I loved seeing the chaos, kind of wished we got to see all of it (thought I understand some might be personal). I know you called the not-recorded parts irrelevant, but I disagree, random unpolished stuff is what sketchbooks should be, and it was nice to get a glimpse into your creative process, so thank you :)

I love how genuine and real you are- I stopped watching a lot of sketchbook tours because I can't ever relate, they are so polished, perfectly planned and manicured that it makes me feel like crap about my sketchbooks lol I love your work, keep it up! 👻
I tend to be critical of my own art, but I think it's important not to be too hard on yourself. I enjoy seeing incomplete or not-so-great art just as much as I do good art. We need more authentic sketchbook tours that feature all kinds of art, not just perfectly finished pieces that take hours to create. All art has value, and even your art you may consider "bad" is still wonderful.
If you haven't seem them, Chris Hong's sketchbook tours are a gem.

I really love these sketchbooks!! I feel like most of the time when i watch sketchbook tours it’s always fully finished drawings on all the pages, which there’s nothing wrong with that to be clear. I just think its really refreshing to see a sketch book that looks similar to mine and I know I shouldn’t be comparing my sketchbooks to others people when they are further along in the art journey then I am but it is something I definitely do. I really do love all of your artworks very much!

I found myself laughing really hard over your reaction to some of the drawings you didn't like 😂 when I actually thought they were quite creative. And I do have to agree that fall is by far the superior season 🎃🍂

I understand the feeling of hating some of the things you created, I feel that way about most of my stuff. BUT! You need every one of those little misfit sketches because that’s growth! That’s the practice to get those beautiful finished creations!

All the things you like to draw/paint such as mushrooms, snails, rats etc hit exactly that sweet art spot in my brain 😌 And the way you colour is just sooo pleasing to the eye! I was disappointed when the video ended lol, now I need to watch some older ones to get that art high 😂

My sketchbooks are so crazy. I have days where i draw so shit and days where i draw like a professional, but my sketchbooks are not even NEARLY as cute as yours. I LOVE your art. Its all so cute and like unique.

It's funny how you call your stuff chaotic or half used pages or stupid and yet, I've never felt more seen!
I too have soooo many sketch books that are half filled, half started, one little drawing here, I moved on from a sketch there and yet, I'm watching your work and thinking, jesus.... its me all over!
And honestly, it's comforting to know that I'm not the only one who does this as I got so much shit growing up from my art teachers and my dad for always "wasting space".

If it helps the analysis paralysis, I think perhaps you should finish the drawing at 6:30 with marker and pencil to keep the finish consistent with the other tiny hero pieces you’ve done? Can’t help you with deciding on the Bigfoot piece though 😊

Edit: finished watching I actually really wish you’d be kinder to yourself, I love the sarcasm and relatability bc yeah we do hate our own work sometimes and we are our own worst critics (and maybe it’s part of a bit idk) but it still makes me sad to hear when other artists put down their work too much. I love seeing pieces that are considered failures bc you always learn something from them and I’m glad you chose to show them!

(6:33) If you don’t know what medium to use with your unfinished pieces, use them all 😅 treat it like a sketchbook and go ham on it. Like say the stone wall could be gouache and the background behind the hero could be marker and all the foreground could be colored pencils

I love your art style. It’s very Disney and would make great entertainment for children. I’m working on a comic with similar colorful neon inspiration but with adult themes about politics. Might get me killed but the art must be done. Would love a comic about red ridding hood wins in the end and glad your working on it.

I also treat my stickers like little sacred gems and never want to stick them on stuff so…! I got a clear iPad case and put my stickers in it (without sticking them) and I make a collage out of them and that’s my iPad case! And it’s easy to change them out for different seasons etc! It’s a great way to display your sticker collection without ruining them!
Also I use removable scotch tape on their backs to keep them in place so they don’t slide around, if that makes sense.
Oh that I such a good idea!! I do put them on my iPad case cus I know I will be using it for a long time😁

May I ask what kind of printer do you use to print your work? I have difficulty to to find a printer that actually take thick papers (200-300gsm, 100-140lb) watercolor paper or mixed media. Thank you, your sketch is so unique and beautiful.

29:50 I have the same skechbook (second time using it) and sadly it doesn't take gouache... It doesn't absorb whatsoever, which is good for marker, but not for gouache. The paint stays there and it gets all ugly and weird.
