Crazy to think six years earlier he was putting out 'Heroes' & 'Low' Culture moved so fast back then, and certainly in the UK there was no 'Nostalgia' market. Things were very much in the moment If you were a kid into Bowie in 83..you probably also liked Duran Duran etc, & would not even be aware of Lodger, Young Americans,Low etc. ..I certainly wasnt I find that fascinating. When did we become so obsessed by nostalgia..& why?. My theory is it was around the Time of Oasis & the Beatles Anthology series . In the UK The Beatles were sort of considered a joke up until the early nineties. Maybye not so much in America.

HI RM. yes The sound are great, try 'Heartland' brilliant song. I do enjoy Donna Summer especially the Giorgio Moroder years. Yeah that Refused is decent, can get a bit heavy at times, but very different.. Yeah it was great meeting everyone, be great if we could all meet up one day!

Im actually hit & miss on Magazine, a best of of the first three albums would suit me, but I've got the debut, which i enjoy. I still have never heard a tune by the Comsat Angels which is remarkable as I've heard nearly everything!

Beleive it or not I found 'Deceit' by This Heat at our specilist music charity shop last year, I paid £39.00 , but that insanely cheap! Strange album! Ha,ha, yeah it was a great day, with some great people, Dont worry alot of people in the UK dont know The Sound or This Heat!

That suprises me Tommy, as they are everywhere here. I know in America they are scarce as you could get into the singles charts on airplay alone whereas in the UK you had to sell a record hence why we have so many 12" singles. I always love a punk/alternative ep. Perfect format my grail is Scratch Acid's'Greatest Gift' ep

@@Harrispilton22 Yeah, not sure how many 12" was sold here... Sometimes you could find ex-dj 12" selling recs in fleamarkets and then there could be something worth to buy.

Ive just checked Discogs and actually theres a couple in America on Korova around the £90.00 mark, which checks out with the UK. This one was £50.00, the vinyl VG+ the sleeve has a small tear at the back, but im ok with that. Hey Nick, yeah its all about the 12" at the moment. Great sound at a price you can afford. Love 'Something Good' by Utah Saints. MC Tunes did a great tune Tunes Splits The Atom which samples The Stone Roses. Sadly theyre starting to get more popular. I could pick them up a quid each 5 years ago...now its £3..£5. Bloody audiophiles!

As its you brian i'll let you know it was £50.00. everything VG+ bar a rip at the back...but I think thats a pretty good deal, thats actually the most ive ever paid for a record! Daves finest moment IMO 😂

Im not panicking yet but no forwards! When you say value do you mean to sell to the shop? Inf thats correct then Boo Hoo next to St Marys on Northam Road, Vinilo on Queensway or Erics Records in Woolston. TBH the most you will get is about a 1/3rd of their value, so If you think youve got 200 worth of records your going to get between £60.00/£65.00. If you just want them valued then go on discogs find your pressing and look for the median price...not sure if im helping here?

Hay Dale. there is a tear on the back which may have put a few people off, possibly yourself? as quite understandably if people are paying a lot of money they will often want VG+/VG+. The price he threw out was right on my limit so an easy decision, as i said Ive sold him some nice bits in the past where he's offered me about a 1/3rd which I'm more than happy with so everybodys happy.

Hi mate, yeah it was pure Fawlty Towers! 🤣. Yes I knew about the Dennis Lyxen channel as the other VC channel in Sweden I think?(I think you know him had a channel about 10 years) provided a link to his channel about 5 months ago when he listed his favourite VC channels. It was a great day!

Hey David, yeah had to laugh at the Toffeemen, most people in Southampton have a soft spot for Bournemouth as theyre only 20 miles down the road..but historically they were always useless! TBH they arent cheap over here. You are probably looking between about £20.00-£25.00 for most, but This Charming man & How Soon come in about £30.00 plus. For some reason Panic shows up quite cheaply, maybye because the sleeve is a bit boring!
