JPJ is to Zeppelin what Frusciante is to RHCP. Paige and Plant get all of the admiration and attention just as Kiedis and Flea do with the Chili Peppers, but it's Jones and Frusciante who make the true magic.

Damn John Paul Jones was really a backbone of the Zeppelin . This guy is not from this planet . Those Bass lines are unbelievable, unmatchable, so haunting and beautiful

OMG does it get more bad ass than this? John is dead but his son is not, how bad ass is his son for doing this and reuniting the greatness. I cry when I see this. Its mean a lot to me

This gives me chills, thinking back to the time, Robert had to introduce "a number called Dazed and Confused" to a group of danish teens, obliviously watching the Mona Lisa of Rock being painted a few feet away from them. Seeing Robert introduce it again, 38 years after... Wow!

I truly believe jimmy page sold his soul for fortune and fame because these guys truly blow....were there a few descent tunes, meh.....but jimmy plagiarized those ones and id rather listen to crickets fuck than this over inflated wind bag

There has never been and there never can be a band like this again. Jimmy page had the hand of God over him when he formed this band. He knew who John Paul Jones was, but he had no clue who Robert Plant or John Bonham was. As I said, the hand of God was over him. They say that each bandmember played a 25% sum total role in this band. I have to give about 40% of that to John Paul Jones. He was the icing on top of the Led Zeppelin cake. He was the most formally educated musician in that group. His multi instrumental ability is what put that group over the top. His classical slant on music put Zepplin in a league of its own.…

People always comment on Page Plant and Bonzo ( I know this isn’t him ) but nobody ever gives the great JPJ the undoubted credit he deserves. Always in the background holding it together. Without him the Zep sound wouldn’t be the same !! It’s not just a matter of plucking some fat strings - it’s musicianship. And remember he can play so many different instruments including playing the bass and organ simultaneously!!!!!

Jason's good, but this makes me wonder just how far the Mighty Zeppelin could have gone had John Bonham survived.

This is why Jimmy pages my favorite guitar player. There are people better than him technically, there’s kids on UA-cam. They could play circles around him, but those kids don’t write the songs that he does and have the arrangements that differ so greatly from Misty Mountain hop to this song here to hot dog to rock ‘n’roll to tea for one… or” that’s the way” He doesn’t just play one way think about battle of evermore how far away from that is celebration day ?? He’s an interesting composer to say the least
