My family has one of these thats brand new, it has like an hour on the hour meter, but when we start it up, the overload light comes on, with nothing plugged in..
Verify you have the generator in the run position and that the spar arrester is not clogged with carbon buildup. If that is good probably a rodent got to the inverter module’s wiring or it got overload and fried the module within that hour of used.
If the other plugs work without issues then most likely it either has a bad 30 amp plug, a loose / broken wire to the 30 amp plug or a bad 30 amp circuit breaker before the plug.
Good info👍👍 I have the same generator with less than 70 hours on it. The digital display is messing up. Wont light up, sometimes flickers on and off and wont display numbers or change to the different displays when pushing the button. Also, not putting out full wattage, maybe half. It will not automatically restart my small air compressor when air pressure gets low. The compressor motor just hums and the Generator acts like it's way over overloaded. It used to do just fine. I cant find any info about these issues Any clue what these problems could be?
Thanks for watching my video! I can definitely help you out. #1 Make sure the carburetor is clean, #2 verify the spark arrester in is not clogged and #3 verify the spark plug is clean and has the right gap.
@@tacticalpowerpro thanks for the reply. It runs great, the issue is electric output under a medium or higher load and the digital display not working properly. It acts like a 1500 watt generator trying to handle 3000 watts, not enough wattage output to handle the load.
You can try calling Harbor freight, they will definitely tell you if they have it or where to find it. I normally get them through Amazon or eBay but they sell out fast, you got to keep an eye on them. I have a link in the description box for the inverter module but they are currently out of stock.
good video. using my generator I get 0 volts on the display but it appears to be working and running things properly. however I noticed last night that my cord’s LED is innovating neutral/hot reversed. any ideas ?
@@tacticalpowerpro im sorry... indicating* . the power cord had led lights that indicate reverse polarity and its showing neutral and hot are reversed.
Sadly I didn’t record that part because I didn’t have a camera stand at that time. It is uncomfortable to get the module out if you don’t remove the entire front. I did it without removing the entire front. You see how the front is dangling in the video? I just pushed the front aside and removed the module.

Thinking about picking up a 9500 watt used but she says the 30 amp plug isn’t working. Any idea what it might be
