Steve, thank you for letting people know our Fairfield-Suisun Bass Reapers tournament on 11/23 was cancelled. We hated to do it, but it was out of our control. Please let people know that the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) runs Lake Berryessa, but they task the Solano County Water Agency (SCWA) with the mussel inspections. SCWA has let them know they do not have enough personnel to do inspections full time. The BOR has implemented the 30 day closure to develop a plan. SCWA has their next board meeting on 12/12/24, 6:30pm at the SCWA office located at 810 Vaca Valley Parkway #203, Vacaville,CA. The Bass Reapers will have a few members there. Hopefully, us fishermen will be included in a solution. Spread the word for people to attend. Thanks

It's ok to admit that you are disappointed with the big fish catch rate. Like your friend Pete told us a week ago, it's just great to be out there in nature fishing (or in his case hunting).

Totally sucks. Who wants to choose between Clear Lake and the Delta? Time to buy a second boat.

To answer my own question: Power wash your boat and trailer with hot (140-160 degree) water. Same with your bilge. Boat will need 5 days to dry out depending on the weather. Make sure your boat-trailer-bilge and motor are bone dry before getting an inspection.

There has to be a way to decontaminate your boat. Time to do some research.

Trust when I say Christian is the real deal. He put us on the fish early . We were catching 2 Bass at a time on the a rigs, Jerkbait was smacking them and even gottem on the chatter.. I can't wait to get to Clearlake with him.

Time on the water is crucial, especially for the Delta. It’s no surprise we consistently see the same top finishers in the local tournaments. I think it’s time to give Christian a call. I’m tired of catching dinks.

Thx Steve, I’m interested in the boat juice. I’ve used a cleaner/wax called the pink stuff at clear lake bait and tackle but I’m almost out so I’ll give this stuff a shot and some of the other hacks you mentioned, thx.
