Wait, yes all 3 cards have a 3x for dining so it would seem that it doesn't matter what card you use. However, doesn't the Sapphire also give you a 10% annual bonus on all the spend you put on that card? So technically using the Sapphire for dining would be a slightly better option because it's going to give you some bonus points on your anniversary.

Serious question…why do so many people bother making the Chase Trifecta? You can have the Chase Freedom Flex and the Sapphire Preferred or Reserve and you get everything in the trifecta except for 0.5 catch all points that you would get with the Freedom Unlimited. 0.5 isn’t that big of a deal and it’s fewer credit cards to think about and one less inquiry on the report.

I stayed in a Choice Hotel brand hotel in Copenhagen and it looked and felt like a Marriott brand hotel. The Choice Hotel brand in Scandinavia are different and elevated compared to America. You can use your choice hotel points to book a Scandinavian Choice Hotel.

Did you consider the Cap One Venture? I ended up going with the Citi Strata Premier over the Cap One Venture as my second entry level travel card to go along with my Chase Sapphire Preferred.

I finally got this card 2 weeks ago. I use the Gold as my food card and the venture as Costco and catch all 😁

Cannot disagree with you more about the rating of the Business Gold and Hilton Business cards. For actual businesses, 4X on your top two spend categories and net $45 back on hotel stays plus 12X Hilton points on employee stays and 30X points on your stays is huge value. And that’s not even mentioning the sheer purchasing power of the Business Gold because it’s a charge card.

The Aspire card has been good to me for several years however, I'm not staying much at Hilton properties this year. Im finding much better price and accommodations outside of hilton. I can stay at LeBua Bangkok for less than a hilton. I stayed at property half a block from the Dbltree Bangkok and the property was better, bkfst very good and less than half the cost of the dbltree. I'm finding hilton properties are charging extra fees. Stupid. Anyway, I'm likely not the only one seeing this. With that, I'll likely keep the Aspire because I'm breaking even.

I don’t like the Mastercard capital one offers and they are changing all their cards to Mastercard. I am looking for new credit cards. I don’t like chase’s credit card because they always pick the worst categories for their credit cards.

Good video! The only card that I thought was out of place was the Ink Unlimited. I find that card to be terrible outside of the welcome offer lol. The Freedom Unlimited will always earn you more points on the same spend, so I dont understand how it can be ranked below?

I love the Wal-Mart plus because I can have things delivered or pre ordered plus I get Paramount + and you have access to cheaper gas for our SUV at Sam's and ExxonMobil. We had an emergency with our EV and Wal-Mart fixed the tire for free due to my status

Great video and card selection. Learned something new for sure. You might want to make another video for people in simple mode or people who just don’t want to deal with the myriad of e.g. Amex credits. Not for simple mode, you could also consider the transfer bonus of chase points (often 30%) and other cards. This can mix up the 1.5 vs. 2 points ranking. For simple mode, the most complex for some users might be dealing with venture x style credits and maybe one free annual night. In such a ranking, the chase cards would probably rank a little higher. I was such a simple user before, and some people simply have a busy life. 😊 thank you for the video!

It's great to hear that you were able to maximize those Hilton FNAs for your honeymoon, I've been wondering whether I should hold off on signing up for those cards until I have a larger trip planned because of their lifetime language, or if I should start the clock for the Hilton upgrade ladder. Definitely a difficult decision for me!

I have the Amex Gold, I had the Delta gold and I upgraded to the Reserve and paired it with my Delta Platinum for Silver status and the companion passes and Uber credits are great for travel and I also have the Bonvoy Business and I use it for the points and Gold status. I pair the this with my Hilton Business when I travel. I use one at the hotel and other outside the hotel with my Amex Gold and my Navy Fed Flagship, PenFed Pathfinder and my Delta Platinum and Reserve are used for Uber rides and flights when I don't use my Amex Platinum or Business Platinum. You have a nice setup but I am not a big Capital One fan because they pull from all 3 bureaus and all of their business cards but 2 report on your personal side. I will save them for later in my journey. I am looking at the Chase ecosystem, and gardening with credit unions DCU, First Tech, BCU, Langley, SECU, and U.S. Senate FCU, PenFed and NavyFed on both the personal and business sides.

Think it’s a good list as far as I know. The Amex gold is probably where it should be if you were already someone who was using it and keeping it (unless you use that credit strictly for shake shack). Sapphire preferred is definitely more of a low mid-tier/high low tier card as far as benefits go but primary cdw is great, and solid for a low cost 3x earner on restaurants. And for some, the freedom cards are really good because they have good multipliers, and have travel protections, and secondary cdw. the unlimited has extended warranty too. For some, that deserves a bump up

My first card was the Hawaiian Miles MC. I would put all expenses on it. Now I earn much more points with the AmEx Gold for Hawaiian Airlines and Chase Freedom Flex (use CSP to transfer pts) for Southwest. I agree with the AmEx Gold ranking.
