Saludos, si el switch off, run, start(choke) te abre y te cierra la válvula de gasolina. Póngalo en off y la válvula de gasolina estará cerrada. Lo pone en run o start y la válvula de gasolina estará abierta.

La otra manguita es por donde sale el exceso de gasolina en el caso de que la aguja de la boya no funcione como debe ya sea por que esta sucia o dañada. La aguja previene que se sobre llene el bowl de gasolina. Si se sobrellena entonces se sale por esa manga para prevenir que te inunde el generador.

Saludos, todo depende de la carga que le tengas conectada y de cuan grande es el tanque de gas propano. Por ejemplo un tanque de 20lbs puede que el generador te dure 12 horas a una carga máxima. Con el tanque de gasolina de 1 galón una carga máxima el generador puede que te dure unas 8.

Si el motor está corriendo sin problema verifique que un raton no le haya comido la cableria en el modulo inverter.

Una buena limpieza de carburador para que vuelva a prender

Placas solares es tremenda opción en PR pero el generador no debe faltar

Verifique que el la malla en el muffler no esté tapada de carbón negro. También verifique que el spark plug no esté cubierto de carbón. Si están tapados el generador pierde fuerzas.

Me pasó lo mismo, lo compré para el a/c portátil de un bote( por q esta es mas silenciosa )y cdo pega el compresor se va a Overload, sin embargo con una Generac de la misma capacidad ( pero un tanto mas ruidosa) trabajaba al 100%

Es exactamente lo que me está pasando, funciona bien hasta que le conecto la nevera, ahí se va over load

All liquid cooled and air cooled generators will need some sort of block heater (inline coolant heater, oil pan heater, dipstick heater, oil filter warmer etc.) to keep the generator warm and ready to go at temperatures under 32F. So it doesn’t matter what brand of size generator you looking for, make sure it has a working block heater (or cold weather kit) during cold weathers. As far as the weekly test you are correct. The problem occurred during it’s weekly test, that’s how the store found out and gave me a call.

Your guess is correct, your generator’s main jet is definitely clogged. Pull the carburetor out, give it a good clean and your generator will be running like new.

To remove the carburetor you will need to remove the black air box which has 1 uncomfortable bolt in the bottom back of the box and two nuts in the front of the carburetor (one is inside the air box the other one is outside). Once you remove the air box you can slide forward the carburetor, remove the throttle linkage and spring and remove the fuel line (make sure the fuel valve is off).

Yo are correct, it can be a pain to remove that particular screw. I use a screwdriver and go in at an angle. With some generators I use a 1/4” ratchet with a 1/4” socket and a Phillips bit.

Does the spark plug has the correct gap?

@@KingTheDetailer the spark plug should be gapped at .8mm or 0.030in. Make sure you have gas in the tank, make sure the carburetor is completely clean and the spark arrester is not clogged.

@@tacticalpowerpro yeah I have a feeling it probably gonna be the carborator but I'm gonna go ahead and change the spark plug again and get a new filter . What spark plug do you recommend?

Saludos! Primero asegúrate que en realidad no la estés sobrecargado con lo que le estas conectando. Lo otro sería verificar que no haya conexiones sueltas en especial desde el modulo al circuit breaker y receptáculos que causen un arco con la vibración del generador y se proteja tirando el overload. Si todo eso esta bien pues entonces el módulo inverter esta malito.

A few things. Verify carburetor gaskets are good and placed in the correct spot. Verify the plastic spacer between the carburetor and the engine block is not cracked. Make sure the carburetor is secured (both nuts are nice and tight). Make sure fuel flow to the carburetor is good and not restricted. Make sure you have fresh fuel and not old bad fuel in the tank. Gap your spark plug to the correct gap. Or you have a bad new carburetor, It has happened to me before specially with the cheap Chinese carbs (give the new carb a clean)

@@alvinbihms9629 Hey, you can check the battery charger output or status at the controller but you will need the "dealer" access code. --> ESC, UP, UP, ESC, DOWN, UP, ESCAPE, UP, ENTER.

Hello! Of course I can help you out. Did you clean the main jet and the float needle inside the carburetor?

Also, if the gasoline is coming out the inverter you might either have the carburetor fuel drain screw open, the float needle is stuck or a cracked fuel hose.

As I mentioned before, when I took the inverter out of the box, I turned it on for about 15 minutes in 2019, and from there, I put it away. Yesterday (01/08/2024) I decided to turn it on and it didn't turn on and I found a puddle of gasoline under the inverter. Today I tried it again and surprise, it turned on for about 8 seconds but I it ran out of gas since I hadn't added more. (By the way, the carburetor fuel drain screw is not open) Since I am not mechanically oriented, I am going to open it and use common sense, I am going to follow the course that the gasoline takes from the tank to the carburetor to see if I see a leak, I assume that perhaps the fuel has degraded a hose or joint that bring the gasoline to the carburetor. I hope it works and thanks for your help. (Out of curiosity, do you have a video "How to repair a Ryobi inverter electric generator" in Spanish, do you speak Spanish?) 😃😃😃

@@miguelalt8855 hi Miguel, if the generator was not turned on since 2019 yo most likely have a stuck carburetor float needle. My latest videos shows what to look for in that situation. I do have a few videos en español. I was born and raised in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Moved to the United States in 2013 when I joined the Air Force but after 10 years I moved back to the island. Do you speak Spanish as well?

@@tacticalpowerpro Yes, I do. I am from Colombia but I came to the United States many years ago. I used to work on an Italian cruise ship and I used to go at least once a month to Puerto Rico, beautiful country and good food. Regarding the fuel leak, initially, I asked my son to put gasoline in it and I think he spilled it, I checked since yesterday and the inverter does not leak, so that is not a problem anymore. I drained the carburetor and the first fuel that came out was somewhat greenish, since then I have filled it and drain it 3 more times. I was able to start it few times for few seconds which is encouraging; a friend suggested putting in injector and carburetor cleaner or something similar, he thinks that might help to clean it. That is my next step. Thanks again Tactical P P and I will continue watching your videos, I have learned a lot so far.

@@tacticalpowerpro there was a small spring left over after install. Not sure what it’s supposed to go to. Thr throttle / choke spring is still on the line.

@@dillonschneider6862 send me a picture of the spring to my IG message Tacticalpowerpro. Once I see the spring I’ll be able to identify it. The choke spring (long spring) is different to the throttle spring (tiny spring).

You will have to remove the two screws on top of the tank, remove the back grill and the front. Remove the two wheels and undo the bottom bolts. The side panel should be free to remove.

Hi, error code 1603 is the underspeed fault. This code appears when the engine never comes up to 3600 rpm. I will recommend checking the fuel selection and fuel supply.

What piece are you referring to? The mixer assembly or the stepper motor?

Saludos, yo utilizo el aditivo, tratamiento de motor SeaFoam. Te extiende la vida de la gasolina mas te mantiene el carburador limpio cada vez que utilices el generador.

No, the way the fuel valve on these Ai-power inverters (and other brands of similar size) work is they integrated the fuel valve, the choke and the ignition switch all together in one switch (the start, run, stop switch). So if you close the fuel valve at the same time it will ground the ignition switch turning the generator off. Hope I was able to explain it clearly.

@tacticalpowerpro just a thought could I install an aftermarket fuel valve in the line I ask because we have one being shipped ATM and would like to avoid as many problems as possible. Thank you for your time.

@@user-hy9pu6lb6t if you really need to yes, you can add an aftermarket fuel valve in the fuel line like you mentioned but it will be uncomfortable to open and close due to the tight space inside these small inverters.

@@user-hy9pu6lb6t use SeaFoam fuel treatment in your gasoline and start the generator at least once a month and you won’t have any issues.

True, I do use watt meters, but I already know the hair dryer is 1700w at the highest setting. So for these 1800w generators I test them close to their 95% load capacity.

Correct, the generator was stored inside a metal shed in the heat of Puerto Rico.
