Thanks!
This is a wrenching video of installing the big Rlaarlo motors that were supposed to be on my car from the factory. Unfortunately, Rlaarlo's 120 amp ESCs aren't powerful enough to run them.
In this video I attempt to install two Hobbywing Max 6 ESCs, but end up installing 2 Surpass Hobby RocketRC 160amp 3-6s ESCs. It's an extremely tight fit!
Motors: rlaarlo.com/pr...
ESC: www.alibaba.co...
You got that bad boy to run… cool!
Still haven’t had a chance to go run it though… Should go like the wind though.
@@Triggered-RC I am a Rlaarlo fan… when they straighten out just a few small issues they will take over the market!! They really have to figure out what a 10th scale vehicle is for one… better quality control and shipping… and build a real 10th scale and yes… a real 8th scale. My new Omni Terminator is an awesome truck but it’s a twelfth scale and it was marketed as a 10th scale…
@@RC-Closer1313 Scale is kinda funny in RC. Just put a Tamiya CC01 1/10 scale next to a Losi Baja Rey 1/10th scale and you can see what I mean. Or a 1/10 scale Traxxas Max next to a 1/8 scale Traxxas Max Slash 😆
@@Triggered-RC yeah… I think that to be called an 8th scale, 10th scale… whatever scale the RC should have to be within a certain size range. Like for example: like 10th scale should be between 14-16 inches.. and 8th scale 18-20 ect…
I absolutely love when "thing's" are super tight...😅
Except for ESCs being jammed into RC Cars, I agree. 😂
Hey man what a great channel I'm kind of bummed out that I just now found it I'm going to have to spend some serious time going through all your videos but what I see so far I said good job sir
Thanks! I hope you find some vids you like. Tell your friends 😄
@@Triggered-RC I absolutely will I feel like too many channels are getting stale and what they are doing and I like the way you do yours it's not a bunch of pomp and circumstance its knowledge that's to the point and is correct
gracias a tu video me anime a comprarme un dual motor ya despues comprare las actualizaciones y los engranes definitivamente si los voy a cambiar si me pudieras ayudar con eso te lo agradeceria tengo el mismo ak 787 dual
I wonder if you can bend that servo mount and fasten it to the tower to tower brace ? Maybe tap the aluminum and drill holes in the carbon fiber
Yeah. I was thinking of that. Or if I could mount the servo on the front bumper.
cheers from Zhuhai
Greetings! Off for Lunar New Year yet? Bloody cold here. -6 🥶 Want to paint my Durga, but sub zero painting seems to lead to paint that flakes off in a crash… So, gonna wait a week.
@@Triggered-RC We have a cold wind, got down to 4, lol. Most of our staff are off, but our project managers and engineers are super busy with new projects. I was in SH back in 2015,16 doing the disney park, wishing warm weather for you mate! Looking FWD to your Durga!
Thinking about pre ordering, Does the dual motor version come ready to run or do i have to put it together?
Dual motor version comes ready to run, but I don’t think they’ll be shipping any with the big long motors in as their esc doesn’t work with them. Still, with the motors I removed, 100mph is achievable. If you do get one, make sure all the screws are tight!
Hello, what are the blacks foam tyres you put on it please ? And where can i buy it ?
Thank you very much.
They are from Rlaarlo for the first AK car.
Bonjour de la France! avez vous pu régler le gyroscope?
En attente du run avec les moteur rlaarlo! cordialement
The gyroscope is still in it, but I haven’t figured out what the issue is yet. As far as running the car, it tracks amazingly straight without a gyro. So, I am not sure it is needed.
I’ll probably have to a video up in a week or so. Waiting for some warmer drier weather.
Nice video bud the 2 red motors would you want to sell them lmk bud
I’m putting them in new builds. They are quite cheap here though. Haven’t priced the motors, but those ESCs are like $8 a piece.
what is the bullet size those surpass hobby ESC's are needing?
A size up from the ones on Rlarrlo motors. That’s all I can tell ya at the moment as I’m away from my cars for the summer.
@@Triggered-RC thanks for the answer. those rlaarlo motors do not have wires soldered on the web shop, so I can't tell.
What size are those motors?
Not sure. They are the ones which were supposed to come installed.
Is that new 68 tooth gear Mod 1?
63 tooth
@@Triggered-RC oh cool
Keep the Max 6’s. The prices are about to rise (like everything else in America thanks to dem policies) and you can ALWAYS find something to do with a Max 6🤔
Wish I could have made them fit… Have kept them, but no projects to use them in yet. They are OEM parts. So a bit cheaper than ones that come in a box.
i won't buy RILAARLO , too many problems with them 🤔
I’d recommend buying their cheap buggies and trucks though. They are well worth the money. As for their speed run rigs, the level of machining is just not high enough, and the designs could use some refinement.
