Hey, just wanted to give you some props.. UA-cam put the Locked On stream for FSU in my feed last week. I watched it. Not impressed. But, what it made me appreciate was your enthusiasm, your analysis, and (I kid you not), the fact that you ennunciate your words and speak clearly. Not one to throw shade, but you do a job that is heads and shoulders above your competition (at least one other FBS school). Keep it up.
@Giantsfan7273 Angelli isn't what Freeman wants imo, that's why he's went to the portal the last 2 years. I'm guessing he'll transfer after the season. Freeman clearly wants his guys to be ready. Minchey will be year 3 and Carr year 2
Please stop beating this horse. It’s DEAD…….! ND’s QB room was vastly different when Freeman took over, as opposed to now! Powlus, Angeli, Pyne and Buckner…! Need I say more? The quality and depth is there. However, they’re young and inexperienced. No program is in the portal because it’s “fun”! Contrary to popular belief, Leonard was a good move and provides a dynamic element. Even though he leaves something to be desired in the pass game, he has to be accounted for by every D coordinator. The QB of the future is on the roster and the future looks bright even without Deuce.
The problem at LB with ND is the number of stud freshman and sophomore LBs that are ahead of guys that would be commiting! Kids today wanna start ASAP and don’t seem to wanna work to earn a spot
Great show man! Two Questions: 1) IF the Irish take care of business, but somehow don't move up where they are hosting a game, (really seems like that is now more of a toss up), and you have to pay for the trip and tickets, is there ANY potential AWAY game (amongst the current top 20) you would NOT go to see ND at? 2) If you were in Freeman's position and had to choose, which would you rather get, Faraimo, or Meadows? Go Irish!
Friday mail bag. Could you explain how Notre Dame could get the number 5 seed? I keep getting confused with the automatic bids. Thanks and Go Irish! 🍀🍀🍀
The four conference champions get the automatic bids they get the buys the highest ranked team outside of those conference championships would get the number 5 seed Which because Notre Dame is not in a conference the five seed is the highest that they can get They can never get a first round bye but they can't get a home game
Anyone know why Cam Williams isn't seeing the field? Wasn't he a top 10 WR recruit? I love ND but if someone like williams isn't seeing the field this early why would Meadows want to come here.
It sounds like tom loy is going 100% off what Eli Holland wrote and the problem with that is there are conflicting reports coming out that owusu-boateng had a fantastic visit and verified by at least one family member. I would love to believe the latter but I'm at the point where I don't really believe a whole lot more coming out of Eli Holland.
I guess maybe I can see that. But Floyd was super productive statistically in HS. That is NOT Meadows. Not to downplay Meadows, .. I think he has amazing upside. And I certainly hope ND lands him. He could be exceptional.
@@dashx1103people need to be cautious about meadows I live in Vegas and watch Gorman play weekly he’s got talent size and speed but he’s playing against inferior talent in state games and he’s not polished he’s just an athlete at this point. Like you said he’s got upside but if people think he’s gonna just come in and dominate they mite be disappointed.
@@chrisowen3264 I certainly see the potential ceiling, which is high. But I also get the Tobias Merriweather vibe. Tobias had huge upside and impressive measurables, but not great production in HS. And ... well, it just didn't work out great. That said, Meadows could be completely different. Don't want to write him off. Great size, speed ... could be a phenom.
ND needs to bring in at least 1 offensive skill position 5* recruit every year. Only 5* they bring in on offense is o-line which is great but they need skill position 5* on offense, at least once a year.
I get that sentiment. But UM did win a NC last year. And Moore was highly regarded. People said similar things about Freeman when he took over at ND. I know that ND didn't have as bad a year as UM is having, but still ... I could see kids buying in when it comes to UM.
That first sentence in and of itself , is SO ridiculous. THEY JUST WON THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!! No one is going to be as good as John Harbaugh. Yes, they may change coaches if they continue to struggle next season, but Michigan is still a powerhouse college program.
I'm really pulling for Brenan Vernon, but ... damn ... I am surprised he didn't make any impact yet. I remember when ND got his verbal. It was a big deal. He was a border-line 5*, and ND seemed to have stolen him away from Ohio State. I really thought he'd be a staple by now. Hope the kid puts it together and has a great 2025.
I disagree! When I first saw him , I think it was at the Under Armour High School All-Star game practise. He looked really stiff and mechanical. I said at that time, he was a long ways away from playing top end college football. In fact I was shocked he was even a 4 star. He only met that criteria because of size and strength for a high school edge rusher.
He’s not what people think. I live in Vegas and I watch Gorman play weekly he’s got potential but if you think he’s going to be the next great WR I’ll caution you he’s gonna need some polishing.
You might want to look at his stats he's not the player people think he is I'm not saying he's not a great wide receiver but he is no Michael Floyd trust me I mean I am a Notre Dame fan through and through and I hope we get them and I hope that he would be that good but I just don't see it he's been pretty quiet this year considering his status

MAILBAG? Although you've made a good case to accept this team as a strong team, despite Reilly Leonard's passing incompetence, the frustration comes from recognizing how all the rest of the team plays at a national championship level other than Leonard. Top notch, defensive line, cornerbacks, even linebackers. Top notch, offensive line, running backs, even wide receivers potentially. But Reilly Leonard's lack in the passing game may inevitably hold Notre Dame back from a strong playoff presence since he is so easily limited by good defensive strategies. Unless he has a Tebow type of year. My question, therefore, centers on Reilly Leonard's future in the NFL: don't you think he would make a fantastic wide receiver? Considering his running ability, the challenge of bringing him down, and his height and elusive speed? I know we've not seen him catch a pass, but so far everything suggests he could have an illustrious career in the NFL as a receiver. At what point could he make that transition, learning form Tebow, for a long future and career in professional football?
@@michaelmitchell7350 Trust me they will not 100% will not go to the portal for a quarterback Not with Steve CJ and Kenny I think that you will see Steve start early on while CJ and Kenny have a competition by the third game you'll see one of the youngsters in there
Interesting and insightful show, as usual, thanks! Here's one for the Mail Bag... I always have mixed emotions when Riley Leonard scampers into the endzone. On the positive side, six points for ND, right?! On the negative side, it takes away opportunities from our uber-talented RBs; less carries, less yards, less TDs for them. Sure, they are "team players" and they share in the team's success, but doesn't it also plant a seed in their thinking? They of course want to enhance their resume' for the NFL, but getting fewer snaps, fewer carries and fewer points isn't helping. Why not showcase and reward the backs that SHOULD be here long-term, rather than building up one-and-done Leonard?
Why not appreciate the QB who elected to transfer to Notre Dame, was elected captain by his teammates, works extremely hard, and has played really well?
I'll worry more about Leonard staying healthy in a playoff scenario since knocking the QB out greatly increases your chance at winning. See how UVA beat Pitt last week..
