Do you consider heat shrink as part of the electrical assortment? I do like the "marine heat shrink" it has a water proofing sealant that melts out the ends when you heat it.

1/4" drive Swivel sockets (8mm, 10mm, 3/8", 7/16") Spanner wrenches for Merc lower units. Slide hammer for stuck bearing carriers. Pressure gauge for testing lower unit seals. Fuel pressure gauge for EFI engines. Wood Chisel's (best gasket scraper ever!)😊 Rubber mallet.

Lower unit gear pump?

One item I recently bought is a ratcheting coupler used to make a breaker bar into a ratchet. I use it on a drill to turn the flywheel on my trolling motor for checking spark and trying to start when I have spark/carb/fuel issues. Reduces the blisters on my pull-start hand and keeps the chuck from spinning off when the motor fires. (finally!)

My 9.9 hp Evinrude 2 stroke cost that much in 1986. Think about the inflation that has taken place since and $800 in todays dollars is a significant reduction in cost to the consumer. Direct marketing to Amercans is driving the retail middlemen crazy. They want the cost reduction of cheap overseas labor for their profits but want to prevent you from going around them and buying direct from the manufacturers. Hence tariffs.

Does Tohatsu make an electric starter for their 9.8? I saw a review on McFadden's channel where he said the provisions are there for an electric start on the yamabishi.

I have a Yamaha 15 and I got new carburetor from yambabisi it works very good and is cheaper than buying it from Yamaha

Those motors probably have a compression release to make them easier to pull over. A better way to test would be using electric start/some sort of way to spin the motor over faster such that it’s not engaged then you’ll probably see 100+. Not an expert though, that’s just a common small engine thing

Outboards are like generators; all built in the same plant in China or Japan. You can also get a cheap wife over there, but no warranty
