Thanks! I first replaced the gas, then plug, cleaned carb then saw your vid and got a new module and it started! Your vid doesn't show how to access the ignition control, so watched another video that showed how to get off the side cover opposite the carb panel, a bit of work. Thanks again.
You will have to remove the two screws on top of the tank, remove the back grill and the front. Remove the two wheels and undo the bottom bolts. The side panel should be free to remove.
I have the same problem. I discovered that there is an oil leak where the wires for the low oil pressure sensor enter the engine, and the oil is telegraphing down the wire unto the ignition module. I'm wondering if some type of high temp sealant would help stop the leak.
Did you cleaned the connector that goes to the ignition control module? If it had oil, water or fuel on the connector it might have shorted out the new module. If the connector is clean and the module looks good then you might want to take a look at the ignition coil.
Where does the oil come from? Mine has the same problem and I found my ignition module covered in oil. Any ideas? My first thought was it running the oil level sensor wire but there’s not any oil in that connector.
From my experience, 90% of the time the oil comes from spilling or excess oil when overfilling the generator during oil changes. It’s hard to see and clean under the engine in that tight enclosure.
The only thing with that is the oil fill is on the opposite side of generator and the ignition module is the only thing with oil on it. It has me stumped.
I don’t have the part number but you can check the description box of this video. It has Amazon links to the module. In there you can find different modules that fit the Predator 3500.
Thanks! The generator only had around 40hrs, it barely had any use. After questioning the owner, it turns out someone change the oil and overfilled it by a lot. Reason of why the ignition control module was cover in oil.
Saludos Hector, gracias por ver mis videos. Verifique el audio y todo está funcionando perfectamente. Debió ser algún error de youtube, dele refresh e intenta otra vez. Déjeme saber si el audio le funcionó, gracias!
Thank you for taking time to post this video. I have a 3500 predator The issue with my generator is it was starting by pressing the button bit then it would not even take a little bit time to start by pressing the start button. Then it just completely went dead. The battery is good and the little screen doesn't turn on
I have uploaded another video with a similar issue on a predator. Someone replaced both parts and still had no spark. It turned out that the ignition coil was no installed correctly. But if you correctly replace both items and still no spark then check your oil level sensor (disconnect it and check for spark) or you just have a bad spark plug.
Thanks for watching my video. Glad you enjoyed the video and most important that it solved your issue. Please share the video with others that might like it lol
If there’s still no spark after you replaced the ignition module then your problem is the ignition coil (but try the simple items first, like, replacing the spark plug). I will be uploading a new video in a couple of days in which I show how to repair a Predator 3500 inverter that has a bad ignition coil. Look forward to it.

Thanks for watching my video, I’m glad it was helpful. Yes, I didn’t not recorded the side panel removal and it is kind of a pain.
How do you get the side pannal off on the pull string side?

Interesting, that could work 🤔 give it a try and let me know if it fixed the oil leak issue.
Replaced the control module. Started on first pull. Shut it down and tried to start it again and getting no spark again. New plug as well.

Thank You for information and advice
Will remember this
Always welcome and thanks for watching.

I have the same problem and am pretty sure that is exactly where the oil is coming from. I'm wondering if some kind of high temp sealant might help.
So what is the part # of the module and where do you get it

Nice video. How many hours are on that generator?

Brutal el video
Buen trabajo!!! Pero no tiene audio el video!!!

hey question what if i get no cranking when i Press the start button?? would that be the coil?
Thanks for the question. If you get no cranking when pressing the start button then your issue most likely is your battery or the battery fuse.

Do you know what this issue might be?
Is the battery brand new? If not, did you load tested the battery? Because it sounds like you have a bad battery.
Same here same problem
What if you replace both and still no spark?

Lmao. Love the video and thanks for my problem solved solution.

Wait I replaced that 6 months ago. But now I have the same thing
Did your ignition module had any signs of getting wet or oiled?
I just got my generator from a second opinion and they told me is the inverter model
Did all that, but still no spark/
