  • It's another week of painting in gouache and floating around. We got to discover so many beautiful and different places, moods and color palettes to draw inspiration from, and it feels like I am really reconnecting with why I loved painting in the first place so much.
Thanks so much for watching you all!! :)

Thank you so much for the new video and for letting us have a glimpse into your life during these times!
I've been watching your videos for about 4 years now, and every time you upload a new one I'm amazed yet again. Your videos were what made me try out new things with my art, experiment and paint outside and just enjoy the process. I still remember how seeing them for the first time filled me with such joy and desire to run outside and create art (I was 17 at that time and pretty close to giving up on drawing, despite it being my biggest passion since childhood), and even though I decided against going to art school in the end, I would not have chosen to study in Tübingen if it weren't for you having painted there. I recently rewatched the video, and being able to recognise all the places but one felt amazing! I even was able to take life drawing classes at my uni there, and I have never had as much fun in any class as that one. And this year I finally managed to realise one of my dreams of studying in Japan, while still drawing and painting and chasing after this other dream of doing art forever. While the past few years have been filled with uncertainty and many ups and downs, looking back at everything and connecting all the dots that have led me here makes me realise that things always somehow work out in the end, despite the future still being full of uncertainties and challenges.
You giving us such an insight into your life, your passion and the joy you radiate truly manage to help others too, and I really want to thank you for that, for being such an inspiration. I wish you all the best for your future, that you can keep doing what you love, that you can always maintain that joy and curiosity and that everything will work out in the end.
Super sorry for the long comment I hope you have a great day!!!! 💛

I think I might have taken the same life drawing class when I studied in Tübingen, the instructor is really nice :) (plus, I studied abroad in Korea, are we the same person?). I second everything you said. Thank you so much for uploading again, I'm living vicariously through you for sure haha.

O my god your sweet sweet comment made my day, this means so much to me, thanks so much for taking the time to write all of this down for me. You are inspiring me right back, I feel like it sounds like you are on such a pure and wonderful art path! Just truly following what your heart desires and creating and being in touch with what excites you, not because this might get you praise or jobs or money but purely because it makes you happy! I aspire to be like that!!
I am so glad you didn’t give up drawing, it’s such a wonderful thing to do and it sounds like you really have a calling for it which would be hard to ignore.
Also Japan!! I am jealous!! I‘m actually heading there in June, it sounds like such a wonderfully inspiring place to be as an artist.
Thank you so much again for your comment! It totally motivated me to keep doing my silly lil videos so thank you so much it means the world: Please if you read this could you comment your insta or something? I would love to follow your art journey as well!!

@@scribblediary237 Thank you so much for the reply!! I feel like we created some kind of positive loop because your reply made my day in turn!! (Also, long reply incoming again, I am so sorry)
To be honest I actually completely panicked and ran around in circles for a good hour this morning, because while I do have a regular art Insta, I kept procrastinating on posting there for years because I never felt like anything was good enough, and as you are someone I've really really been looking up to, the thought of being perceived made me even more afraid at first🥲 But your words actually gave me that last push to just upload everything I still have on my phone and it feels like such a relief! So thank you again, I'm really so so grateful for all the energy you've given me these past few years! (My username is the same as here, @mirabellentee btw! I'd be honoured but I'm still panicking a little writing this,,,,,)
Actually, I always felt like it was the other way around, that you were the one creating art simply because it makes you happy, so seeing the harsh reality of the art and animation industry and how people like you who have worked so hard for years and years of their lives to get to such a professional level having trouble finding jobs or having to work such ridiculously long hours feels absolutely wrong... I really really wish for a much better environment for you and all the other professionals, where you can truly go back to enjoying art the way you used to as kids. In your videos, you're always sparking that joy that really reminds me of childhood, and I wish that you can always keep creating art with this feeling you're radiating! And I love love love seeing the art you create purely for yourself!
And yeah, Japan really is inspiring. Basically every corner here is worth being painted, so while finding something interesting takes only seconds, it also gives you the feeling of never ever getting to draw everything you want 🥲Especially the countryside is soooo beautiful, and even in a touristy place like Kyoto there are so many corners where there aren't really any people and you can draw in peace, so I really think the country will be perfect for you!! And I'm so so excited to see Japan through your eyes and art! I wish you a safe trip here and hope you'll have a great time!
