If I’m at a restaurant and standing up, I’m not tipping. If I’m ordering to go, I’m not tipping. If I’m sitting for a meal and the service is at least meh, you’re going to get at least 20% from me and if it’s great service may be as high as 30%.
Did you ever try safety razors? I've been on the same $20 pack of blades for like 10 years, much better experience than big box store razors. Also agree with your parking strategy for Seattle sportsball games, easy to find free parking and can be a nice walk - at least during baseball season.
when the whole tipping culture started, i do admit that i was basically shamed into tipping for any and everything. now that its gotten so out of hand, basically just numb to the whole terminal-flip-while-standing-right-there tactic. if its pick up, im not tipping at all. if its dine in then my tip is based upon the services rendered.
I quit tipping, yes. I've never heard anyone going to jail for not tipping(I'm not afraid my mental health is like Bitcoin). I travel more to abroad, and no other country has tipping . I'm living life with credit cards
You clearly have never worked in the service industry. Those employees rely on tips for their income to pay their bills. In some states they don’t even get minimum wage so you not tipping is extremely rude and disrespectful so maybe don’t go out if you can’t afford to tip. In other countries they don’t tip because the service workers get salaries and it’s included in their wages.
@jordanginos9557 I get it. But, not to be rude or sound angry. Is not my fault that they chose to work there, right? I'm not gonna feel pity. I also worked in a high school part-time job ( lifeguard), went to college, had debt, and worked as well as a graduate. Got my full-time job. The American dream, baby. If I can do it, everyone can. No excuse for you to work in the service industry. Again, I don't mean to sound rude or offensive.
In America it’s rude not to tip in restaurants so yeah it is disrespectful. Maybe stop going to restaurants then because nobody is going to want to serve you if you’re going to be cheap because you don’t believe in tipping. Don’t waste their time.
@jordanginos9557 I see. I get it. I'm not enticing everyone to do it. I'm just saying that no one in the USA has gone to jail for not tipping 🤷 . If it is not a law, why should I tip? . It's not my fault there is not a law. Rule or not, I'm not the Congressman. My advice for the service people which I respect. Need to go there " congress ". Reference: 38 years in the USA never had a problem in restaurants in the USA. You can call me cheap, low life, or rude, It does not affect me. I didn't choose the tipping system in the USA, and no law required me to pay the tip. All this is not my fault ( customer). This is all thanks to the red, white, and blue 🇺🇸. Take it up there. I'm a law-abiding citizen. I dont create law I just following it. Again, they are great ppl they deserve an actual salary, not work for tip. This is what I want. Of you want to tip sure. I think they deserve regular salary
Interesting video. Love to see what you consider your financial splurges. Electric razors don't shave close enough. However if you get one, get a corded one - it will last forever. You still need to buy new blades but it's overall cheaper. I pay for UA-cam premium plus some the Platinum card wipes away. Tipping - only on traditional tip roles - sit down service to people making a tip wage, bell services, Uber driver, hair stylists, etc. Interesting video. You're young - pinch all those pennies now and fund that 401. 55 year old Matt will thank me for it.
Great stuff Matt! My most cost effective and life changing thing I learned somewhat recently, is if you just go to your local butcher and buy steak, ground beef, burgers, eggs, cheese and milk, and stop buying everything else we used to at the grocery store, you actually end up saving money. A lot of people talk about steak as a rich man’s food, but you could eat it literally every day and it still be cheaper than most people’s grocery budget per month. Ps. Rice is very cheap as a side, we eat it every night 😂 Pss. You should totally grow a huge beard one day and just release it on camera 😂
Wow!! Man I really need to try this out. I've gone to a local butcher before and usually their steak options are awesome. Definitely need to start doing this more. And haha yes I might just have to try to grow out a beard 😂Appreciate you Anthony!
Agree with most of these. Definitely learned alot about credit cards and the “game” recently. I was wondering if you would end up upgrading your car when it made enough sense to become a write off. For EX: if your taxable income was like over a certain treshold and it just made sense to buy one (using whichever tax exchange/code). I hope that makes sense 😂
Can’t write off the car against your W2 income. Technically can write it off against business income, but that really comes with a lot of caveats. For 1, it’s a huge audit flag. 2 - you have to get a certain class of vehicle to write the whole thing off in year 1 vs depreciating it over 15 years, and it would have to be 100% for business use. 3 - there’s a principle called “ordinary and necessary” for writeoffs. Maybe Matt has another business that he doesn’t talk about, like contracting or plumbing or chauffeuring where a vehicle would be more justified. It would be frankly difficult to convince an IRS auditor that a vehicle is necessary to successfully run a Credit Card UA-cam business.
Matt, Great video sir. There is definitely a lot of stuff people pay for and don’t realize they are paying for it. I like to get the streaming services during Black Friday they are usually a lot cheaper per month. The tipping culture has definitely gotten out of control. I don’t go to restaurants much because they are too expensive for a family of 5. We normally just eat in or maybe once a week eat out but eat at home when I order to go.
@ real talk though, they cost less, last longer with battery life, gps use, and sync with every reputable running app including your fitness app on the iPhone. When it comes to running watches the Apple Watch doesn’t stand a chance, but again, I log like 100miles a month so Garmin works better for me.
@@kwame717 Good stuff appreciate the insight there. Yeah to be honest didn't really know much about the Garmin watches but definitely going to look into them now!
Disagree on the tipping and you are frowned upon for not tipping. If you don't tip you never worked as a server. Subway isn't mandatory to tip. I leave at least 2 dollars when ordering a few coffees. It just is rude to not. So highly disagree. I'd rather not eat out if I can't tip.
Haven’t watched the video yet but I automatically upvoted it just because there’s someone in here complaining about tipping. Ban tipping. I was gonna stay in but now I’m going to a restaurant tonight and not tipping because of this comment.
What are some things that you've stopped buying? Let me know down in the comments 👇
excellent video! love your inputs!
Thanks so much Michael!
Thanks for the info + video!
Appreciate you watching Jimmy!
Tipping 👏🏾 it truly has gotten out of hand! Love the way you articulated your point
Thanks so much Key! Really appreciate your support!

Hey Matt! Great video well done sir!
Thank you so much! Really appreciate your support Sean!

Yeah completely agree with this! Appreciate your support!
Always appreciate your informative videos Matt, have learned a lot! Totally agree on your tipping views. If service is great I will for sure tip well.
Thanks so much Paul! I really appreciate your support as always!
Happy birthday ❤
Thank you :)
Did you ever get the bonus from the Capital One Savor Card?

Anthony we need to see a grocery haul/shopping video from ya! 🥩
@@davidprettoofficial I can make that happen!! 🫡
I quit buying coffee as often. If you go to circle k,bring your mug,it only costs $1. Great job on UA-cam ♥️
True! Our espresso machine has been huge for saving $ on coffee as well. Thanks for watching Vicki!
Things i tip for: table service
Things i do not tip for: everything else
Totally agree!

Do you and Sebby intentionally drop your videos at the same exact time? 🤔
Haha no we don't! Thanks for watching though!

👍🏻
🥇
Good on you for the tipping. Bosses should pay employees not customers
Agreed!! Thanks so much for watching!
Bro, if you need a watch for running, you need a Garmin, not an apple watch
Haha true I should look into that as well. New to the running world honestly haha. Thanks for watching Kwame!
