@@Iluvfootball89 I put a few in there. They rattle around.
That looks awesome! Building 1 now with pavement racing in mind.
@@Paul__FC thanks!
What? Rlaarlo sells foam wheels? I couldn't find them on their website tho... :(
@@anthonylim5120 I bought from their Taobao shop as I am in China.
Salut, J'ai également une kkpit K2 golden Beetle, cette machine est géniale. Allez-vous présenter la kkpit kp-m ?
@@zackfair7697 yeah, it’s a great car. I don’t have a kp-m.
@@Triggered-RCil sera prochainement disponible.
Nice review, how did you get the rear gearbox sorted?
@@baljitmiller3540 I just didn’t have it right enough I guess. After I took it apart, I tightened it down more and it worked.
You must have re-centered the bearing when put back together. That servos chatting would be from vibration from that bearing you corrected
what is the bullet size those surpass hobby ESC's are needing?
A size up from the ones on Rlarrlo motors. That’s all I can tell ya at the moment as I’m away from my cars for the summer.
@@Triggered-RC thanks for the answer. those rlaarlo motors do not have wires soldered on the web shop, so I can't tell.
I really like the paint work on that truck. I might give it a try… what brand and style of paint did you use again? I just built a $1500 TLR Typhon. The only reason I am giving you the dollar amount is so you understand when I say built… this thing is awesome! Now I want to paint an awesome body for it…
@@RC-Closer1313 I used Tamiya clear Blue and clear Pink backed in Bright Silver. The clear paint really gives a depth to the color, but it is a little bit trickier than normal paint. Thick or thin spots will come out as different colors basically. So thin even coats are needed.
@@Triggered-RC thank you👍🏻
What size are those motors?
Not sure. They are the ones which were supposed to come installed.
Awesome tank dude! Roughly how much for one of these?
Thanks. Can’t remember how much I paid. I think about $300. Ones with plastic tracks etc., are quite a bit cheaper.
@@Triggered-RC Wow that isnt't all that much, then again you mentioned there are more premium options. Thansk for the fast answer and your video! :D
@ 26:40 holy cow! That car is absolutely ripping. Insane
Yeah. And now it is upgraded and should be a 150km/hr car, at least. But haven’t had the chance to run it.
@Triggered-RC Sick! I'll definitely be tuning in. I run off-road RC only so super curious to see these things flying. Thanks man!
An aftermarket center driveshaft would be another cool touch. Pretty sure Yeah Racing or someone made aluminum one before, unsure if theyre still readily available now
Can mod a TT01 drive shaft I think. But don’t need to running a brushed motor.
Love your videos man. Thank you.
Thanks!
Can you post a link for the foam ryres proeuct?
the way you drive a tank is like what i think if michael schumacher was born during ww2 and was a tiger 1 driver.
😂
cool video :) seems to be quite fast, what motor did you put in it? :)
Hobbywing Justock Handout Spec 13.5 turn brushless.
Awesome 😊
How do you compare it to an Avante MK?
The Avante MK II is a DF03. No comparison. 100 times better. Or do you mean the original Avante? Way ahead of that as well. I don’t have the latest Avante, but I asked Gavin of RCKicks to do a vid comparing his Durga to the new Avante. I think it’d come out on top.
@@Triggered-RC I may have to buy a Durga to try it out. Any suggested upgrades to buy? May as well smoke my credit card all at once. Thank you for the reply!
@@thunderbomb515 Probably a good idea: Shocks, double slipper clutch, aluminum suspension mounts. It took me months to get all the upgrades I have on mine. Bought most of them direct from Japan. Slipper clutch was the hardest to find. Cost me about $100. PlazaJapan is a good site for buying Tamiya parts from Japan.
@@Triggered-RC Thank you for all the answers. My friends like to run Traxxas Bandit's or Team Associated. I like throwing out crazy (Tamiya) buggies whenever we get together. I was running one of my Falcons the other day. They are young and never seen one before. Nor have they seen a mechanical speed control! Dang I am old!
Great plane, crazy agile. Even on low rates the roll rate is impressive, and with flaperons it'll land on a picnic table!
I have a Tamiya F103 and I'm thinking of installing a brushless motor in it. I've already broken two brushed motors, and I've been advised to switch to a brushless one. I don't think I'll have a problem with control because I have a gyroscope, but I might not run it at 100% power. I need to find out if it will just spin and slide around!
Give it a try. Maybe try brushless with 13-17 turns.
Very nice man ! it goes great with that BZ I recently bought this kit, so now i have to buy some hop ups from like RC Mart before i start building it 😄
Nice. Not many hopups needed. Just ball bearings really and maybe a hotter motor.
@@Triggered-RC oohh, i have plans for several hop ups 😉
Yes !!!! What the config ???
Hobbywing 1060, 2s Lipo, Tamiya BZ Superstock Motor.
Nice are you in Japan?
Na man. China.
Good looking Manta Ray,nice touch with the Optima Mid wheels 👌
Thanks!
It would be awesome to see that buggy on the track. Do you go to tracks?
There are a couple tracks in Shanghai. Only a couple. I always plan to go check them out, but never seem to find the time. I actually have a dozen rigs I wanna see on a track. So, I’ll have to go. Maybe in August:
@@Triggered-RC that would be a ton of fun to bring all the RC’s that you’ve been wanting to run around the track and getting some killer content while having a blast 💥… sounds awesome
10:26 nice trick! Thanks for the video. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! But that was 99% luck 😂
Do you have both top forces?
Have driven them. Never got around to buying them.
Yeah, they run a lot closer to the ground, like the Durga. Probably better for racing, but who races Tamiya these days? What really impressed me was 1) how well it handled, and 2) that I didn’t break it! Lol
@Triggered-RC There's a lot of races all over the world that races Tamiyas. Look at recently tamico off road cup Besides japan they raise them all the time. And don't forget they just came out with a t r f 421 Which could Possibly keep its own against other on road cars.
@Triggered-RC I think you. Should get no top forces. They are different than manta ray.
Awesome,,running mine with HW 17.5 and same esc.
Great scenery too!
Super-cool video/revieuw! I want to build and drive one too!
Thanks!
Great truck! Smart move installing ball bearings, I feel that all Tamiya rc vehicles need them!
Helps them go faster and increases battery life. But if you are building for a kid, or a kid is building, plastic is the way to go. No maintenance. Can let them get wet and stay wet.
My back tires do the same thing, what esc and motor are you running?
Hobbywing xr10 pro stock esc and a 8.5 turn V10 motor.
Something is too tight, ive the ta05 v2 ( car version of this) and the belts dont sound like that- it would be nearly silent there.
Yeah. The gear mesh is too tight in the video. Fixed that.
i won't buy RILAARLO , too many problems with them 🤔
I’d recommend buying their cheap buggies and trucks though. They are well worth the money. As for their speed run rigs, the level of machining is just not high enough, and the designs could use some refinement.
thanks for the tips . i ordered those exact wheels for my cc02 and found they were to small so i was trying thrn on the mf01x. but couldn’t really think what to do after that . this video has inspired me to go the few steps further . maybe i’ll do the citroen baja 😂👍
Nice!
I’d try a 3650 3300kv brushless motor, won’t be to fast & low maintenance. You can turn the punch level down on the esc, if needed.
Yeah, that would be easier on the truck. However, I am always impressed with the BZ Super Stock brushed motors. They are plenty fast.
I purchased a 917! The car is not bad, but Rlaarlo's customer service totally sucks! I have spent around $500,00 on the car and many upgrades for the car. Rlaarlo shipped me a new pinion gear and the USPS delivered the package to the wrong state. I have been going back and forth with Rlaarlo for a month trying to get either a replacement or refund. They absolutely refuse to make this right and keep telling me to contact the post office which I have and am being told that they can not find the package. Rlaarlo is willing to loose a good customer over $20.00. I will be telling anyone to not purchase from these crooks.
UPDATE…I just wanted to share I went through this same exact issue and was somewhat lost as well since everything looked to be in good shape. The issue was the armature, Losi part #SPMXMXA1 Bearings are fine on mine. After armature replacement the thing runs as if brand new. What did it to mine in the first place was running it in wet dirt, then I tried to LIGHTLY hose it down very carefully. Well I guess water got into the flywheel case and caused something to go wrong with the motor. Will not be running in anything but dry conditions from here on out lol.
Thanks for the information!
Hi could you tell me which way the curved shims go on the motor/armature/stator
@@benjomarriott9362the direction does not matter. They are just shims in this case.
@@colinbrannan thankyou mate
Very helpful video as I’m going through the same thing. I got the new armature, I guess I’ll go ahead and get bearings as well lol
Thanks
Great video
Thanks! I wish I had remembered to take spare drive shafts though. I’ll have this truck back on with some steal drive shafts, 9mm brass hexes, steal wheels, and some thicker shock oil.
What’s the link to the rc parts
I’ve tried to find a non China link. I’ll search again and see if I can find them on Alibaba. If I find them, I’ll add to the video description.
the new motor you put in i have as well but where would i find the wiring for them to connect to the esc ?? Also i got my car without the electronics and it has been one hell of a journey figuring this monster out.
I like the colour you choose is it metallic orange?
Thanks! It’s Tamiya copper.
I have a couple videos of my MF01x up as well, also painted in Tamiya copper. You can check them out.
@@Triggered-RC Yeah already watched those. Nice work! Love what you did there. Something I am also very interested in doing. Love the 4x4 upgrades. I was thinking of just throwing a pro ling bug body on my Traxxas clone 4x4 mash up. But your build looks a lot more fun but expensive?
Running pin spikes on pavement is cringe
Yeah. They tend to disappear rather quickly.
