Lovely art, I'm a fan of the sound effects while sharpening hahah For Pan Pastels, you should absolutely try using makeup brushes with them. You can use super cheap synthetic ones! For blending and light layers you can use a blush or blending brush; for packing color, you have these densely packed foundation brushes that have like a weird handle (buffer brush?), and you can even use eyeliner or pencil eyeshadow brushes for small details. I made a portrait using them and I loved the result :D

Thank you so much for this video! I love it! Before your videos on PanPastels, I was really unsure about them, but seeing you use them this way encouraged me to order some. I love your illustrations! (all of them!) I don't know if it will actually work, but today I watched a video of someone using paintbrushes with them. They were using non-synthetic fibre, so I don't know if synthetic would work as well. But, if it does do the thing, it would be pretty exciting!

“its hard to keep people attention with color pencil and a mean troll said i sound drunk” meanwhile im lik 👁️ 👄👁️ for 11+ mins bc i had enough stimulation to jump from color palette to texture to shape to ur thoughts to ur tangents to ur few good instructions to your stumbling over things i understand but also cant describe it back to u for u to understand then back to the pretty colors again 😂 this vid was talented chaotic confusing at times definitely full of teaching content most not verbally given😂but i appreciate the effort and definitely not boring at all. u hav managed to get me interested in drawing again without the overwhelming feeling of why bother ill never be able to tht good bc u showed tht even the best sometimes go in unsure and off course then gotta improvise n when in doubt u said “oh i can use an eraser” n then you soared and created the best frog 🐸 ever

I have the pan pastels that I purchased as a local art store was going out of business (I’m feeling like art stores are going the way of the dinosaur 😢) but haven’t done anything with them.
