm, the taco did very well also but the frame just didn’t last. The dealer years ago told me the 09 was the last year for frame replacement. Was mine one that wasn’t coated correctly? Not sure but I got my money out of it and comparing Nissan vs. Toyota from a financial and longevity POV the choice was simple.
I’m really happy to hear this brother. I too would love one of those old 90’s Tacoma’s. What’s crazy is that SO many people want that too and it’s why the Maverick is wildly popular. First: i gave up the no-cost tribal support of companies to the point of death threats a long time ago. Second: if you are going to move production from domestic manufacturing to foreign locations without passing along the savings you suck. Third: manufacturing companies embrace a certain level of regulation. Industries control these regulations through lobbying. They aren't victims of unfair government overreach. I believe they do this so they have the competitive advantage over Chinese and Indian manufacturing. For now. Keep up the great work.

I think Mazda is the next big one. Lastly, I have to say, of all the brand loyalists out there, Toyota has the only fanbase that I know of that pretends that Toyota is the *only* reliable brand. Not Honda... Not Mazda... Not RAM... Not Ford... Not Volvo... Not any of the others, just Toyota. Well..... My old friend's 1997 F-150 with an I6 engine and 800k miles on it would like a word with them.

@@A-BombEnergy He tells me that he replaced an alternator once. But that's the only time he's had to wrench anywhere near the engine, he said. I'll tell you a funny story, but I want to proceed with something. I used to make gas tanks for cars when I graduated from college. While I was with the company after several years, we did business with most of the major automakers, and one called "Karma". I actually led the quality testing for a few years and one day a Japanese company called "MAZDA" came to do business with us. We were going to start making tanks for the new CX-50, and I got to supervise the quality testing for launch, and Mazda sent representatives from North America and Japan to supervise overall. Well, on the day we launched, I stood by the production line to watch over assembly for a few minutes waiting for the very first tank to test, and I stood by this dude who was from Mazda of Japan. We talked for a little bit, I mentioned how I loved my 1995 MX-5 and he was all happy to hear it. I got my first tank to be tested, and he asked me very politely "how long to approve production?" Well seeing as I've never worked with one, I didn't have a solid answer, so I used a phrase that he as a Mazda rep should understand. "Zoom Zoom Baby!" He smiled and I went on my way. I later told that story to my boss and the plant manager, they expressed mild disapproval but found it hilarious nonetheless. About two months later, following a successful launch. I'm in the offices and here comes a delegation from Mazda of Japan, leading them was the very same dude who I told the "Zoom Zoom Baby" response to with a thumbs up, no less. And behind them, I can see my boss and the manager quietly signalling for me to not say anything to them. But these guys from Japan were all smiled and their leader stopped to say hello to me, then he turned to his entourage, pointed at me and said "Zoom Zoom Baby!" They LOVED my response, as it turned out. I later learned that he was Masahiro Moro, who I believe is now a high up executive. I always looked forward to their visits. End wall of text.

@@MehdiS-music THIS, AMD seems like a great guy, BUT he has his livelihood invested into people buying Toyota's and them needing servicing.
People think the extra mechanical and thermal stress disappears because of magical unicorn bearings, reality illudes them
The whole "emissions" thing is a scam, if they actually cared, tax schemes would depend purely on weight, as more mass used on production = more emissions and more fuel needed to move the car (which means even more emissions!), with just base model single cabs, kei trucks and vans getting any tax break because work vehicles.
i have always said this, and say it again, small engine+Big Hp= unreliability
Brother! Such a solid point on the Frontiers. Even with the Hemis in Ram. I just don’t buy the whole excuse making Toyota apologists are making. Nobody is saying that the older Toyotas are bad.
-Brandon 🫡

-Brandon 🫡
@A-BombEnergy I absolutely agree!
Honda has proven to be Honda, Hyundai has also been proven to be Hyundai and they did so in the Middle East.
Hey Brandon, you are creating some great content with these videos. I can't understand the people who seem to think any automaker is infallible.

My friend is a big supporter of Toyota and he is starting to move away from them…

I’m not against sponsors and stuff but it can add some complexity…
You are spot on with the Mexican salary too.
-Brandon 🫡
7:30 Good point, but even Chrysler announced they will shut down HEMI's in some near future
-Brandon 🫡
8:09 please use this clip if you make a video about Subaru. I drive a WRX and love playing with the stick ❤
Haha I think Subaru specifically targets people who play with the fake sticks 🤣 But I'll def use it bro! Haha

Time will tell
Johnny, I think almost everyone will agree with that. Those who were offended are just some toyota sheeps😂 with zero knowledge or awareness.

I believe in the US your traffic is focused on Giant SUV,Pick Up and Mid size.
While here in EU we got from A to S Segments that make up to a wide range of cars, some better then others, however the US market is slowly convincing people that an SUV is an ideal vehicle, causing many car brands to sell multiple SUV Types (VW has 5 SUV models I believe).
I have not yet see all your videos, when I do have the time ill watch them, work is heavy on my side.
My thoughts on BMW and MB is that both arent in a good position for the moment,it could change if they see whats wrong for they fans.
While MB Doesnt care much, apart from making a stirr of they V8 being replaced with a i4 engine for they AMG lines (They did saw how nobody bought these, cant remember the model name)
But BMW is kind of screwed as in design and choice making.
The new Models that came out were down right insulting to many BMW fans, they even make fun of em (Example are the BMW that looks like a KIA and the BOAT of an M5 they sell)

I’m almost certain Mazda is on par with Toyota…with the data and reports I’m seeing online…

And dude you nailed it with the whole guinea pig thing, no way brother. That’s not my style. I really hope these guys don’t have any issues, I do feel bad for them though…
How is the Frontier? I was looking at getting one of the new ones for my business. Thanks for commenting my friend, I genuinely look forward to our future conversations my friend. -Brandon 🫡
I’m still on the hunt for a decent frontier, especially when the price is right.
Thanks again for getting back to me brother. It’s super appreciated my friend. I love this community and how helpful you guys are. I hope you stick around. -Brandon 🫡
@@A-BombEnergy I did sub. I wish everyone luck with whatever rides they get. I hear if you can still find 24’s on the lots you may be able to talk them down. If you need the long bed in a pro 4x the 25’s are available with them. I got the pro4x with some of the tech options fender stereo sprayed in factory bed liner for 44. With trade and tax I was under 40 back in August.
Wow thank you for the sub my friend, I really appreciate that. Sounds like you got yourself a solid deal there brother. I don't know if I would get new, can't afford that right now unfortunately, but I would dance around with getting a used 23 or 24 for sure. Plus...dealers in my area are so unreasonable, every time I buy a car I always drive to South Carolina or sometimes I fly to FL if the deal is good enough. Thanks again my friend. -Brandon 🫡
Yeah dude, some people are insane when it comes to the tribal stuff. Some people just don’t know how to critically think either (like the comment I pinned at the top). Thank God you are one of the smart ones, it’s one reason why I love you guys so much.
And yeah what’s up with them still charging a TON!? Like at least provide some cost savings. And yeah these companies are digging their own grave, if Chinese cars ever enter the market, that’s it for almost every brand out there. Idk how they can compete. I appreciate you brother, you’ve been here since the beginning and I won’t forget that. -Brandon 🫡
Toyota is top 3 car selling in china Top 4 in USA Rank 11 in india because suzuki smart Local Combination strategy , Top selling in southeast asia , what decline ? . Compare To BYD , Tesla , Ford , Hondha , suzuki , isn't it still Most widespread car worldwide ? .
It is 100% in decline but I’m referring to the United States and not China. China is a whole different animal.
Kinda crazy that the most reliable 2024 Toyota has a BMW engine🤡🔫
Haha that’s the quickest way to trigger a Toyota fan boy lol 😂 Ask me how I know…lol. They think the Toyota of yesterday is the Toyota of today lol…like let’s be real. I have the B58 engine and that thing is absolutely incredible. Longevity though…we will certainly find out.
Thanks for commenting brother. -Brandon 🫡
If you don't like something don't buy it. Chinese cars 😂 I would say Ford and Toyota are 2 companies that actually take feedback from customers. The biggest draw backs are the regulations mpg and smog requirements. My 21 tundra the steel was definitely thicker compared to the new 24 tundra you can see the hood vibrate at highway speeds it's aluminum. All V8 will dissappear eventually.
Yes, Toyota is absolutely solid on listening to customers. Not sure about Ford but if you say so, I trust you because I certainly don’t know everything. I’ve heard other people say the same thing about the new tundra too…one of the people I featured in the videos said a lot of the same things you said. He ended up getting Toyota to buy his back because the quality was just so bad. I certainly hope all V8s don’t go away but sadly I think you are right.
What’s your thoughts on the Chinese cars? Did you know Buick cars (and a lot of GM products really) are made in china? It’s pretty wild isn’t it? -Brandon 🫡
New-Gen Toyotas and Hondas are not what they used to be and are junk.
Jeff, yeah brother the quality has significantly declined and it’s sad to see because these are incredible brands. What’s going on with Honda? I’ve been following some of their issues but I’d love to hear your take on the situation. -Brandon 🫡
Look, my friend people that send you threats barely know nothing about cars themselves 😂😂
Haha right? I laughed so hard when I saw those. I show people all the time when I get wild comments.
Please do research on how Australian market is handling Chinese cars, Australia sell minerals resources to China at low cost, so if we go into financial trouble or Africa or Afghanistan goes civil war, i would expect car prices go up for Americans. This could happened at point of no return of US car industry if they are struggling. Jon of all cars YT did vid about patriotism, would be enough to save US car industry?
This comment reminded me one thing, most Americans think the world revolves around them. That’s why this video and past video is about one market where Toyota serves. Thanks for reminding me.
Jimmy you make no sense. Australia doesn't have an Auto industry so they can let Chinese imports in without tariffs.
@@timothydevries383 how old are you Tim, we did have great car industry, that why US should learn lessons as our chicken tax gone, the only tax is luxury which effect big car companies because they can't compete with Chinese wagers n gov benefits. We also lost farm machinery manufacturing here in Australia too but we found solutions in helping not just farmers benefiting but major US manufacturers, i give one example CaseIH, JD n New Holland share parts, what part is it?
A. Alternator in their big combines, even combine fronts.
That’s a crazy good point brother. That’s some great thinking when it comes to 2nd & 3rd order effects. This is kind of forward thinking we really try to cultivate on this channel brother. I’ll check out Jon’s video, I love that dude. Thanks Jim, I hope you have a great week. -Brandon 🫡
Well America is the greatest country and our tax dollars go to almost every country in the form of aid. So yeah, you’re welcome. -Brandon 🫡
Please het rid of the background music, i came to hear you talk about stuff, not listen to elevator/please hold music.
Adam, thank you for letting me know about that. I’ll make sure in the future that at minimum turn it way down or only have some in the beginning. It’s hard to figure out exactly what everyone wants because some people like it and some don’t. However, I do have a podcast that has no music in it at all if you are interested in that. Thanks again for sharing this with me, it’s really the only way to make improvements. Otherwise, it’s just me making videos that I like and not what the audience likes. Please stay in touch Adam. -Brandon 🫡
@@A-BombEnergy well thanks for taking it so well, Ill check out your podcast then.
Of course brother, I always welcome feedback. It’s the only way to improve. I sometimes have to calm myself when someone comes at me hard because sometimes they come at me hard because they care. But sometimes it’s to be not a nice person haha. 🤣 You came at me with care and I can tell. So I appreciate that brother. -Brandon 🫡
@@A-BombEnergy ya to be honest I could have worded my point better, it came across very shitty. But thanks to you’re response I will try to be better when commenting. Sometimes on the internet its very easy to forget that on the other side of it is just a person whos trying.
For sure bro and no worries. Context and intent are difficult to decode in text. All good though 😁
Jesus, and I thought the Jeep fans were loony (I own 2). Regulations are killing us in the auto industry, but no one wants to talk about it 'cuz climate stuff. And no, I don't think any seasoned mechanic I know of would go as far to say that Hyundai/Kia/Genesis are getting anywhere near close to Toyota quality... But Mazda has a lot of potential.
Yeah man isn’t that the most wildest thing out there? Like who could be so loyal that they are so blind? It’s a brand lol. Not a religion 😂. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about Mazda and the Korean brands. I definitely think Mazda is up there right now…I know a lot of dudes that are cranking high miles on their Mazdas…I didn’t it was possible but apparently it is. It’s new data for me and I’m always open to the data.
Has your friend had any major issues with his truck? Regardless, it’s crazy impressive if you ask me. Thanks for commenting too brother, I really appreciate the love and support. -Brandon 🫡
End wall of text.
lol "OK sure"
Lol you like that?

I'm super excited to hear your take on Chinese cars. I have a Xiaomi phone myself, and while I joke it's the finest in Chinese spyware, I wasn't really concerned about nations sabotaging consumer goods for a political win until the pager attacks.
Europe (and much of the rest of the world) has already tasted Chinese EVs. Having seen them in Scandinavia, they're fine if you like Teslas, I guess. Ed's Auto Reviews has a good "history thus far" of them, the comments he gets are good too: ua-cam.com/video/-M6UTXmi7Ao/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
😂 yeah theyre done alright. Smh.
They certainly have degraded. Done? It’s a bit hyperbolic yes but I do believe they will end up something like the Roman Empire. The empire fell but Italians still exist. I just hope they can course correct because they truly are an industry leader. What do you think brother? -Brandon 🫡
This music is too high
Hey brother thanks for letting me know and I apologize for that. A few others have let me know and in future videos I’ll only have a little intro music and then it will just be me talking. Or would you prefer some low background music?

@A-BombEnergy other than that, the content is awesome 👌🏼 👏
Thanks brother 😁🤙
Cool. Got the pin.
Shows how much criticism you can take.
Dude. I have a 2020 Tacoma SR that you are talking about. The costs check out, but here's where you are wrong. It was also assembled in Mexico, so why would the price be any different? You sound like Trump, showing your disdain of Mexicans when it comes to where Toyota wants to have their manufacturing plants. You know Canada, where the assembly plants used to be isn't in the US either.
Did you listen to the video? I said they have been making them in Mexico since 2004. And sorry I want Americans to be employed and because they build better quality. You sound like an anti American. Get back to me when you’ve actually sacrificed something for America. Have the day you deserve. -Brandon🫡
@@A-BombEnergy I am a Veteran and voted for Trump when the election was stolen. Ah, yes American politics where it's those who count the votes who decide who "leads" the nation of "freedom." That was the only thing I didn't like about him because of his stupid idea of tariffs only when it comes to his hatred of Mexico.
I read that you are a fan of Jeep, so coming from someone who likes Chrysler products, I don't care what you have to say. I used to be a Ford fan, but there's no way I am buying a truck for $50,000. GM makes terrible vehicles that will run through drivetrains. The big three all have problems, and I don't need or want any of them.
Look man, I’m going to be as real as possible with you. You being a veteran doesn’t grant you immunity to come here and use me as a punching bag. However, thanks for your sacrifice. No matter how much time you did, you still served. Second, you started this and are continuing to throw mud without knowing how I actually feel about Jeep. Hint, i did a video on them. So get back to me when you are done slinging mud. Understand your operational environment and audience before you come off like this. It’s not a good look. Have a great Sunday and drink one for me. -Brandon
only reason its not made in Japan price no 1 cuts cost of 1 thing BUT THERE GOING TO CUT CUT COSTS ANT EVERY STAGE OF PRODUCTION AND QC HAS DEFO GONE DOWN LOOK AT THE LIST OF ISSUES GR YARIS FIRES AND COVER UP ROD KNOCK IT WAS ONCE THE BEST IT ISNT ANYMORE STILL NOT AS BAD AS FORD THO
