Thank you so much for the new video and for letting us have a glimpse into your life during these times! I've been watching your videos for about 4 years now, and every time you upload a new one I'm amazed yet again. Your videos were what made me try out new things with my art, experiment and paint outside and just enjoy the process. I still remember how seeing them for the first time filled me with such joy and desire to run outside and create art (I was 17 at that time and pretty close to giving up on drawing, despite it being my biggest passion since childhood), and even though I decided against going to art school in the end, I would not have chosen to study in Tübingen if it weren't for you having painted there. I recently rewatched the video, and being able to recognise all the places but one felt amazing! I even was able to take life drawing classes at my uni there, and I have never had as much fun in any class as that one. And this year I finally managed to realise one of my dreams of studying in Japan, while still drawing and painting and chasing after this other dream of doing art forever. While the past few years have been filled with uncertainty and many ups and downs, looking back at everything and connecting all the dots that have led me here makes me realise that things always somehow work out in the end, despite the future still being full of uncertainties and challenges. You giving us such an insight into your life, your passion and the joy you radiate truly manage to help others too, and I really want to thank you for that, for being such an inspiration. I wish you all the best for your future, that you can keep doing what you love, that you can always maintain that joy and curiosity and that everything will work out in the end. Sometimes I still look at american landscapes and wonder how it would feel like seeing it all in person... because some part of me knows it exists of course but the other has only ever seen it in pictures and movies so it also still feels so unreal to me. Thank you for sharing your journey, I've been watching your vlogs for a few years now, since i saw your calarts portfolio stuff, and even though i haven't made it out west yet, your videos were a huge inspiration for me going to school and for me pushing further towards a career into the arts. I've been going so long into this and still don't know where I'll end up, but i know thats all apart of the journey. Hello, I am a Korean high school student who wants to attend CalArts. If you don't mind, I would like to ask you a few questions. First of all, it may be unnatural because I am currently using a translator to speak English. Please understand. I want to become an American animation director, but I actually don't have enough money to prepare for CalArts or Sva. Do I have to go to famous animation colleges such as CalArts, Sva, Sheridan, etc. to become an American animation director? Please answer me honestly. When I look at American animation director or storyboarder information, most of them are from CalArts or Sva, so I was always curious. And someone says that the reason is that CalArts or Sva are all rich people in America, so they make connections and become directors. Is this really true? I just wonder that I don't think that can be true. Is it really impossible for an ordinary Korean high school student like me to study in the U.S. and become an American animation director? I wonder if anyone who is not rich like me or someone who is not from a famous art college can become an American animation storyboarder or director. I'm sorry for asking a lot of questions and being out of words. Currently, I'm really desperate for a dream, but I'm depressed because of practical difficulties, so I've been curious about this and that

Waw! Calarts looks so normal here in comparison to what I have been seing some other students are posting. Whoeever had thought it was a mental Health facility and not a school. Such an unusual video to vary! I would love to know why some students want to ruin the image of the college and why Calarts seemingly doing nothing about it. I have written to the school already without answer ... Two inconclusive stories? I love Calarts because it looks a lot like my own college in the Dominican Republic though it was an engineering school. However I love art better but I was never so good at it. To me your level of detextry is similar to architectural and industrial design students and more. You are truly gifted by God. I love the gardens in Calarts and the mountains in the background. I had that at my school too but the school here in the Dominican Republic is a lot smaller and the place has been changed a lot to add more building area so that I do not enjoy it anymore. The mountains are either bigger or closer. Inside, your school looks much like the Domínico Americano where I took my English classes: Same walls, doors and corridors. Because of this and an unknown reason I am in love with that place. So much in love. I also loved the library, the place where I spent most of my time. It looks very COOL.
