MJF was the reason to watch AEW until they made him champion. They blew his momentum and made him garbage just like everyone else. They have no idea how to book a show. They have no idea how to get guys over. They have no idea how to do anything.

Why are people saying this promotion is terrible?

Aew has lots I would like fixed or changed....especially in production, story pacing, and introduction of new characters from other companies. But this is just the cool thing to do for content at this point lmao. Everyone in their mama has a "downfall of AEW doc" dropping this week.....this is like the 4th 45min long one on my timeline this week lol.

For me I dont mind Okada doing comedy I think its funny. The issue I have is that Okada isnt a big deal, he's the Contential Champion but that belt doesnt really mean anything since it's not a triple crown title anymore. It's just another belt on the show that doesnt mean anything

The title of this video is wrong. Most AEW fans have no issue with wha is presented in AEW and how stories are told. The issue lies more in how AEW isn't catering to fans outside of the promotion who have little idea who the wrestlers on rosta are and what they're about.

There really are people out there that dont realize that by selling less tickets and having nearly 40% less people watching on tv means that AEW fans are the ones saying "we dont want to watch". You cant even blame WWE for that because in the same time AEW has lost 300,000-400,000 viewers, WWE hasn't gained 300,000-400,000 viewers. People literally just stopped watching.

It's simple. Tony needs to step away from creative and talent management. That's the obvious fix.

Good video. If I had to push back on anything I'd say its the notion that WWE is a good show while AEW is a bad show. AEW is 3/10 unwatchable television. WWE is 5/10 barely watchable television. I think both companies have a ton of problems right now. Look at HHH's booking of the womens divisions and all three tag divisions since Mania and tell me that's good television...yet this makes up about 2 of every 5 hours of weekly tv segments. Its not like he's hitting home runs with the mens divisions either. Bloodline has its high moments but he's not developed bad bloodline as characters at all. Judgment Day are a stale act and have been for a while. Liv vs Rhea has gone on months past its peak. Cody's title run has been lackluster. SD's midcard mens division have mostly been thrown together. Now we're talking about what...85% of the 5 hours of weekly tv being of questionable quality? This is all without getting into how hard WWE is to watch with its bloated amounts of ads during the program and cutting into segments. Regular wrestling viewers are used to this and take it for granted...but if you tried to watch SNME as though you were a new viewer of the program it was a terrible experience. There is a staggering amount of room for improvement for both companies. Regarding the ending questions....yes AEW will survive. They aren't a publicly traded company and TK is worth billions. This is a box of toys for him. It could earn zero revenue and he could sustain it for the rest of his life off his existing income. This business being profitable is completely optional. As long as TK maintains a personal interest in wrestling I'd expect AEW to go the way of TNA and stick around for decades.

Most of your points have been fixed by now. many of the stories have been compelling since last summer. They run smaller arenas to bring back the old vibes and they haven't lost those great matches. They just need to attract casuals who stopped watching when Punk left, and hire people who understand marketing and how to use social media and to do some production improvements

I don't have the ability to watch any wrestling, but with WWE I can follow along because they put their promos on UA-cam. From what I can follow with wrestling news, the AEW stories resemble the stop start booking of 2019 era WWE; the elite were supposed to be targeting Tony Khan and the company, oh wait not anymore now it's the death riders. Ar least if they put their promos online people can follow along and maybe get interested. Tony needs to completely separate ROH & AEW, no more ROH guys on AEW programming!! TK needs to hire a Booker for ROH, stop putting any effort into it himself and make it developmental. Stick to long-term storytelling and have backup story lines, in case someone gets injured; This Adam Cole - MJF feud where they switched the face / heel dynamic is just ludicrous.

Problem is Tony, starts and ends with him. Trust in talent is earned, not one of them should be booking their storylines. Moxley and Mone are utterly delusional on what fans want.

Ever since Punk was fired, they quickly lost their audience to the point where hardly anybody watches AEW anymore. This promotion would have already gone out of business If not for Tony's dad Shad Khan and his money to keep it afloat.

I think out of all the points on the list, the Okada one hurts me the most. I fucking loved Okada in Japan. The man was regarded as a wrestling hero (or even god) in his home country. Seeing him reduced to a comedic upper-mid card act is really depressing and just makes me want to tune out of AEW at times.

Look Sammy is an amazing character but Tony DECIDES TO PUT HIM IN A TAG TEAM WITH DUSTIN RHODES IS SOOOOO CONFUSING. WHAT MAKES IT WORSE IS THAT THEY GAVE SAMMY AND DUSTIN THE TAG TITLES AFTER WHAT, 1 TAG TEAM MATCH (I think) AND THEN THEY BRING THEY BRING KEVIN VON ERICH'S CHILDREN INTO THE PICTURE WHICH IS JUST A WHY QUESTION. I think a big part of the problem is, when Khan actually let's people have creative control and freedom to do their own thing and try something new, he gives it to the wrong people. Mox, Mone, and Jericho have all been terrible handling their own creative. It's at a point where I don't think they can course correct because Khan would have to bring in external help to run creative, and there are too many people embedded in power positions who aren't going to give up their creative control.

AEW failed by having a owner that's a fan boy for the talent and allow that same talent to run the company... Too many wrestlers have creative control, basically letting the inmates run the asylum just like WCW in it's dying days
