I have got to get more striper fishing in this fall and winter. Was out yesterday and had a good time with the bass. Did not see much going on with the stripers but the sea lions were all over. Stripers must be near by.
Preach on about living here...we've both experienced some amazing travels pursuing the carp in a clown suit...nothing beats a beautiful fall morning searching for ditch pickles!
Thanks for the nice report, Steve, and for the fishing strategy for the coming week. I would need a larger boat with more deck space to accommodate that many rods! BTW - good fishing not far from the southern Utah national parks near Torrey and Boulder Tops, but definitely not bass.

Northern CA is the best place to work, fish, hike, and just live. I moved here from AZ in 1978 and it was the best decision I ever made. Well- maybe the second: The first was probably marrying my wife!!! Anyway my question is… the full moon. What’s your take on its effect on the fish? Thinking about next week.
Nice Catch on the wife comment. I like fishing the full moon at night through the summer. As of yesterday the fish have really turned on. I am hoping the cooling weather has triggered the fall bite and next week should be goog. let me know how you do.
I have a funny 2 share Cooper. I’m gonna start up a fishing show on UA-cam. I’m going to record myself fishing for striper sturgeon halibut Shad Salmon Steelhead Trout N Surf Fishing. But… I’m going to save up my videos.. And when it’s shad season… I’m gonna play the halibut video.. sturgeon season… shad video. Striper time… Trout Video. I’ll send everyone to the mountains when the ocean on fire..

Was out yesterday. The bite was on. Top water in AM , rip baits and worms was all you needed the rest of the day. Go out and have some fun.
