Marcus Freeman is the best. He's a highly educated athlete and coach. He's a great role model for young athletes.
Yes. Marcus is an elite recruiter especially given ND recent history and academic expectations. It's trending up. Go irish 🍀
Then why are they dumpster diving for low 3* to flip?
Hi Tyler-
Love the show.
With no NIL, Marcus would be ahead of BK.
Huge change. Marcus hustles and sells better than BK. Keep the faith. He will eventually get ND to the next level.
7.5 is a complete fair score.
Your rationale in rating Freeman as a recruiter is based solely on final rankings as opposed to on field results. ND hasn’t had this kind of length, speed and depth since the early 90s. Look at the big picture. He’s not just recruiting stars, he’s recruiting Notre Dame men.
That’s lame as fuck. The DL & WR recruiting are horrible. They’re going to flip a kid with no other P4 offers. Sulfsted, Hulak, Dixon, Reiff are all awful.
The host is far too young to have any real perspective on ND football in the past
@@xandercrews4729you're lame as fuck. Who died and made you a recruiting expert? You're a troll a fool and a tool and a broken record. I'd tell you to seek professional help but no one obviously cares about your lame -ss. Congratulations
@ he’s not wrong, DL & WR recruiting is bad.
I agree there are improvements overall. But they are seriously lacking at WR and DL, regardless of ranking. That matters too in my opinion, which is why 7.5/10 is fair.
Good stuff and I don't think I would call Marcus Freeman anything but an improvement in recruiting - Whether you say he's 6, 7 or 8 is it probably right? Dunno, but its nitpicking which artifical number we choose.
Some artificial set of measuring by numbers we set up is pretty squishy as a metric, but 'better than before' is pretty easy to determine. The admin and the collectives are just getting their feet under them and with big coaching recruitment AND retention already, you get a step closer to bigger player recruitment. Add in a second collective, a new facility, and a couple of long balls he threw at recruiting, that is something we didn't have going for us before.
Sure, he didn't land the long balls this cycle, but, if you don't throw 'em, you sure as hell aren't going to win any.
Good luck tomorrow, and Go Irish!

I would rather see them recruit a dozen 4 star with the right attitude than a dozen 5 stars with the wrong attitude.
There’s no reason to believe they’re mutually exclusive and the problem is they’re taking a bunch of 3* in lieu of 4 or 5*. The Tulane commit is terrible.
He’s been good at adding depth in certain areas but still hasn’t been able to close on big time players at QB WR and pass rushers. So it’s been more quantity than elite talent even though he’s brought in some elite talent it’s not at positions that allow them to truly be an elite program.
@@chrisowen3264 accurate. I’m tired of all the 3* hype. No, they’re not all secretly diamonds in the rough. For everyone 1 that pans out, at least 5 flop and are totally forgotten.
@@xandercrews4729I will say this though he’s giving them more options to be in the discussion for big time kids which they haven’t been able to do for awhile. But it does go back to what my original comment said until he closes on these kids he’s not an elite recruiter.
@ he’s not elite at ND, but he would be at a school with less restrictions. And I don’t expect him to have a top 5 class every year, but they should almost always be easily in the top 10.
I’m fine with Tennessee Miami or any big 12 or any other ACC team
A for effort C for results
I feel better about matching up with Miami over Penn St.
I don't put a lot of stock in this assessment
18:35 he’s worth it when the other option is a kid with ZERO P4 offers outside of ND.
And see you just mentioned Keyon Keeley you can't even find any stats on him at Alabama
@@rickyharris8218 ok, just look at the young players contributing for ND. KVA, Young, Bowen, Gray, Shuler, Love all 4*+. Traore was also a 4*.
If we beat USC by 14+ no playoff team wants to see us
One game at a time no sense at looking at the playoffs
I totally disagree with that As far as What number you want to Mark him down as a recruiter First of all I'm gonna start out with This five-star stuff How many Football players having panned out to be Five stars it's all political anyway What happened to that uh one wide receiver that came here he was five stars from St Louis He went to UCF and he never played it down and you ain't heard a word about him since okay Keon Keely what happened with that he's at Alabama and raised no hell whatsoever so I disagree
@@rickyharris8218 do your research, 17 of the 32 1st round picks this yr were former top 150 players. There’s only 32 5* each class vs over 1,000 3*. The hit rate on 5* is infinitely higher.
