  • I was born and raised in America, but my parents are Ethiopian & Eritrean so this video gives you my perceptive dating Ethiopian & Eritrean men that were born and raised back home (with limited exposure to America and Americans). For American women, or Americanized Habesha women interested in dating Habesha men here is a little heads-up on what to expect (pros and cons). I think the ones that will benefit the most are Habesha men who are interested in dating Habesha women born and raised in America. This advice is given from a loving place. Please share your experiences and thoughts below. You don't have to agree with me. I just ask everyone is respectful to one another in the comments section. Thank you!

Every Habesha girl comes on social media and roasts habesha guys. They cant act like African Americans, whites, or others(which they're actually not) just to fit into your/girls' interest! those characters are what make habesha guys unique. if you don't accept them as who they're and want them to change their character, then you should search for guys from other races who would meet your requirements. This idea works for every girl out there!!

@@LilaTalks let me tell you something, I'm not jealous when I see Habesha girl dating outside her culture. But what pisses me off is when they spread false narratives about Habesha guys. from your videos, I could understand that you're from Habesha Parents but you don't have any Habesha Freinds, you grew up in different cultures throughout your school years. Plus most of the narratives like ''habesha Men are Trash" come from Westernized Habesha girls. so, that means they don't have any idea about why Habesha men behave the way they do. Because they have their own customs and values as I said before.

TKA: Sorry, but you can’t take constrictive criticism. Guys like you are shaming Ethiopian/Eritrean girls for not speaking the language and what not. How does this make you unique? You are blaming the girls for not accepting the men the way they are and yet you are doing the same thing. The video is very transparent, she made it clear in the beginning of the video, that not all Ethiopian/Eritrean men are as what she described. You are taking this so personal….

Sorry to hear this but all this bla bla shows habesha men you run into seems not interested. Guess what? I am one of them and the fact that you saying "habesha men over compliment in words , i love you, love you ...." and that is even on first few days? haha this is a complete joke! The one thing we aren't good at is being fake! We are the most real you can find! Flowers? not our thing! Expressing "i love you" not our thing! opening doors, we do that but only when we remember, we don't value it, we do that for eldely thoughtfully though. Showing fake smile? we don't do that shit! But on things that matter and truly caring for our loved one, family and friends? NO ONE TRUELY CARE as much as we do. We are the real deal! The gap you are trying to explain is because most girls (not all) like fake and sort of commercial like stuff - stuff they see on tv or social media posts. Real life however is different! Our weakness? O we have, we don't excercise much, again that is not all men either. But when it comes being real, there is no one like us! Get over it! :) Hey, still you are a sister and no matter the differenct, you know we still care!

Thanks Miki. Are you saying Habesha guys that were born and raised back home who recently comes to this country don't gather with their friends often? I'm just curious which part you disagree with? @@Sophia-angel I'm just curious, have you dated African American men? I am not saying that other men don't hang out with their friends and go out. BUT, there is definitely a big difference between how much and how frequently habesha men hang out with others compared to Americans. It is rooted by our culture to be communal. When American men enter relationship there is at least an acknowledgement of spending less time with the boys. I'm not saying Habesha men don't do the same, but generally speaking (which is generalizing) they do not scale back on their boy times like Americas. There is nothing skewed about it. This applies to various generations in the habesha community. Habesha men might say the same thing about habesha women (since it's a culture thing). I do not know, but there is my personal experience and observations. However, many people agree with me on this point. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate different opinions.

It's interesting that although Ethiopia is listed in the Bible as one of the descendants of Ham that constitute today's African continent, it is mentioned in the Book of Esther, as one of the 127 provinces of ancient Persia. These provinces spread from Ethiopia to India. This might be the root of the racial and even cultural mix of Ethiopia. Lila mentioned the romantic expression of Ethiopian men. I can't speak authoritatively but I see that lavish expression in Indian movies. Persian women are beautiful and a blend between them and black African is bound to produce something spectacular.
