Easy directions, followed them without a problem. I was so glad to see I could just put the firmware update on the SD card rather than trying to plug the camera into my computer with a cable, etc.
thank you for this video. I spent 2 hours watching other videos, none of them mention that step where you need to use the wheel to access the ok button on the screen to start the upgrade.
My R62 updated via the Canon application. I was surprised that it could do that. The Canon application on my informed me about a firmware update in a message. Once I agreed to the update, the application connected to the camera and loaded the new firmware update. Once the camera loaded the file from the application, it began to update its operating system which took several minutes. My firmware information was confirmed to be updated after the camera restarted.
Thanks for another nice one! Just wondering if you tried to update through the Canon connect App instead? I would like to try that way, but can't pair my camera with an Android phone (I tried a couple of them) but it pairs with a iPhone, but that phone wasn't mine. Anyway obrigado e continuação de bom trabalho
Olá Paulo :) I haven't tried with the app myself, though I am aware it should also be possible. In the end though, the result is the same. Continuação de boa semana!
There's a full description on the Canon website of everything the update includes (click on more details > description): www.canon-europe.com/support/consumer/products/cameras/eos-r/eos-r6-mark-ii.html?type=firmware
Nice one. I didn't know there was a new firmware update :) Mine is in progress as I type. I wish there was a way for them to speed up the sensor read out through firmware lol
I do this and if i dont move over to ok and hit ok it goes back to live view and if i hit ok it goes to where it shows update bar then goes back to live view
I updated the firmware. My camera shows the firmware is updated. Now when I start shooting either single or high speed multiple shots successively the camera says busy and it takes about 3 seconds for it to process the image and I only get 1 image out of all the clicks I did. How do I fix this?
I'm trying to do this from a desktop that has no ability to put the sd card into the computer directly and when i try doing it through hooking up the camera it won't give me the option to paste the files :(
@@MLeeMediamy camera has done the update, can I now delete the files from the sd card to gibe it more space or do they need to remain on the card for the camera to work normally? Don't fully understand what the formating is about?

A lot and i mean a lot of people don’t even know you can update the firmware via wifi/canon app… no need for all these extra steps
@@RCGJR_ Everyday is day 1! Now I know and will do it for firmware 1.4 :)
Good video. Here is some more info to add the firmware did not update until I removed my third party grip. I also removed the lense just to be safe.

After the camera has updated, should/can you delete the downloaded installation files from the SD Card ? Thanks
I formatted mine once it was done yes.
