Still stuck. I am looking to get into photography. Looking at R8, R7 and used R6. Would be for sports. Not exactly high action sports. Would be used for my 6 and 7 year olds soccer games on weekends. Looking to build and grow to capture them playing over the years. Later I would invest in a higher end camera 4 or 5 years down the road. Would acquire lenses over the next 5 to 7 years. I am a noob just starting out.

electronic shutter of R5 R6ii is raw 14bit not yet ?

I use the "ThinkTank Rain cover". It's like the durable one you showed, but it also has a mounting point to mount it to the hotshoe. This way it stay in place and if it's just slight rain, you can "flip" the see-through plastic, for a better view of the screen but it still protects the camera itself. Kinda nice.

I was very frustrated with my R6 II on setting AF for marathon runner. I wanna focus on one runner, focus tracking the runner that go toward me and then switch to next runner. Also I wanna select certain runner from other runner in the same focus distance. Also keep the exposure lock during tracking. Any help is very appreciated. Thank you.

Hi David! I've experienced the slow wake up time until I upgraded to an Sony Though V90 SD Card, cutting wake up time at lease by a half. I also noticed that when shooting with a 400mm 2.8 IS USM lens i can't get 40 FPS.

Thanks for a great video. I only have one issue. Your idea of reprogramming the M-Fn button to initiate image playback looked good until I realised that this killed the ability of that button to return to Auto ISO after setting a specific ISO value using Quick Control Dial 2 (which doesn't let you select Auto). What method do you use to return to Auto ISO?

Great video. Nice resume. Stick to what it's important. Question: did you actually used R8 in the field and had real issues with rolling shutter? The readout sensor speed of this camera is only 14.5ms , it should be very difficult to notice rolling shutter if not in very fast action like Motoracing pans or Golf . Thanks for sharing

The R6m2 sounds so tempting to get as I have the R6. However, I don’t know what Canon is up to by marking it down so much. It seems like they are preparing to drop a R6m3 real soon. I guess we’ll know more after the July 17 announcement.

This video was well done and helpful. I'd like to add another one here that maybe others will stumble upon. I missed a few shots yesterday due to the Image Review in the viewfinder. It's easily turned off in the Menu. The first Menu Group (camera icon), under #8 "Image Review".

Which version do I order to get the correct cable for my T6s.

I would go for #4, but #1 is close...

I like the 4th photo. It says " They Will Fall "

#1 has nice light but nothing going on…if it wasn’t a famous player would have hit the delete key. #2 nice celebration shot but not a lot of emotion…just average except for who the player is. #3 great reaction shot but more of a happy photo. #4 best of the four as captures the most intense emotion of the celebration.

Would've picked the same one, but maybe as a vertical print, with a pretty tight crop. It of course depends on the place you're going to hang it at.

1 is pretty iconic looking but I’d choose 4.

None of them, Messi is the GOAT! Kidding, I would go for the last one. I think it has the best/most emotive celebration of his compared to the other two celebration pictures.

I would go for a frame from the little clip shown from the last photo, fairly sure that's you on camera! haha :D I would pick 4 as it just shows so much emotion and has a great view of the full arena behind him as well. I really like 1 as well, but the unclarity/alien'esque view of the 3 to the left ruin that a bit for me.

I'm trying to do this from a desktop that has no ability to put the sd card into the computer directly and when i try doing it through hooking up the camera it won't give me the option to paste the files :(

Nice part 1 video 👍🏻 Part 2 warping or rolling shutter isn't the problem with the ball. The ball is warping due to pressure from the kick. Just physics, choice of material and tolerances The angel shows it very well. If the ball made a few meters of airtime it would have taken its original form again.
