My first video on this Tamiya MF01X/GF01 hybrid was quite popular, so I thought viewers might like to see some more of this custom build in action. So I took it along on my recent trip to Moganshan China, a hilly resort area just outside of Hangzhou.

MF 01X Beetle is my next build.
Hop ups cost a small fortune.
Nice paint...blue windows looks cool.

That’s the trade-off with Tamiya. The kits may be cheap, but if you modify and upgrade, they can cost a small fortune. Just recently I was planning to build a TT-02 Truck with tracks, and upgrade it a bunch totalling about $500, but I got a deal on a Traxxas TRX4 Traxx for less, so I bought that.

I think so. Other people run them without running the GF01 arms etc.
