One thought about the loser of a conference championship game. IMO the loser should get an AQ bid ONLY IF the loss isn't their 3rd+ loss OR the losing team, regardless if it was their 1st or 2nd loss, was ranked outside of the top 12 going into the game.

Thanks, Luke for saying it. The last two drives gave them those yards. When USC throws two pick sixes on back to back drives, it doesn't give ND's offense a chance to put up more yardage, eat clock, and keep usc's offense off the field. Not to mention the ND defense essentially went up and down the field nonstop 5 times (you gotta count the two pick sixes when the defense ran down the field and convoy'd for Gray and Watts).

USC offensive numbers are gonna be inflated because they had the ball for almost the entire 4th quarter, and the defense was on the field for 3 drives in a row with the pick 6s. So I'm not really all that concerned.

As fun as the last 10 weeks have been let’s keep it in perspective the teams they will face going forward won’t give them any gifts. They will need to be as sharp as they’ve been all season to keep this going. They have the ability to go deep but it won’t be as easy as it has been unless they play smart clean football.

I WISH ND FANS would be way more supportive and would promote Jadarian Price way more than currently done, because he is an absolute stud and without him our running game isn't close to what it's been this season.

Head to Head isn't transient property...common opponents is that. Head to Head is absolutely the tie break for teams with equal records. In situations like when 5 SEC teams all beat each other Head to Head cancels out and you go to resume/common opponents, but we aren't in that boat any more...now its just Ol Miss & Bama vs SC who they both beat.

We have to get to get our kicking game right....I have a feeling we will have some close games where we will need field goals.

I hope we dont lose RB love. So our defense was a little exposed but we stepped it up at the very end.

I figure this is a safe place to talk about all things ND. :) Does anyone else get the feeling that if MF were to leave ND, it would be absolutely detrimental to the program? He's recruiting as well, if not better than anyone has at ND. What are the chances we could pull in another young, relevant coach to keep pace? I don't think he leaves, and I certainly hope he doesn't, but I am preparing myself for the worst.

Tight End U is slowly fading away and rightfully so. Tight ends being the most productive pass catcher is not get you to the win titles.

O line coach has done a great job. we started the season with 6 starts for the line and beat a vaunted Aggie D line ..... great job by Rudolph we have alot of good players coming back...always need QB play by somebody , but alot to be excited about . College football is about the GAMES. This was one of the greatest seasons!

Not the best time of year for defense to play that way, The game was close. Two interceptions for tds. Great. But USC intercepted in endzone. They were that close to going in for score. Also, I hope we don't need a field goal to win or tie in playoffs.

I was there at the USC game on the ND sideline about 12 rows up. Had a blast chirping back and forth with the USC fans. All in good fun. Was hilarious when Love hopped over that guy all the USC fans that were talking trash gave me a high five and were like, "ok that was bad a** that was amazing we can appreciate that" LOL - LETS GO IRISH!!!!🍀

Games like this is why having a player's coach matters.

ND never trailed in this game, how could they rally, the defense made the adjustments to crush USC, the garbage time touchdown was make up for LR. Tied but never trailed, wrong game

It was a big stage with everything on the line for the ND boys. Christian Gray was tested the entire night and though he was far from perfect, he manned up and took the game away from USC. This team is special!

2023 there were only 2 teams in the top 5 in both scoring offense and scoring defense ! Oregon and Notre Dame

I would like to see Notre Dame win its next four games. If the team buckles down in practice and continuing conditioning and nutition, remains resolute, they should be able to do it.

They better tighten up the secondary. #29 got picked on all game. Played terrible, except for the pick 6. Better teams are going to have a field day.

People want to find reasons this team can’t or won’t win games and people will complain about how the defense looked in the SC game but it’s not like SC is void of big time athletes that can make plays on offense. ND was also missing some key pieces that being said the defense stepped up when they had to and made plays to stop drives and ultimately end the game. Offensively they looked as good as they have all year. It’s a nice thing to have a couple weeks off to get healthy and gear up. This team is as dangerous as any team in the playoff outside of Oregon I believe.

For all the talk about how Christian grey had a mostly bad game, I watched it and he was shut down in the first quarter, and the second quarter was good almost the entire time until right at the end when they started targeting him. And then a couple plays early on in the third quarter.
