    Thanks!
The brush-less upgrade of the Tamiya GF-02 Squash Van was fast, but I think less power and GF01 wheels make this a real upgrade in the end.

I recently won a Squash Van from the RCKicks channel and I put in a brushless system. However, I opted for a 60a Juststock g3 sensored system with a 17.5t motor. My transmitter also allows me to dial down the throttle from 0-100%. You definatly did the right thing by going with the less powerful setup. I know the system I'm using is about as fast or just slightly faster than the silver can that came with it, but brushless systems are so much more maintenance free because of the lack of brushes. And the sensored system took an already smooth drive train, and made it like butter. It will only do 2s with the setup I put in, but really, that all it needs. Great video. I happened upon your channel, and am now subscribed. I look forward to your future endeavors.

Nice! Winning a Squash Van is pretty cool. Yeah, brushless is less maintenance for sure. And a 17.5 turn is a good match. I’ve sense put a Tamiya BZ Superstock in my squash Van. Haven’t had a chance to run it yet. I think the GF-02 chassis is Tamiya finally perfecting the geared design. I expect it will be in the line-up for a decade at least.

Great looking build, it definitely looks like it’s more suited with that motor

The ol' downgrade, upgrade. Been there before! Haha! The Squash Van is an awesome truck, no doubt about it. I like how you used the spiked chevron tires, they look like they increased the stability quite a bit. Great video!

Thanks! Yeah, those tires make it more stable, but since they are soft, they also have quite a bit more grip, which is nice.

I have a 5000kV Hobbywing setup kicking about, and I keep glancing at the Lunchbox. This little mini series has told me what I already know - it's a silly idea. XD Keep up the good work!

I’d try a 3650 3300kv brushless motor, won’t be to fast & low maintenance. You can turn the punch level down on the esc, if needed.

Yeah, that would be easier on the truck. However, I am always impressed with the BZ Super Stock brushed motors. They are plenty fast.

Slower is sometimes better. Running 2s and Reedy Radon 15T in my squash, with Y.R. Big Bore Go shocks, and its plenty fast. Handles great.
Brushless means more wear and tear, more broken parts, more body damage.
    Nice review

Thanks! I might throw in a faster motor. Wondering how the 4100kv brushless setup would work in my Kyosho Mad Van. Could take its 15 or 17 (can’t remember) turn motor and throw it in the Squash Van.

And your squash maybe faster !

Happy New Year to you too. Yeah, I think it could be built as a trail truck. I kinda want to buy another kit and build it to be a truggy😃

Been following this lil mini series, and recently myself have been using super stock instead of brushless some of the Tamiya cars really don't need a brushless combo although used to swear by it but more fun if ya can actually use em 😁👌🏽 love the wheel combo great call 🤙🏽 I was thinking comical ones on mine when it lands definitely been helpful this little series and put me onto your channel 😊👊🏽

No more whielies? My dump truck is on brushless and I should also downgrade as it's currently a tumble truck 😅.

Can still do them on a grippy surface. Think I might add just a tad more power. Gonna try a Superstock in it. I have an RZ one lying around somewhere.

I run a dirt tune on my grasshopper it's the perfect motor for it. It has 17,000 rpm. But I don't think it's a 27 turn.
