    Hello as a 15 year old your content has taught me about the importance of the costumers, I think your channel is very underrated I find it upsetting that this happens to people who have this much talent and still are not seen by many people on UA-cam. I can’t wait to see you grow over the years keep it up man!

      Hey brother, good to see you again. Yes, customers are critical in any industry. As you get older and especially when you have seen what good customer service looks like, dude...you begin to ask yourself why that's not the standard. You see it from time to time at restaurants for example.
      I appreciate your support my friend, the channel will grow. The UA-cam algorithm is probably still trying to figure out where this channel would be most successful and will eventually push it out to the right people. I look forward to growing the channel with you brother. -Brandon

    Shoutout to the Chevy Sonic, I bought the hatchback because my uncle had one and I loved the look. I wanted something different, it’s hard to get hatchback these days. Definitely had to do some work on it, my AC system leaked so bad I had to get the lines replaced and my cooling system had to have a lot of things replaced.
    I think I find myself slightly odd one out because while I did go through mechanical engineering in my undergrad and hung out with lots of car people the vehicles themselves meant very little to me. It’s all the stuff surrounding the actual driving experience I care about.
    So it’s kinda funny because I worked with lots of electrical motors while making drones but I’m the engineer who cares about the social aspect.

    You're spot on about being narrow minded. I've grown weary with all these channels that only focus on exotics, imports, and super cars. To most people, that's the only part of car culture they'll ever be exposed to. It's a shame, as there are many other aspects of cars, from off-roading to stance to JDM to trophy truck racing to drag racing to classics.
    Additionally, elitists think that they have to have the best of everything. I'm the exact opposite. My Cherokee has a 3 inch lift, 31s, and dual open diffs. I'm perfectly happy with it. The only things I'm changing is a rear spring replacement and lower gears. Even at 21, I can outmaneuver just about any overblown Wrangler on most any trail nearby. I'm of the mindset that I should spend the least amount of money to achieve my goals. It's not about having the best tool, it's about having the right tool for the job.

    Don't lie! You killed that course Mr. Modest, LOL! And you did it with kick @$$ hair! Looks kinda like mine🤣😂🤣! Don't hate me I'm binge watching your videos, hitting the thumbs up and commenting to trigger the algorithm along the way! Gotta get those numbers up dang it! Seriously though, you have great content with much needed info that the people need to know. I worked at a rock quarry keeping the tweekers from stealing the batteries and other valuables that weren't nailed down. Every morning the first guy to show up drove a box stock 1979 Wrangler that he bought brand new. He told me he was there to turn on the lights and get the coffee started but he wasn't fooling me. I suspected he was the top dog there and one night I took it upon myself to write up a report detailing all the security issues and what needed to be done to address them. I showed it to him and it turned out I was right. He was very impressed and he was amazed someone knew what initiative is, let alone act on it, LOL. But my boss hated me so much simply outta jealousy because everything I touched there turned to gold. Being I was essentially only days old in the industry there was no way I could be as good as I am. I even quelled an entire mob of angry moms because the school their kids went to found traces of lead in the water and didn't tell them for over two weeks. That story broke national headlines in May of 2016. The school admin saw me do that and told my boss, my boss thanked me by cutting my salary, but HR softened the blow and got most of it back and put me in a patrol car my 5th week in.
    You have an altruistic mindset there Brandon, and I can promise you from my own experience in that endeavor that the universe will repay your kindness in incredible ways you can't even imagine. When it came around to thank me it was in a way that an entire community was affected by it in a positive way. It was simply incredible, I want to say magical even. Just thinking about it lifts me and saddens me at the same time because what I felt during that time will probably never happen again and it hurts. But I will never be sad that it happened, if everyone got to experience something like that, the world couldn't help but be a better place.But one of my philosophies is this, "Suffering is to life what the fire is to the forge". I know that resonates with you too having put yourself through that fire. Congratulations, you are now tempered steel my friend.💯💪

      That was definitely the hardest course I've ever done and probably the hardest thing I've ever done in my entire life. Apparently they've made the course even harder. So I feel for the dudes going through it right now. and I'm glad you are binge watching my videos that means a lot to me. It definitely takes a long time to write the script and edit, but I enjoy every moment of it. Especially when people like you really enjoy it. I appreciate you doing all the commenting too because some of the new videos haven't done as well as I thought they would for some reason.
      That's an awesome story about working at the rock quarry. Something that I find in our culture that is starting to frustrate me more and more is the lack of initiative and hard work by people. I'm not sure what happened, but I hope this channel will have some sort of impact on that and bring back the idea of critical thinking and deductive reasoning. Yes this is a business channel for me but I am the boss of this business and I can do what I want with the channel 🤣. I'm a big believer in giving as much as you possibly can in the universe will take care of the rest.
      I really appreciate you telling me I have an altruistic mindset, I have always been this way for the most part and whenever I have deviated from it, it just feels wrong. I am a big believer in the Law of Attraction and have been practicing visualization everyday. I'm still new to the whole concept, but it sounds like you know a lot more than I do about it. have a couple books on the subject right now and they are helping me through the process. Always open to other resources, though if you have them. What happened with your experience that made the universe give back in such a way that has affected you like this?
      I am a big believer in suffering. Its where you find out who you really are and what you are made of. Luckily, the military did that for me and I am at the point where I am ready to become a civilian. Friends of mine in business have been telling me for years to get out and do editing and business full time. I think the time has come.
      You can always hit me up on IG and Facebook too brother, sounds like me and you are a lot alike. Forgive my pedestrian level of knowledge on those platforms, I haven't had social media until late lol -Brandon

    On the subject of Ford.
    Ford has had some really bad cars, their duel clutch transmission in their Focus and Fiesta has been a nightmare. The 3 Valve V8s in some Ford trucks and SUVs and even the triton V8 are some of the most hated engines in the world, probably the only one hated more is the Northstar V8 in the Cadillac, they break and cost tons of money to fix. Their eco boost engines sleeves cracking and causing issues. And don't get me started with the diesel engines... the 7.3 International was the last good Diesel engine Ford had, the rest of them have been junk.
    But out of any small truck, the late 90s to 2000s Ford Ranger, the best small truck ever maybe aside from a Toyota, it is what a truck is supposed to be in a small package. the Ford Escort from the 80s to 2000s one of the best small cars ever, my moms old 84 Ford Escort was such a awesome car, she drove it until it had no oil pressure, sold it to someone who beat it relentlessly for a week straight, and then it died. The older F series trucks... tough as nails! There is a reason people are loyal to Fords! I mean all I have to say is Model T, that's how Fords used to be.

    • @A-BombEnergy
      @A-BombEnergy  5 місяців тому

      Yeah, those transmissions were terrible in the focus in fiesta. I rented one when they first came out and I thought the clutch was slipping and called the rental agency and they told me it's supposed to do that. I remember laughing because who designs transmission to feel as if it's slipping. I think Ford has really nailed it with the coyote engine, but other than that, I don't know if they can really improve on any other platform. I know some people like the eco-boost, but I cannot stand it. I've personally had bad experiences with it, and I have friends that had bad experiences too.
      And those 90s and 2000s Ford rangers were incredible. A friend of mine had a five speed ranger and that thing lasted 200,000 miles. When it should've only lasted 50,000 miles because of how he treated it. Ford has really slipped up lately and I fear it's only going to get worse. I certainly hope not because they are one of the last holdouts for being an American brand, but they are definitely shedding the stars and stripes. -Brandon

    To contrast the Chevy owner's story: I daily a 2018 Subaru Forester, 6MT, 88K miles. In 6 years, it has had both rear wheel bearings replaced, and the AC recharged. Less than $1k in repairs. This doesn't include consumables (oil, wheels, brakes). That's ~$14 a month in repairs. I get 27.5 mpg year round average with non-economically Crossclimate2 tires. I attribute the wheel bearings to the four seasons and salted roads we have here in Cleveland Ohio. The Japanese know how to make a vehicle.

    • @A-BombEnergy
      @A-BombEnergy  5 місяців тому

      Wow, that's pretty pretty wild. Have never heard of wheel bearings going out so quickly, but I guess it makes sense living in the salt belt or the rust belt as they say. $14 a month though was not terrible if you put it that way. I definitely agree that Japanese manufactures make the most reliable vehicles, I'll probably never own one because they just don't do it for me, but I massively respect the companies and the people who purchased them. I'm surprised you haven't told me that. I look like Johnny Manziel yet since you are from Cleveland lol. -Brandon

      @OutsideTheTargetDemographic 5 місяців тому

      @@A-BombEnergy The first wheel bearing went at 47k miles, the second at 80k. Not....confidence inspiring, but it ISN'T a transmission , isn't an engine, isn't electrical, isn't isn't isn't. It IS something I could do in my driveway,which I will be doing now since the new ones are in now. I found it odd that the FRONT WB didn't go. Ignorant me would assume the stearing, engine weight, first-to-hit-potholes front bearings would be the first to go....🤔...
      It doesn't tickle my pickle, or get me chicks, but then I'm married, with two kids, and move the things, so it does what I need it to. 👍

      91F is a great job. I love working with guns (except the mk19). None of them are the exact same due to different wear and tear. It makes the job require a good eye and its fun concentrating like that. We are also very busy cause for whatever reason MP companies treat their guns like trash. I respect anyone who maintains and keeps a car clean. I also went to Mexico and in a span of 3 hour drive I passed factories of every brand. As for BMW I think the brand gets a bad reputation from the drivers (not all) commonly they don’t signal and always drive aggressive. Tesla fanboys though are brand elitist like no other. How was visiting Japan? I’ve only been to the military bases there during transits overseas so I haven’t experienced it fully. I’ve seen videos online where even people who are sweeping the streets take immense pride in it. It’s honestly one of the reasons they make vehicles that last the longest. And Marty was right in back to the future.
      BMW is definitely interesting. my BMW is made in Mexico, which I don’t like apparently BMW has been super strict on that plant so I hope that means quality is happening. Most of the BMWs made in the United States are made in South Carolina. Some Germany too.
      I’m heading back to Europe in September so I’m gonna try to hit the BMW museum, Mercedes museum and Porsche Museum. I’ll get some really good footage for you guys to show the pride of German cars. -Brandon

    Thank you for introducing me to Fast Lane cars! Their AWD system test are super informative. But the Golf (manual) vs Mustang (automatic) race was unfair.
    Speaking of race reviews: as much as I value Jason Cammisa's takes, his Cybertruck review and emphasis on quarter mile times as the metric of performance (as opposed to lap times, which thankfully he also does) disappoint me. I get that Hagerty wants to do pre-release reviews, and, well, let's not get into EVs for now.
    Engineering Explained and Driving 4 Answers are my favorite car channels.

      @A-BombEnergy  5 місяців тому

      The fast lane car is probably the best UA-cam channel out there for cars. I have been watching them for over 10 years and I've learned so much. Roman is definitely the best one on that show and his son Tommy is really good with jeeps.
      EV's are really interesting and there seems to be a polarization in the car community for some reason on them. Which I have ideas where that's coming from but that's for another time. Personally, I think multiple systems of propulsion on the market is only going to increase competition, which is good. What are your thoughts on that?

    I don’t typically comment on UA-cam videos, but your video raises such an interesting point that I have to weigh in on it. In terms of factors that contribute to profit loss for American car companies, would you say that federal taxes have anything to do with it?

    • @A-BombEnergy
      @A-BombEnergy  5 місяців тому

      Hey brother, thank you for commenting, especially since its not your normal thing. I am honored. I would say yes, federal taxes have a major impact. Taxes are actually a relatively new thing for the United States, barely 100 years old and it was supposed to be temporary. I can't imagine the capabilities companies would have if they weren't hit hard with so many taxes and fees. An easy one is the fines they have to pay for not meeting CAFE standards. Its highly unethical because not only do manufacturers do horrible things to squeeze every MPG out of car, it also causes it to break quicker, i.e., cylinder deactivation or turbos. This is then passed off onto the consumer. People can argue that CAFE fines are not taxes, but in reality, they are absolutely a tax.
      The end result is people don't buy from American brands and thus move to foreign brands. I am a shining example of this. I was a hard charger for American brands but ever since quality has gone down because of CAFE fines and other factors, I have switched.
      I hope this answers your question my friend. If you need further clarification or any resources, I would be happy to drop some for you. -Brandon 🫡

      @@A-BombEnergyThank you for your insight! It’s really interesting to see the different forms that taxes take, and how their nomenclature determines how we perceive them! Btw, as a fellow BMW owner kudos to you and your m340i! For the longest time I’ve been quite elitist towards non M cars, but time has made me realize the importance of the base model car, and how good it has to be if the m model is based off of it. To be fair though, BMW has been putting way too many m badges on their normal cars!

    • @A-BombEnergy
      @A-BombEnergy  5 місяців тому

      Yes, it is VERY interesting to me...its almost like a shell game. I am glad to have a fellow BMW owner on the channel. I never understood the lure of them until I rented them in Germany. Fell in love immediately. And yes, BWM has devalued the M badge from time to time. Its just a way to market now at this point. While I LOVE my M340i, next BMW will be an M3 or M4 because to me thats a TRUE M performance car. I will say though...that M340i is a monster. What kind of BMW's do you have my friend? -Brandon

      @@A-BombEnergyGlad you asked! I have a 2011 m3 that I bought brand new! I honestly think it’s better than bmw’s current offerings due to its superior build quality and f1 derived, naturally aspirated v8. Speaking of M cars, which specific M car are you after? I think bmw’s older offerings have more to give. What about you?

      Man I love that M3 you have, its so beautiful and I would lose my mind on the road if I had that! I am really happy for you brother. I personally love all the BMW models, there are pros and cons. In some ways, the build quality is better in the older models but the newer models are more creature comfort oriented. I have been looking at early 2000's M3's. I love the look of them and they come in manuals. I do like the new ones too but I need be a littler smarter with my finances 🤣. You should do some videos on your BMWs bro, I will always watch. -Brandon

    You had me right up to blaming the UAW. Are there issues. Sure. If you believe the union is the issue when companies like Ford put everything into electric F150s or Mustang MachE (whatever the f that is) that is shortsighted.

    On the subject of elitism
    Drive what you want, if you want to drive a BMW you do you, BMW made some of the coolest cars. On top of that they made some kick ass airplane engines. The FW-190 was powered by a BMW-801 Radial engine!
    Part of the reason why we are in where we are in, is we blame the owner for cars being junk, and make fun of them for liking a brand they used to love. BMW For example used to be one of those super reliable German brands, but now its overpriced garbage. They may still have a fondness for their own BMW they used to love. We should be standing together and standing against all the things going on with auto makers. Cars need to be affordable again, and they need to be of decent quality, it's also time to start standing up against what the government is doing, because the difference between a free country where people can own a car, and a dictatorship where the people are property, is quite often the people stood up and said we aren't property.
    Until people stand together, and stand up, nothing is going to change, and nothing is going to get better. We have gone from buying the product we can own, to being the product someone owns.

    • @A-BombEnergy
      @A-BombEnergy  5 місяців тому

      Yeah, it's wild and the car community but it's also another communities as well. car community seems to be the least full of elitist. Most people that I find that don't like BMWs have also never driven a BMW. and most owners of BMWs understand the cost of owning a BMW and if they don't find out real quick, lol.
      I really wish cars could be affordable again too. If you just look at the sedan market, it's crazy because there's only one car that's under $20,000. Nissan versa. And they are starting to phase out now. Totally agree on standing together, brother. It's the only way any sort of impactful change is going to happen. It's always a pleasure reading your comments and I hope your week is going well. -Brandon
